If you talk to a kid calm these days they will try they best to run over you... My mom talked to us like that and I realized why she did it.. She wanted what was best for us, if she didn't hell the police and everybody else would... I appreciate all of the rough discipline she gave us... Some of these 2000's kids are a different breed, they don't care about nothing.. I know some ppl won't agree but you can't judge if you have never been in that situation.. I lived it first hand I have 5 daughters and I go through it also, just last week my child thought she was grown and I put her back in her place.. Don't no child run me I run the child... Tough love is a must sometimes, first thing first you can't be your child's friend.. That's when they run over you and say what they want to, and what are you going to do???

Financial issues has nothing to do with calling your child out their name, cursing at them like an ish on the street, lower their self-esteem, saying their unwanted.
She can talk to her child about their issues and LOVE AND POUR into her, not deplete her.

The mom is rough around the edges, but I feel her pain. She is struggling, but she is expecting her daughter to handle adult struggles like a mature adult, and the daughter is not capable and shouldn't be penalized for it. The daughter wants to be a child and live the life of one but can't. They can't handle their emotions, and life is continually dumping on them. The mom needs some support, training, and a new start. I'm glad Karamo is proposing to help. The daughter needs a huge boost in self-esteem. She could model or get involved in activities that will propel her forward in a positive way.

This is a spot on comment. The mom is expecting her daughter to have everything figured out and be this perfect teen, when none of us were perfect as a teenager. She wants her to be an adult because she is struggling and trying to provide. She is not giving her daughter grace. She is only 14! What adults need to understand, you're still trying to figure out your life, why do you think a child is going to have it all the way figured out.

This was such a good way to say this! The fact that she said it would be better if she were a boy means (to me) she would have given more grace and have more leeway. She didn’t get help when she did what she did so she thinks her daughter shouldn’t get any. She is a mirror to her mom and her mother hates what she sees. 😢

Your so on point with this comment. My mother used to look at me that same way, blaming me because she couldn’t do what she wanted to, and taking her anger out on me like I asked to be here and deserve to pay for her immature mistakes. She even kicked me out at 17 so MY boyfriend could live with HER(he was already staying with us and I wanted to break up with him) Anyways I never seen her since. I feel for the little girl in this story , our stories are similar except I used to get beat badly for doing basically nothing. I tried to commit suicide at 14 years old 3 different times and one time I was in critical condition, so situations like this need to be taken seriously. Luckily for me I was admitted into a psychiatric hospital and given years of therapy so now I’m better than I ever been and away from the toxicity, but think about the little girls without a therapist, and no love.

#1 Raising children is not for the weak. I didn't like the mom's language in public, BUT I liked that she was transparent and stood on her truth. I heard and felt everything she said. Sometimes emotions get the best of us, and we can't express those feelings, on top of being frustrated with life. I have a son and daughter, and when I had my 3rd child, I prayed for another boy. No, it's not easier, but it is different. Especially once they hit puberty, and a girl start her menstrual. Hormones can be a factor in behavior. I'm sure that was the quietest the daughter has ever been. She tried to make her mom appear delusional. Like I said, I have a 17yr old daughter. She will continuously poke the bear with ignoring me, attitude, sarcastic remarks, eye rolling, not following directions, or completing chores. When the volcano erupts, she's standing back like she didn't do anything...smhlol Ima pray for them and myself 🫶🏼

That Mom is hurting her daughter with her own issues. She said she’s drowning, but your drowning from your own past where you didn’t work hard to pick up the pieces fast enough and now you’re making your daughter drown. Karamo can pay for her debt, but this daughter is not the problem; the mother is. Once that money is gone or spent up in the wrong places - she’ll be back at blaming her daughter. I’ve been SAed, in a deep depression, jobless due to my severe depression, lost my fiancee 4 months before my wedding, I was once an addict to hydros and I’ve been almost 8 yrs sober - I’ve never took my anger out on my son. Have I been tired? Heck ya. But MY SON IS MY PEACE. Everything I do is for him. I never want him to worry about my struggles. He will never know any of them. He won’t know his Dad left me 4 months before our wedding, broke my heart by telling me he never loved me and just felt bad for me, was with a new girlfriend (someone in his phone he told me to never worry about our whole relationship) 2 weeks later, put me into the deepest depression to where I felt when my son was at his Dad’s I needed to abuse pills to numb the loneliness. He won’t know that one of those nights I took pills one of my best guy friends SA/Red me in my sleep. He won’t know this. But here I am almost 8 years sober, with a damn good job, my son gets everything he needs and more. I co parents 50/50 equally, as best friends with his Dad to make it work for him. Put the past in the past immediately with his father so I could have a healthy co-parent relationship with him. My pain doesn’t matter, his happiness does.

As a mother of two men one biological one stepson and I raised my brothers son, so I raised three boys, yet I came from a family of 3 girls and one boy. I’m the oldest, girls and boys are definitely different boys cling to there moms or the female counterpart in the family. Girls in my opinion are raised and not nurtured like boys. My mother made sure we knew to be clean, keep ourselves up, taught us manners etiquette, real shit for the most part. I must say I keep an excellent home due to my mother and the things I learned along the way in life. A lot of times girls can’t be creative, use there imagination because mothers are making sure they are busy and ready for the world. Boys get to frolic, be boys as they used boys will be boys, they’re allowed to be boys. Many parents utilize there children for help, not to teach them responsibilities, and kids know the difference. Kids are human to, because they’re not adults doesn’t mean they don’t feel and have emotions. The mother is not just frustrated with her child she’s frustrated with life and the choices she has made in the past. I can definitely feel her pain

I just want to say right off the bat. Boys are not easier , so she needs to get that out of her brain right now, Mom is supposed to be the adult. No matter what her problems are, you! Don't take them out on your child and then maybe your child wouldn't be acting out this way , And it's not her fault that you picked a man to Mess around with and he decided to not come back. They both need some serious help. 5:41 This little girl's acting out because of her mother's attitude towards her, She needs to put herself in her shoes and think about what her daughter is going through. And the fact that she's ready to give up on her only child at the age of fourteen , She's not cut out to be a mother but she is the one that chose to do grown up things and get pregnant!! Abuse is not the answershe should have spanked her while she was a child and gave her consequences for her actions but not straight up abuse. That's never okay only a Monster would hurt a child or an animal! 6:25 I would have made mom leave this stage while he questioned the daughter because she is being intimidating. And rude on stage in front of everyone to her own child. To any child is Wrong ! 14:17 Clearly they're both struggling , but mom needs to get help and stop taking things out on a child and understand that this is too much for kid if it's too much for her.

Yes, the mom is loud. Yes, the mom shoulda, coulda, woulda made better choices. No, she shouldn’t be talking to her daughter certain ways. Yes, kids internalize that stress as well.
I get it. Mom is out of pocket for saying a boy would’ve been better (not true, by the way), and she probably raised her daughter to be the entitled child she is now, but come on yall. That little girl is taking advantage of the stress her mom is going through and causing more issues.
We’re in a day and age where we want to make sure children are heard, and that’s absolutely fine. I respect that and think it’s important we create spaces where children’s feelings are heard, but that child has to get it together, too.
She didn’t want to go to school because her hair wasn’t done? She couldn’t pull it into a bun and call it a day? I was teased mercilessly from k-12. I know what it’s like to not want to go in because of what kids might say, but not going to school cuz your hair isn’t done is not it. Running around with little boys ain’t it.
