    A lot of the Celtic patterns remind me of Sacred Geometry.

    Knotting and interlace was a Germanic style arriving with the Saxons. Notice how they don’t appear on any of the actual historical examples of Celtic art you showed.
    Saxon and Pictish art was lazily labelled as Celtic by victorians, which is from where the confusion stems

      Romans and Armenians also use knotwork. Also seen them in some Asian art.
      They are more universally used than previous thought.
      Though different cultures use them differently and have their own style and adaptions .

      Roman mosaics are the earliest examples of interlace patterns, Saxons blended these patterns along with vine scroll with their animal style patterns.
