Buckle up and join us on our journey. Stay tuned until the end because we take the DeLorean Time Machine back to the original location (Puente Hills Mall - City of Industry, CA) where time travel first happened … and make it happen again more than 30 years later.

Thank you for watching, Superfans! It was a thrill to see these locations AND bring a DeLorean back to Lone (Twin) Pine(s) mall. Please check out our other episodes!
Flight of the navigator was a cool movie.
This looks so cool but we're is the clock tower. Save the clock tower
Let's go back to 1985 and become younger again lol
How was there NOT a crowd of people watching the DeLorean drive around that parking lot. I know i'd be watching in awe.
Beyond the Backlot 😎
I played Back to the Future the other night for my kids who are 6 and 3 yrs old and they loved it! The look on their faces when Doc first backed the Delorean out of the van was the same one on mine when I first watched it as a kid. It seriously made me so happy just to watch them watch the movie. There is just something magical about this film, for me at least.
late reply, but my son watched it for the first time recently and he was just smiling throughout. just reminded me of how I felt in the 80s. :)
I am sure kids this age can comprehend a story about time traveling.
Back to the future, probably the best trilogy ever made.
Love. Thanks for watching!
Really nigga??
DUDE ! I shed a tear when the DeLorean pulled up to the parking lot EPIC, man thanks a lot for doing this !
Thank you for watching! The experience was surreal. Glad you enjoyed it.
I used to hang out at Puente Hills Malls back in the early 80's before we moved in 1985. That was so cool to see a familiar place in a movie. My friends said they watched the filming
I just watched a couple of videos uploaded very recently of Puente Hills Mall. Very sad to see it is practically dead, with only a few stores still open. At least you have the good memories of hanging out there when things were good.
I hope to see a major revival of this mall in the future.
This vid is underappreciated.
We think so too ;) Please tell all of your friends. Thank you for watching!
@@BeyondtheBacklot I'll have to make some friends first...
I actually ended up here looking for BTTF assets (from your time lapse specifically) for a video I, myself am making. As one UA-camr to another, quality pays off in the long run. Trends come and good, timeless content never goes out of style :)
Beyond the Backlot great job🎥
@@BeyondtheBacklot II love this so much. I wish I had seen it sooner. :)
I remember them filming at Whittier High School and all the 50’s cars in the parking lot. I had no idea they were filming!
That's awesome! Hope you enjoyed our video. Have a good one!
This trilogy is my all time favorite. Huey Lewis and the News was my favorite band back in time in 1985. (I was a freshman in high school)
YES! Back in Time...Power of Love...ohhh, the soundtrack was just the best!
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
i never get tired of watching these movies, sometimes i wish time travel was real
I graduated at whittier high from 2015-2019
Yes! It was a pleasure visiting your alma mater for BTTF! Cheers!
Did you meet Marty Jr.? 😉
No? Well he was a lobo, ziphead anway.
Hey dude are you filipino?
@@reymarkd.2411 no but my name is phillip and I'm from Reno. Does that count?
Always loved walking past Whittier High on my way to Uptown (although I went to Pioneer High).
As a child of the 80s, these films _are_ my childhood, and seeing something like the Delorean driving up to the same iconic spot of pavement at the Mall...all the feels. I wonder if kids today have something similar? What will make a 10 year old kid today cry happy tears in the year 2055...?
You’ve tapped into the reason for this show. These movies mean so much to us and we believe, because they existed before on demand entertainment, these decades carried a unique influence on our generations.
My niece and nephews were born 2009 and 2012. They absolutely love the BTTF movies. This video will probably make them cry in 2055. lol.
"All the feels"
Cringe
Those times were magical and irrepressible, no trailers no heads up, it was just am awesome experience of an awesome movie
This is astonishing, it’s unreal to see these locations
Thanks for watching!
I went to Whittier High, class of 09 baby!
Beyond the Backlot ☺️
@Bobby K because barely anyone actually gets to see them
I can hardly wait to see you guys visit the DeathValley Star Wars Locations!
Love that idea! Thank you for watching :)
Beyond the Backlot that would be awesome 😎
lol - the dog is like, "Jesus Christ! I don't want to be disintegrated..."
HAHAHA!
They had the Twin Pines Mall sign there in 2015 to celebrate the anniversary of the movie
I’ve always been a big fan of location videos but yours are off the charts! You go above and beyond belief getting an actual Delorean on the parking lot! Wow! Even getting actors on the locations?! What? (i.e. Karate Kid) The production quality as well. Stellar! I’m binging all your vids! Thanks!
Thank you! We love what we do and simply want to share along side all us fans.
That was AMAZING! Keep it going, I'm a fan.
Thank you, sir! We'll keep it coming for fellow Superfans!
I'd like to see the bill and Ted's excellent adventure filming location I love that movie.
Love this idea. Thanks for watching!
Reliving the DeLorean scene at the parking lot in front of the Mall, and at night, must have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You sure are one of the luckiest man in the world and I will envy you for the rest of my life! Keep this videos up, please! Your videos always leave me craving for more...
Thanks for watching!
I lived with my uncle for about a year in West Covina CA in 1984 to 1985. I used to go to the Puente Hills mall all the time. When I saw the movie for the first time I had just moved to Oceanside CA. I saw that scene with Marty skating into the mall the same parking area I used to drive into I said "HEY!" kinda loud then whispered "That's Puente Hills Mall'! My friends looked at me like "Shhhh"!
Haha! So cool. Plenty of locations are in our backyards. Thanks for watching!
That scene where Marty is seen walking through a field to the city was shot in Chino, CA.
Oh yes! A job well done! So jealous right now you must have had so much fun.. great scott!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, Martin! It was a blast... hopefully you enjoyed the end sequence. :)
Yeah fab! Thanks! Please please PLEASE go to Albuquerque AND BREAK BAD!!!! 😝❤️

@@BeyondtheBacklot Φιλότιμο is all yours brother the video is one of the most legendary mini-documentary about the movie.
"They really cleaned this place up looks brand new."
Touchė!
How cool that the exterior was also the interior? Right?!
@@BeyondtheBacklotYeah.
Really good memories from the summer of 85 when we saw BTTF for the 1st time on the Big Screen.... thanks for the BTTF Rewind...!!!... 😀
Epic theatrical experience. Thanks for watching!
This should have a lot more views and likes!! So cool
Thanks for watching! Please tell all your friends 😁.
That side by side first DeLorean test run comparison at the end was awesome
Thanks for watching! It was fun to put together.
Getting help opening the coke bottle was a nice touch. It was nice seeing the inside of the school as well.
How cool is it that the interior and exterior of the school are the same?! That so rarely happens.
Thank you for the video. Love seeing the areas were filmed of one of my favorites.
Thanks for watching!
I just stumbled upon Beyond the Backlot, I’ve watched, Home Alone, Goonies, Karate Kid and now this. Thank you so much for doing this. I am thoroughly enjoying each and every one!
Wow -- great to have you on the journey with us! Thank you for watching our videos! More to come soon. :)

Listen.. I’m getting face to face with all my nostalgic.. childhood heroes!!! It can be contained!
Thank you for making this video!
Thank you for watching!
Whoa! Amazing video again. I was 11 when I saw the first film, it’s like yesterday 😀
Thank you!
Very awesome buddy. It was so good to see those locations again after 35 years. Those 3 films are the best that have ever been made.
Thanks for watching!
Being stationed at Eglin over in the Florida Panhandle, I have always, always wanted to visit these locations. While on an assignment at Point Mugu in 2018, I jumped in my rental car each weekend and finally after nearly watching the films 30 years ago visited the McFly house and the Mall, as well as the drag strip location for the end of part 3 and of course, the "holy ground" where the DeLorean meets its end at the train tracks.
Words cannot put into how I felt to finally be at those locations. People that aren't "Backies" just won't understand - the trilogy is magical and something I absolutely love and adore. We ran into fans at nearly every location, which was so cool as you got an idea for how much these movies mean not just to yourself but to others just like you. For a small moment, when with others that you have not pre-planned these visits with at all and are total strangers - for just a moment - you get to passionately share a mutual love for something together. To see the smiles and the happiness that comes from it in those spontaneous moments is simply amazing.
Oh yeah, and DeLorean VIN #3299 is checking in here too : ). Owned it 17 years this November 11th. Won't deny, always a fun time taking it out and seeing these kinds of reactions without being there in L.A. Maybe one day...
That is awesome! Thanks so much for the comment.
So amazing! Thanks for taking me back to my childhood! All the things you were saying were the same as what I thought as a kid. Even to the point of dreams of going back in time. So cool.
Yes! Glad you could join us on this adventure. More to come for sure. Thanks for watching!
Very cool!!! BTTF shaped my childhood growing up in the 80's as did a lot of films of that time period!!
Yes!! Thanks for watching!
Great job, bro. I love your great attitude, "Totally" being into this movie. I've done the same thing. Marty's house, the Mall, & the Burger King!! I "Totally" loved it!!
Thank you! We “totally” love the feedback. 😁
So many good memories of the film, thank you for these beautiful moments 👍👍👍
Have been geeking out so hard watching this video! Thank you for everything you do, don't stop these are awesome!!!
Thanks for geeking out with us!
Could there be anyone more obsessed with accurate detail than Curtis? Jeeeeeez!! The dog is the wrong color, but except for that, it's perfection.
I did a tour once to the mcflu house location in a delorean... Will be never forgotten and probably one of the most special days of my life
That's awesome! What an experience. Thanks for watching.
Although McFlu house hits a little
Too close to home right now.😂😂
Fantastic video - I can’t even explain how good this feels to watch. Really got me in the feelers!
Thanks for the kind words! Glad it hit you with all the feels.

We appreciate the support! Hope you’re doing well.
Love your videos Bros, found you thru Man+ vs River greetings from Brownsville Texas
Thank you! We appreciate the support!
This is another beautiful video from you guys. What a treat for fans of Back to the Future! You really do your research, but then you are just passionate. You also know how to cover a lot of key highlights in a good amount of time, well summarized. The Whittier High School is interesting, one of the beautiful art deco era architectures, however it's a shame the original hanging hallway ceiling lights were replaced by generic, boring lights. A part of the mystique of both the architecture and the film has been watered-down. But thank you for this gift! This video of yours takes it further by gaining access and providing a key part or prop of a film, in this case, the Back to the Future DeLorean, and at the site of the car's famous run. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for posting. More please !!!! 🙏🙏❤️
Thanks! Check out our channel. More adventures await. :)
You guys nailed the ending freaking awesome! Had to join the Backlot fam.
Excellent!! Thanks for joining!!
Must be nostalgic going to those locations, just thinking about watching some of these classic 80s movies bring me back to the times growing up, can only imagine visiting the actual locations of the film. 👍👍 Must feel like you are actually part of movie!
Sometimes we compare it to going to an art museum and seeing a famous original. 😄
Watching this video brought back memories! Love these videos!

This was an awesome video. I'm planning on visiting the locations pretty soon. You've earned my subscription. Keep up the awesome work!
Keep doing this stuff guys! You have the edge on telling these stories. I was in LA last year. Found the Marty McFly house too. Man, you just stop and stare right? All the memories flood back. Awesome!

Stumbled across this channel via recommendation and so glad I did!! Brought back so many good memories of watching these classics with my dad who isn't with us today.. thank you!!
Thanks for watching! Glad to have you stumble in 😁
You guys always do an epic job with your location scouting. The tree where Marty fell from has a block on the cement/sidewalk with BTTF etched on it. Hopefully you can capture that in a future BTTF location update. Love your content!
Where can we watch the finished version of this show?
Man wow! The best filming locations💪🏻 I.... went back in time!
Great work my friend, and great memories of a classic iconic movie from the fab 1980s.

It really is surreal. One of the best ways to experience our favorite films.
The end was EPIC! Great job guys.
Thanks!!
This is a great video! Subscribed. Love the Mc Fly House! I have visited the gym where they filmed the dance. It seems so much smaller in real life. Also the part where Marty skate boards from Doc's house at the opening of the movie is a Burger King and Toys R Us in Burbank CA off Magnolia!
I think it's great you did this...I don't know you, but I wish I was there with you. You reminded me that life is what you make of it, so have fun and make it a good one.

You used to be a pastor at our church, Canyon Ridge! Love what you're doing! Congrats man!!
Good to hear of fellow Christians enjoying my favourite movie of all time. I'm an Anglican(Church Of Ireland) Christian living in Northern Ireland where alot of other Christians hold the view that ALL secular entertainment is wrong. I'm also a MASSIVE AMERICAN FOOTBALL 🏈/SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS fan and some Christians would have a problem with that as the NFL teams mostly play on Sundays. I'm sorry if this reply has slightly gone off the subject of being a BTTF fan.
Hey guys. Absolutely fantastic video! Just FYI, I'm a BTTF super fan and a few years back I paid $350 for the Universal Studios Hollywood VIP backlot tour. Among other things, we got get out and walk around Courthouse Square so it was worth every penny. Definitely try it out sometime (if you haven't already!) Be well.
