This is my favorite reality show to date. They were authentic and real. And so hilarious at times. Nick's sarcasm and Jessica's innocent youth set the stage for this series. So sad that marriage and life's challenges were too much for their union. They were definitely the Lucy and Ricky Ricardo of the new millennium... Could watch this over and over and never get tired of it. It was a masterpiece ❤❤
Jessica was correct. Alaskan huskies are very smart and big and high energy. They cant travel easily on a plane and they need a family who is home a lot and can give them a good busy life. It’s good she was thinking about the dog
I watched this show from the beginning. Looking back and with a much better sense they were doomed. Nick was 25 when they got together, she was 18. He was ready for marriage, kids, responsibilities. She was still so much a child. With that, they both treated each other poorly at times. It’s sad, I had a brother in law who was several years older than his wife at the time. The age gap wasn’t a big deal in the beginning, but after a couple years of marriage it did matter.
As a husky owner, I don’t know if I’d be able to have one if I traveled all the time, regardless if I was a celebrity or not! You’d have to board the dog every time you left town. Plus the hair is endless, not ideal when you have to look flawless for appearances lol
The National anthem Is REALLY hard to sing. I am a pretty good singer and I sang it about 3x in a row and those notes are pretty hard to hit! I encourage everyone to sing it! Especially kids! Some people make a career out of it
True. It’s absolutely insane that we intentionally breed dogs and cats because we want them to look a certain way when so many sweet dogs and kitties are killed at shelters every day.
🛑✋A bit of a long comment,. Heck, I wrote a novel, who am I kidding . I truly apologize for that ,but I promise I have a point that is related to your comment I agree 1000 % about rescues . We have had several rescues over the years. I know saying goodbye to our first one was one of the hardest things that we have ever had to do… Felt amazing knowing we potentially saved them, and gave them a home where they were safe and loved . That first dog was a cute little Pekingese and though tiny , he was fierce lol . We had my son‘s baby swing set up in this one area of the living room and Oreo’s spot was right underneath(black and white fur, so my daughter decided on Oreo ). It was like he was guarding him and it was the sweetest thing . Having said that we have also had a few from a pet store. The first one was great experience with a little chihuahua we named Bella (I was obsessed with Twilight, what can I say lol). Well it was great until it was time to say goodbye of course . But second experience from pet shop was between 5-10 years ago, where my daughter found one she liked . The plan was to train it as a service dog for her anxiety and other issues. He was a two month old golden retriever., who we named Charlie(yes the dad in Twilight lol . But it also fit ) . Within the first day we noticed Charlie seemed to appear as what we thought was lazy . So , along with my daughter , we took Charlie to Petco with us to buy all the necessities and when we did, he wasn’t walking a lot , so that was a little strange . Like I said, he was a 2 month old pup, you’d think there would be lots of energy. At first, I thought it might’ve been because he missed the other puppies he was with at the pet store, like separation anxiety . It was in a day or two we started to notice other things, and it was one of those gut feelings that something felt wrong . So my daughter decided it was time to take him to the vet. Took him to the regular vet , during which time that we were sent to the emergency vet due to severity of situation. He couldn’t breathe well without being connected to oxygen and was eventually put under a machine that was almost like an oxygen tent. . . By the eighth day from the purchase, the dog was no longer with us.. He had to be put down due to how sick she was.. and we came to find that pet place. We unfortunately did not research before purchase. My daughter was in such a hurry and when she saw this dog, she fell in love. Everything happened. We did the research and found out the pet shop was connected to puppy mills and was knowingly selling dogs that were sick. I know it’s only eight days, but the attachment we felt was instant. . Saying goodbye was extremely hard. I know that that can happen with a rescue dog as well but the chances are far greater when it’s from a pet store I’m sad to say . When I went home and researched that place later on found out all the horror stories from other customers, I was blown away . I was both hurt and furious. And I wrote my own scathing review , for which they didn’t like . and frankly I didn’t care. They refunded the price of the dog, but not the price of all the veterinary care which was extremely expensive(and were not wealthy by any means ) But it’s not about the money in the long run . It was a life lost and the fact that it was a companion for my daughter and to aid in her issues, did not help those issues. My daughter is an adult as an adult that was heartbreaking for her to sit there and hold onto his little paw while he drifted off …Sorry to go on and on about what happened to our family and our dogs, but it just goes along with what you mentioned about rescues. It would really be saving a life. We actually have a dog right now who was a rescue, but I am sad to say that as she is really advancing in age and has a number of health problems it will soon be time to be say goodbye. We’re actually surprised she’s hung on as long as she has(her name is Bandit, not after any character. ). I’m definitely not looking forward to another goodbye. I got married around the same age, my husband and I are close in age though, it’s definitely a learning experience but he had much more life experience in general
The sad thing about this show, is that Jessica is in her 20's with limited life skills. Her parents literally did so much for her, that she didn't learn much from the basics for herSelf. I don't have anything against her career, because I make plenty of my own money, I just think it's sad that things like cooking very basic stuff she needs so much guidance & help with. Her parents didn't prep her well to take care of herSelf, or even be able to do basic things for a husband. But I would hope she's learned some things since then from this experience with Nick.

Y’all are looking at this in today’s context, back then she wasn’t bringing in the money she is today. This show made her more famous than her music ever did, at this time he was more famous and successful than she was.
Did he not know what he was getting into when he married her, though? He's like, 7 or 8 years older than her, which is a HUGE difference when you're in your early 20s. Dude wanted her to fawn over him endlessly like she did in the beginning of their relationship (when she was a literal teenager, btw), and started resenting her when she became more successful than him. Jessica looked more mature but in reality she was still their parents little girl who just came out of their home . The age gap was just too big with all the responsibilities that come with marriage

I remember watching that show when it first aired in the early 2000s and I thought she was insufferable…..she was basically a four year old in the body of a woman, no common sense, whiny, no self reliance whatsoever, and she loved putting down Nick when she had the chance, always alluding to the fact that she had a bigger career than his. Not sure why some people say Nick was the bad guy, they surely didn’t take the time to watch the episodes to be saying that cause she definitely wasn’t treating him that good.
I don't understand Jessica did nothing but complain about Nicks Husky's yet she doesn't think it's right when he said a few things about the small dogs she wanted.... both should have gotten the dogs they wanted. each be in charge of there own dog
That’s not how a marriage works tho. If they were siblings that could work. They had to agree on the who they were adding to their marriage. And Jessica was right, Huskies are high maintenance. Nick never tells why he had to give his childhood husky away. Might’ve been too much for his family. Huskies can chew through a couch if left alone long enough.
I didnt see anyone checking their bags, their bodies their clothes after being in that car with that roach. Where there is 1 there 's 50 million of them. Gross.🥺
I am way to independent to have a man in my space like Nick. A respectful man is much more appealing. A genuine guy...someone who thinks of others. He is just to young.
It was just stress. When you have such a big event you want everything to go right and when anything goes wrong at the height of your stress, you just snap. Later when calm and out of the situation you have a more clear perspective of how ridiculously stressed you were for no reason.
Jessica was so cute and sweet back then. If only she could have had more healthy people in her life encouraging her to be more healthy and not over sexualizing her. She would have had an amazing voice and been very talented if they didn't need to sexualize her voice the way they did. It makes her sound so fake and inauthentic. Otherwise she has some lungs!
Lol. She was reaching in that drawer blindly like she wanted to get cut with something and THEN Lmao Nick looks away so fast on the phone like, Girl if you even cut yourself i will not care. Damn. All for the love of trying to get out of making pancakes.....WOW! Lmao. Smdh.
She always has to have her way and emasculate him. Why would he want a tiny dog to put in a purse. She is just a pain in the ass no wonder he went out and started leaving her constant maintenance …..
I love her but my goodness, girl couldn't cook. Too bad Nick was so tight with money cause they needed to either get her some basic cooking lessons (girl, heat was too high for the pan to make pancakes. Low heat and wait til it bubbles to flip) OR hire a cook. Hahahaha, I give her an A for effort, though! That girl was trying! :)
I think she could definitely 100% do everything on her own, but possibly liked playing that dumb little girl roll? When in all actuality shes a VERY smart and strong woman :)

It's sad to know that all these dogs are dead 😢
How in the world Nick didn't notice that big green mold on that bread while he was making the sandwich? Lol
The national anthem is pretty hard to sing. I have tried it! She is pretty good. It doesn’t show whole song
Loved this show!!!
She missed putting butter on the pan first before putting the pancake mix….won’t stick and you will get that crisp outer crust
Her dad is creepy af
His husky was mixed with a collie mix so HIS husky didn’t get that big but they do.
16:17 I thought that was Justin Jeffre for a second😂😂😂😂
These 2 were so toxic for each other.
Both young and the cameras/tv show didn't help. I liked them together but the relationship was doomed as soon as this reality show started
She was crying because she had to do her own hair.
I cried from laughing about it lol
It was just stress. When you have such a big event you want everything to go right and when anything goes wrong at the height of your stress, you just snap. Later when calm and out of the situation you have a more clear perspective of how ridiculously stressed you were for no reason.
sad she didn’t know how to do nothing for herself who married a person like tht
She had some nice damn clothes. I would put this show on mute and just look at what she was wearing
Why do they bleep out Ken Paves name?
I heard her say it a few times In earlier episodes
Probably because he didn't show up, They didn't want the audience to think that he was unproffesional or something like that.
Everytime she cook she makes it like such a stuggle, even though she said she took a cooking class before they got married.
Lord have mercy that wig was bad
omg for real
I thought it was great😒
Yea not sure why they thought that was ok
@@tkraft82 this was the early 2000s wig culture was growing
@@tkraft82 well she was pressed for time
I’m sorry but where the heck is her mom!!! She needs to teach her simple kitchen cooking geez 🙄
No oil or butter in the pan??? seriously 😮
Lol. She was reaching in that drawer blindly like she wanted to get cut with something and THEN Lmao Nick looks away so fast on the phone like, Girl if you even cut yourself i will not care. Damn. All for the love of trying to get out of making pancakes.....WOW! Lmao. Smdh.
Wow. Rewatching this I'm realizing how very uneducated these 2 were. 😂
No wonder I watched religiously. I was in awe of their ignorance lol
She always has to have her way and emasculate him. Why would he want a tiny dog to put in a purse. She is just a pain in the ass no wonder he went out and started leaving her constant maintenance …..
it's not possible to 'emasculate' somebody. they're either secure in their masculinity or they're not
It’s funny how iconic this was back in the day, and how much it hurts my brain to watch now 😂
Why is everyone going in in her in the comments? This was editing. And: he sd huskies dont get big. Smh
Nick is cracking up!!! Do your own hair, how hard is it????
Neither one of them had the time and energy huskys need. And why can't they each get their own dog
Does Nick have a black eye in this episode ?
How do a couple airheads have so much money?
Crying over her hair stylist being stuck in Vegas.
This is possibly her worst episode! 🥴
Terrible singing. That national anthem was so extra.
She’s like a giant child. And I’d rather have a turd as a pet than a Maltese lol
that sandwich looked good, too bad lol
That poor dog ended up getting eaten by a coyote 😢
Nick was so hot.
Never ever thought that.
All eyes on beautiful Jessica!
And so damn manly. Super handy, sexy, loved sports, fit af, great at talking to people, knew how to take charge. He was SEXY af!
Adopt DON'T SHOP!!!!
my favorite episod
Goodbye my ear holes
Jessica was so young compared to Nick
I low-key want to see a "Newly Divorced" show with all those celeb couples talking sh about one another lol
Ask yourself why that is. Or seek counsel.
I think she could definitely 100% do everything on her own, but possibly liked playing that dumb little girl roll? When in all actuality shes a VERY smart and strong woman :)
She was very immature. I got annoyed with her by watching her on their show😂
hes literally sabotaging her career
Agree with nick.
Beautiful but sooo slow lol. I like her tho. Nick had to be frustrated, stupid is hard to be around after a while!
I felt so sorry for him..he was extremely patient.
I feel like she did not eat
My arms were so fat I was trying to do pilates
Toxics scorpio and cancer lmao
What a train wreck
The dog guy was weird AF
So they got no dog?
I would marry Nick in a heartbeat honestly 🤷♂️😊☝️ He’s such a gentleman, this show did him dirty for! Lol
He did that himself
Read Jessica’s memoir, then come back with a new statement 😅
He was a jerk. He was jealous of her success.
@@wannacashmeoutsideI want to also read his memoir. Two sides to every story, and then there's the truth.
@@user-oh5uq8kg1lAgree 1000%
He was such a man. A sexy, handy, intelligent, good with people MAN.
He wasn’t perfect and Jessica was a literal child.
😅😂😂😂😂@0:23!
