- After recently introducing a little red meat into my diet after a few years, I stumbled upon Gordon Ramsay’s ‘perfect steak’ video.
Suffice to say it looked delicious.
This is me attempting that same dish.

Honestly SRP you have continued to impress with every upload, not only are you one of the few asmrtists that ACTUALLY help me get to sleep so quickly, but you have so much love poured into your vids that I'll even end up just watching them the next day when I'm more awake and relaxing instead of falling asleep to them! You have many amazing talents, and clearly cooking, asmr, and optometry are only a few of them haha!
Yeah. I see artists copying and pasting for the views. I’d much rather have a soulful video than something lifted from someone else.

You know I’m a huge fan… but you’re hurting me w this one. Use a cast iron, get pan hotter, cover in butter and garlic, turn only once. Finish with a finish butter of rosemary infused butter during the rest after you pull it off. Trust me that will be mas perfecto.
There’s more than one way to skin a cat and you’ll be even more hurt to know that it was absolutely amazing
I agree with everything but the "turn only once" advice. I turn my steaks once per minute. You get a much better bark with a perfect cook throughout. Especially if you're cooking a steak as thin as the one in this video. The only reason for only turning once would be to maintain grill marks for a competition steak. Frequent turning method is objectively better.

I love your videos, Steven. I especially like your cooking videos. I like to cook after work to help me unwind and de-stress and I also like to unwind by watching any of your videos. I could listen to you reading a Citroen manual or the Maastricht Treaty. I find your voice very soothing and relaxing. Unlike Ramsay, I find it very difficult to imagine you shouting expletives in the kitchen.

im not shure if you covered the tests already, but if you start to go school you make some tests (in germany idk if its everywere the same). I think a recreation of that could bring up some memories for the viewers. Its almost 30 years ago for me. i only remember i had to say what direction an E is or were a hole in cicle is.

i have a tip for you, try adding more butter (like a spoonful) so you can baste the steak. It will result in a better crust forming and the flavors being deeper.
More butter incoming
In the future id recommend patting each side down to get more browning on the surface. Also consider buying a cast iron skillet, much better for heat.

I love these videos ! But as a chef I would use grapeseed oil or avocado oil .. they have a higher smoke point. & neutral flavor
