Those eye protection techniques are next level, the hand-shield technique, the look away technique, and my favourite the peek-a-boo face shield technique. This is what safety looked like in the USA 100 years ago.
Don't forget how much effort the US is putting into keeping these guys in the Stone Age for as long as possible.
LMAO!! LOSER!!!@@alldifficult
@@alldifficult yeah it's the US's fault...lol
@@Felorn6863369 1+1=2. Lol
People are cheap and expendable in most of the world
Safety out the window!
100% penetration out the window!
Nice work tho.
The guy with the cut off torch is an absolute master at it... very clean cuts and no huge blobs sticking underneath
❤❤❤❤❤
It's 3/8 mild steel, you could cut through that with a butter knife!
my thought exactly, thats the only good thing i can see in this video lmfaoaoao. the rest of it is fucking abysmal
I'm still surprised they have electricity. P.S. those welds are going to break as they have no penetration and a weld groove was never cut.
I have seen better welds from first year welding students. Welding over paint no way those will hold. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.
cm precision work right there, not that high precision is called for on all the stages. Some impressive work with the blowtorch, especially the first guy doing freehand cuts through 3 cm plate. Extremely skillful work. If I had a real complaint, it would be the lack of cleaning the metal before welding, and the lack of safety.
They do what they must to provide for their family.
It would have been nice to see a bevel cut here or there with some of those critical joints. But you gotta have customers soo don't build it too well. They'll need repairs down the road. Once a customer, always a customer.
I was waiting for the expert welder part.
The plate their using was probably an old freighter yesterday 😁
It was! That’s exactly where they get their steel!
These young boys that are welding without a Welding Shields will be BLIND by the time they get to 50 years old.
Plates should be beveled and cleaned before welding. They'll flex and the welds will break. No welding tracks in wear area to reduce wear on surfaces.
Just my thoughts
@@marcelh85 But then again they are working on less than ideal conditions and all they dig is mostly sand/fine gravel. My hats off to them anyways. All I can do is snot weld.
Did honestly expect them to make a quality product
I’m not really care that much about surface rust or contaminants when using stick welding,But about the plate that need to be beveled? I’m agreed with you,it’ll be whole lot stronger if they beveled it.
Yep does need the bevels, then fill with weld, and just some general grinding/sanding to clear the area being welded from contaminants.
I can't believe that bucket would last five minutes digging anything but mud. They didn't bevel their butt welds, they didn't grind off paint, rust, slag, dirt, etc. before welding, their long welds were more or less a group of spot welds instead of a stabilised, continuous and even weld, etc., etc.. This video should be shown in welding classes as an example of what NOT to do.
Don't be to critical on them, their the reason Richie Brothers auction has something to sell.
let alone the steel they use, mild steel instead of carbon steel for machinery.
All the digging is in sand.
people need cheap ass buckets, too. I bet you can buy like ten of those for the price of a JCB or CAT bucket of the same size. Life of the machine comes into play, too. If its like 8000 hours on it not gonna drop some nice new bucket made of high quality shit.
@@Freecomments4u There are more choices than a dirt cheap piece of crap or a brand new name brand.
Is this an episode of junk yard wars? i think I miss this one.
The perfect shoes for heavy steel work especially for welding and grinding.
Whats the problem.. they're safety slippers to go along with the safety squints
I give them a A for effort for using what they got and utilizing it
WHEN JOINING THICK METALS BY WELDING, THEY CANNOT BE WELDED BY GLUING THEM SIDE BY SIDE.THE JOINT MUST BE THINENED AND FILLED WITH WELDING WHEN GRINDING IS PERFORMED, THE WELD IS THINNER
Nobody teaches them. Its the 3rd world of dirt & blood.
Breathing those welding fumes can not be healthy. It is really cool to see a crew make the bucket from scratch, more or less, though. The dirty metal welds drive me nuts haha
PPE, WTF is that ???
Homeboy in beginning squats better then my 5 month ofl
I'm guessing all the dirt acts as a UV shield.
I too enjoy casual dress-code blacksmithing. What use are toes anyhow?
It is amazing they transition from the hand held welding mask to the, well, 'hand mask'
The repurpose world going strong.
@@aregeebee201I want to know how much hot slag goes between their toes?
OSHA inspector drop clipboard and manual from violation overload. Then proceeds to have a seizer then they start to wield with out any protective gear.
The guy is playing friggin peek a boo with the welding torch.
They build their bridges and infrastructure with the same skill and techniques .Be fun to watch them dig rock with it.
That bucket will never dig rock
What expert welders?
Belle réalisation avec peu de moyens bravo
imagine what these guys could build if they had some nice tools and equipment maybe a real welding hood and some boots.
Not quiet oem but would build a decent sand castle.
got to love how they poising them self's with the paint from the ship steel just to make some other guy rich
Professionals always work Professionally 👍❤
Sir u are awesome welder and a engineer u do amazing work sir nice 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯
I'm counting toes and fingers of everyone as I watch!!
These guys have never heard of safety in their entire career.
They don't even grind off the dirt on the material they just weld not even chamfer the plates before welding. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Bet min.50% of them have smsrtphone snd yt for safety gear education in sll those millikn videos. But they werent interested in some 20 dollar safety shoes or 5 dollar eye protection. They are going to feel it first when something went wrong!
Not my health..not to have to pay for medical survey if...
You guys are like building a Canoe with just only an Ax, where Integrity is not an issue, as long as it floats. Tacking 2 thick steel plates without even beveling the sides for sure weld penetration. I am sure that you guys have hand drills that could bore holes for the bolts of the side plate for better fit, but opted not to use it. You have an Angle Grinder so I am sure you have a Hand Drill.
hand drill thru 3cm steel hello?
@@bernardmauge8613 is that impossible? That is not a 3cm steel plate. Besides if you can't, there is a magnetic drill press saying HELLO! In your face.
Good work fitting the teet retaining pins. What a bodge job 😂😂😂
I commented on the teeth retaining pins to you don't have to pound them in they should go should go with one hit they were probably upside down
The guy with the cutting torch is amazing. The rest of them need to buy a Harbor Freight auto darkening welding helmet with the 20% off coupon, wear wooden clogs to cover the toes and some gloves. They are hard workers. Not in a welfare line looking for a handout.
I wouldn't be surprised if these guys are somewhere in the slums, already assembling a spaceship to Mars.
Just like the africans building helicopters.😂
@@Skidderoperator Is there a video?
@@savir plenty.😆
The amount of Melanomas from welding UVs must be crazy, not to mention the amount of cataracts they get from welding without proper eye protection.
Notice how all the workers are younger guys. I don't think they last long.
Lots of beggars being trained/ injured/ rejected
Geeze, invest in a good pair of boots.
Was anyone watching this expecting that at the very end that the camera goes to the back of their garage to see some guy smoking a cigarette pedaling a bicycle really fast that’s powering all of this equipment????😂
"Expert welders", LMFAO.
Most professional job i have ever seen.
Your joking right?
These are expert welders
@@aregeebee201 of course
Those flesh coloured steel toe caps should sell well in the western world
I really enjoyed this video. IAM Impressed the way you make the cuts definitely would like to see more of these videos. Thank you for sharing.
CSA approved open toes!
Nice job for working in a ditch, although most of it is just glued together as opposed to welded.
For farm trucks sake, buy these guys some eye pro! I can see the rust rings from here. If you lose a toe you can still see and walk, lose an eye you're dinked.
Well I guess if you ever wondered where scrap cruise ship metal went, here is your answer lol
If I leave one sliver of skin uncovered when I'm metalworking I get my ass burned up and these guys work in sandals. Amazing.
Thats a Really Nice Bucket
I do see the work is good work for what they have to work with, expert I don't think so
All the proper PPE and clean and safe environments they all work in. Wonder how many years they've had zero work accidents. Oh wait, this guy right here 7:46 must have burned himself with hot slag through his work boots. But good to see the proper grounding to their welding materials. Don't want any potential deadly shocks or anything.
Maybe the idea is the bucket does not last too long, then needs new on?
These buckets would break if they dug anything other than sand
Gotta give it to these guys for doing that job in pretty much bare feet. I know it won't happen but I hope their scroogey Boss buys them some work boots at least?!
Casi no usan máscaras.
Definitely a JBC bucket being made
Ya gotta love those safety sandals everyone in that "shop" wears!
OSHA would have a field day with guys!! 😅 But these guys are pretty amazing.
itd be their last day inspecting. they would retire the next day from the million dollar bonus for writing tickets
These guys will be very frustrated in my country with all the safety rules…😅😅😅
Pls do watch kurtis of cutting edge engineering , you will see the difference..,😂😂😂😂😂
Oh man I'm not so sure about those welds I don't think they're adequately prepared that's just my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.
the accuracy of the cutting skill
Great work! As a general note, it would be great to see the finished products in actual use.
you mean when the welds crack and the bucket splits apart from no weld prep and no weld discipline?
I totally agree with that. The first scoop of dirt those welds are coming apart.@@bayareaartist999
What a shame live-leak shut down. There would have been plenty of those videos.
This must slagless welding. They just weld right over a pass.😮
It would be interesting to grab these guys and take them to say, Werk-Brau, to show them how they make buckets the proper way... All things considered, for what these dudes have on hand, this shit is pretty impressive.
I’m saying. You ain’t gonna see no fancy factory in these countries. You prolly never gonna see a hard hat or boots either. Fucking love these guys. Seeing them do this shit in sandals gives me life. Fuck OSHA
A guy could make a killing selling steel toed flip flops over there.😂
Im calling it right now, the second that bucket hits any rocks in mud it will explode from the stress
Experts in pajamas. Gravel between the toes.
i got an extra turn buckle ... that one has lived! lol
See how long it will last
They paint it yellow and Cat will charge you $4000 😅
Glad the guy with the big angle grinder had on his protective flip flops!😂
no gloves when welding...ouch....
Just imagine what those guys would do with proper tools and proper environment.
they did it extremly wrong .. Omg 😀This Bucket is gonna be wrecked in one day 😀 ... Welding is horrible.. Materials, what they using is wrong .. Everythink is wrong 😀 But price is low .. so it doesn't matter.
they are jawas from star trek
On average, how many limbs or fingers are lost, per bucket?
The guys not too bad, freehand cutting 1” plate. I’ve seen a whole lot worse.
Grinder and paint makes me the welder I aint.
Các bác thợ khéo tay quá !.
No safety glass
No safety shoes
No safety gloves
With zero extra effort we can hit the Circle Cuts with a hammer instead of hitting it with the cutting torch that cost 500 dollars
Guys I'm watching you guys again. (as always) :-)
Question: Why don't you burn a V on the steel plates? Then the construct would become more stable. Greetings from Germany BaWü Neulussheim Ralf
Better than any excavator bucket I could build...:)...I remember manufacturing way before we had CNC and Robot...These methods are tried and true...Good health to you all.
