    Hey whats up love your videos..
    I took apart my powervalve and it had all this black goop in their and the valves where sticky as hell, so I cleaned it all up and when I re-assembled it, the rod has lateral play in it, like I can move it sideways just a little, but enough that the springs get out of the grooves on the valves. Is this normal? It's a 99 YZ 125

    another good video. no you can take your cylinder off. I was replacing my valve springs today and I polished up the covor for the front and side. it looks very cool on a brand new plated head and cylinder. you should try it!

    Great video, as a new owner of a '98 YZ125 I'm really enjoying your channel. Quick question, I've got a small oil leak, or shouldn't say leak but oil is coming out of this power valve drain, any idea what it could be, or what I need to do to it? or is it normal? Tnx a lot.

    I have a question. I have a 1999 yz 125 and me and my friend rebuilt the bottom and top end we are 15 and do not know everything but we do know quiet a bit about motors we had very little help on the rebuild but on to the question. I bought a new cylinder for the bike and when I went to put the power valves in the cylinder they didn't fit and there are only 3 bolt hole where on the valves there are 4, I was wondering if I could try to either seal the holes so I could ride it without power valve

  • @brynpowers
    @brynpowers 11 років тому

    Exhaust leek and its not slow but the transmission has something wrong with it I'm not sure i haven't been riding it and sorry about the comments I'm on my iPhone and I kept pressing the done button and I'm also going to get the right ones when I find some they are just to expensive for new ones

  • @smilie120

    I may be purchasing a YZ125 soon, could I change the piston / rings without removing the engine? I'd assume so, seems like there's plenty of room, cheers.

  • @brynpowers
    @brynpowers 11 років тому

    Of drimmel the valves down so they could fit either way I really want to ride and have been waiting a long time. And you seem like a well educated and experience mechanic. Please tell me there is a solution because I can't afford new ones and I can't find any used ones on eBay! Also are there any year models that have the same style power valves so I could possibly look for them also?

    I took the cylinder head off and it was super clean the cylinder still has score marks on it. When i looked into the power valve those two little shafts that connect the power valves to the spring were disconnected and different sizes. Is one of them longer then the other and are those disconnect able?

    Apologize for not bring clear on the question. I dropped one of the power valves on the concrete floor in my garage. It hit on the tip of the power valve and deformed the tip of the power valve slightly. So I am wondering if it can still be used.

  • @michaelrudy7487
    @michaelrudy7487 11 років тому

    Dropper power valve on the end that created a deformation on the end that is pointed(figures). I think is could file it to remove the small burr that the drop caused.
    Do you think it would be safe to use? Or is the best thing to get another one?

Tnx.
