Well this is something I’m definitely gonna have to give a try. Can’t believe they are arriving in February 🤷🏽♂️. I had them down for mid March early April.

Moo, I love halibut fishing videos. Looking forward to the halibut fishing adventure. Man, the water is so nice and calm. What's the water temperature? The warmer the water, the halibut should be more prevalent. Nice sized hali to start the day. GoPro's sometimes overheat and turn off. Woo, nice sized hali's. good fishing, Moo. Sick catch Moo! I've been getting skunked lately cause the water is really cold down here and zero bait around. Dude that bigger fish has a dark tail on the white side of the fish?!?! I've never seen that before. Crazy.
Water temp is warmer than usual here and they are coming in earlier but they are not yet in numbers yet. I've in dark belly too. So weird.

Too bad about the gopro. I can only presume that the kayak cavity could start stinking if it hasn't already due to the fish storage if not rinsed.
BTW, @moo, do you use any pads on the roof crossbars when transporting your kayak? I just got a 2021 Hobie and wanted to know if I should be getting pads for the Yakima jetstream crossbars when moving my yak.
I typically don't use any padding other than the kayak rack I received recently. I personally think it's better to use the paddle. The kayak will slide less and protection to the yak and the bar but you can do without it.

Thanks. Since herring are pretty hardy unlike anchovy I don't really feel the need to brine it unless you want to keep it shiny.

Moo, I don't know why you're using that kayak. Seems like the only advantage is that it stores your gear. Isn't it a pain to paddle and fish at the same time? Then when "fish is on" you have you fumble with the paddle. I'd much rather pedal and have my hands free.

아... 이럼... 두번째 대! 광어 잡는 동영상을 못 찍었군요. 안타깝습니다. 지난 일요일 저는 memory card를 안가지고 갔는데, 다행히 구형 고프로에 작은 용량 card가 있어서 그걸 사용하였었습니다. 물론, 7시간 동안 찍을 일이 없었지만요. ㅎㅎ
이번처럼 gopro가 문제인적은 없었습니다 😢😢

Nice man. I fished out there all day Monday and got skunked. Almost 12 hours on the water.
I dropped a small keeper on Thursday in a spot near that area too. Had it in the boat and it flopped out :/

I ended up going both Wed and Thursday on kayak.
Got skunked thurs.
On wednesday I hooked into a 27-30'' hali but I didn't have a net or gaff and ended up losing it at the boat.
We'll get them next time.
