I tried with Voyager first time, did NOT WORK, after with UBUNTU 24.10, same . Now , I'm on MINT , it worked. Thank you very much !!! Did not know the trick for the MOUSE , uninstalling Virtio drivers-works now -! Thank you !

Update: I think my setup is different than from this video. GPU isolation is not working for me. gpu is nvidia gtx 1650 on this laptop. I am not getting kernel is in use for vfio but it reports to be bind when rebooting or shutting down. I could only use the virtual machine once. I have to reboot the whole system for every time i use virt manager. Also, one error i get is unable to change power state from dc3cold to dc0 nvidia gpu. So overall it does work but not without some of the quirkiness needing to figure out. So i am using Mint22 and this kind of works without even knowing the steps but i see that if you do not isolate the gpu, once you are done with virt manager. It causes your nvidia gpu to be in a limbo state causing the system to hang when trying to reboot. It eventually reboot the system after 40 seconds or so. Now i see that there is more to it than just trying to add the gpu into virt manger lol.
Hi Ksk Royal. Everything works smoothly till I run the VM: it starts but on the dedicated Screen (connected with the passed T. GPU) I see a very big image, as it was 300x200 resolution, very difficult to navigate. I've to say my Vm si running MacOsx Sonoma. Anyway the GPU is seen by the VM, as I see the start up image on that screen, but after few seconds of loading, the Vm freezes. Can you help? Could it be a problema relating to the different operating system? But it's so strange..... I see the starting process on VM at the beginning, even if with an absurd resolution
Hello ksk royal. At 2:51 approx where you type the lspci command, it shows only my gpu and not my audio controller. I have tried multiple nvidia drivers but still, it only shows geforce 940mx and there's no audio controller
my gtx 1650 laptop gave me this message when rebooting (it was stuck in linux mint logo) the nvidia probe routine was not called and after it got to the password screen ( after almost a minute) it froze, i went into recovery mode and undid the changes in this video and it works fine, could you tell me how to fix this issue (and have gpu passthrough) please, thanks for the video anyways :)

What if both your GPU are NVIDIA, will this still work or will it fail because you have stopped the NVIDIA drivers from loading.

Upon further inspection I saw that it only uses the Intel controller. Will this cause problems upon creation of my VM??
If it helps, my gpu is listed as "3d controller" not "vga controller" like yours

It's ok if it doesn't show the Nvidia audio controller no worries. Just pass the nvidia GPU only

Make sure you are editing the GRUB config file as a root user.
