I had a 2004 Vectra C with that same engine. Excellent starting in all weathers.

All manufacturers test these engines until -40. Anything above -40 is insane and to be honest, even if the engine starts, other parts might freeze.

Also when it is realy cold is good to have half tank of fuel not to leave it almost empty .

Modern cars all have additives in them, so it doesn't really matter.
