- Young pup has been rushed in after swallowing a sock! Dr Alex must remove it from his system before it’s too late. Although before she can retrieve the item, Pomeranian has been rushed whilst giving birth with a puppy stuck in the birth canal! 😓

I was looking out my kitchen window one day when I saw a stray cat walking on the fence with a new born kitten half hanging out. Quick as a flash we got her in a cat carrier and took her to the vet. $750 and a few hours later we had a mother and her four babies resting in our guest bathroom. That was in 2009 - last year we lost the last kitten from that litter. Tag and her bubbas gave us many years of happiness.
Since 2009?! Wow - It's amazing how long cats can live. I'm so touched to hear how many years of love you had with your cats!
@@MissTXTee My mom and step dad got 2 babies in 2007 one born Feb other born March. They were from different litters but the same breeder. When they both passed away I took them. Unfortunately I lost Smokey May 2023 and Bandit Oct 2023. Yes my step dad named them Smokey (boy) and Bandit (girl) after the movie. Even though they didn't live with me their whole lives I seen them often and they moved in with me when they were about 5 years old. They lived to 16 and I would give anything to have 16 more.
wow, its alot of money but worth it to have save 5 lives including the mother
Shoutout to the vet. When you are entrusted with a life its a huge responsibility knowing your actions can save or lose a life.

I'm so glad the puppies are okay but please spay the mother of the puppies so she doesn't go through that pain again it was a very hard delivery

Mating male was probably too big to be mated to this tiny female. Wish people who know nothing about breeding would leave well alone.
Yes; I’m hoping the vet gave her owners a stern lecture off-camera and made them promise to not let her get pregnant again, or better yet, have her spayed. 7 is too old for a dog to be having puppies anyway. And if there are any life-threatening problems with a birth, no responsible breeder lets a dog have puppies again after that.

My dog did something like this and he had to had surgery (He swallowed my compression sock). He was only two months old, and he’s an English Mastiff ❤️ Hope the dog recovers well ❤️🩹

My goodness how did Alex manage to get those babies out?? Never seen this type of delivery problem in dogs, does this often happen?? Scary stuff! Great job Alex for helping both doggos! Way to go!
It’s because of overbreeding; a lot of those little dogs have problems with births, especially if they’re not being bred by licensed breeders and accidentally get pregnant by a bigger male of a different breed. Some pet owners are really quite clueless and irresponsible.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci I see.. that's definitely heartbreaking that these dogs have to suffer with these problems all because of an owner's ignorance.
@@jasminenino Yes. I hope the nice vet gave those owners a lecture, off-camera, and told them to get their dog spayed!
Did you recommend that they don't breed their dog again?
Honestly it’s much harder when the sac breaks. My dog just had her 3rd litter in April and she broke the sac with the first puppy while he was coming out. I try to avoid letting the sac break until they’re out. This caused him to become stuck. He was coming out feet first and I was going to try to let her push him out but then his feet were turning blue. So I pulled while she pushed. It was not ideal for me but he came out. He’s 6 weeks old now and no different than my other puppies.
All her other puppies came out just fine.
If you notice Lily both puppies that were stuck the sacs were broken. Mama needs to be micromanaged a bit more.
Unfortunately, these types of breed they probably will because they are expensive and so in their pupsare profitable They probably will try to breed her until she can’t breed no more which is a shame because obviously she has difficulty. And unfortunately, the promise of potential profit outweighs the health of the dog unfortunately no matter how much they say they love them.
I sure hope she made those owners promise that! I think if I were a vet I would be very bossy with irresponsible pet owners, not at all nice and sweet like she is.😂
@@vlsice2024It would be extremely cruel of them to force her to go through a difficult birth like that again, especially as she’s 7 which is not that young for a dog. I hope the vet made that clear to them.
I hope the owner of the birthing dog doesn’t breed her again. That is so much trauma for mother and pups
When folks don’t know what they’re dealing with. Male was probably too big for the female.

Mineral oil works great for these things. They poop it out the next day.
AND, as soon as the puppy's are weaned..... get her spayed !!!!!
