I hope your all chopping and eating your broccoli. Dude, thank you for graciously welcoming me to your lovely new home! Those wooden floors are so beautiful and shinny. WOW, the outdated fixtures take me back to the 80's easily, right down to the baseboard heating thermostat knob, oh my heart, the feels! That finished basement is lovely, acoustics under control, perfect for Mikes control center! The more and more I see the home, the more I am loving it. ❤That looks like a secret door in the basement next to the meral, seems odd out of place don't you think?
Loved the throwback about the broccoli 😊 I remember being in my parents old 1971 Trailblazer that I had parked permanently in the Shenandoah Mountains and seeing that clip for the first time. Laughed til I cried. Thanks for the smile. Congrats on the move. Just went through a move last Thanksgiving. Fun and not so fun.
Mike the new front yard is perfect for another flag pole. The new house is beautiful. Deer season needs to come at the old house:) the trees in the front were pretty colors but the leaves are a pain. The Kohler generator is an excellent bonus. The place is so big. Great video:) brenda & tim
What an amazing home! It is beautiful. The land gives you so many options. I love the original interior touches (newer homes don't have the quality that your house has ...). Those floors are in really great speed. Also like the gravel area (great for parking an RV someday :). I am excited for you both! I am sure you will love living in the country.
Wow!!! Love the new house! Looks great! You have a lot of room for the new truck and RV! We closed in February, 2024 and still working on it. It's going to take a few years. Back in Jersey for a little while.
Those two extra filters, that feed the outside faucet, is probably to fill a water tank in an RV or boat. The cedar closet, you can bring the cedar smell back if you lightly sand the wood.
The new home is amazing! ♥️ Love the floors, they’re so shiny. Don’tcha hate the mess moving makes?! 🤣🤣 I think we still have boxes in the basement from when we moved here 17 years ago, that have never been unpacked 😮
I agree with your water assessment - I just replaced our water softener (we are on well water). We also have an acid neutralizer (MD well water is acidic). There is a very reputable company that sells the equipment and ships it free (look up Aqua Science) - my whole system was $2500 (64K water softener with digital controller, 2.5 CuFt Acid Neutralizer, huge whole house filter) - I installed it myself - learned how to do Pex plumbing ... took 1 day. Adding the reverse osmosis system in your utility room makes sense. Also, for your hot water heater, you can add a water heater booster kit (basically a tempering valve) that will allow you to set the Water Heater temperature higher (150 degrees) and mix cold water - setting it to 120 degrees will allow your existing HWH to have a much greater capacity.. Cash-Acme makes them and sells them on Amazon ... installs between hot and cold lines on your Hot Water heater.
I love your new home! It's so much work to get moved. I love the tile in bathrooms! You will get there and figure out all of the crap people put in where it shouldn't be . But , there is so much space! Our aptment is so small but I am getting things moved around and making it functional.🎉
Heidi, if you are so inclined you can paint your bath tiles.. ( special Paint) The home and property are Just Lovely…..Crazy Deer!!! Too fun. P.S., to have your upstairs ceiling look taller, consider putting your curtain rods and curtains up to the ceiling. A designer look.
My parents' old house had that style of thermostat for the living room baseboard heat, but we replaced it with a gas furnace and Honeywell digital thermostat at the beginning of the new millennium. The wiring was generally a rat's nest of amuature work, so we had most of it replaced along with the service.
If you do a light sanding on the cedar it should come back. Lots of potential and not a lot of work for now. You can get copies of the plans made at Kinko's usually. I have had them duplicate older blueprints for me. I think the fridge in the basement is good for extra drinks etc., especially with your office there. Could the lower cabinet be used in your shop for the stuff in the garage? Maybe the small room be used for a fruit cellar. Maybe box around the drains by the reverse osmois area (like your cabinet you mentioned. You maybe need the door onto the basement to control the heating and cooling better. I think you got a great property and happy for you both.
Congrats on your new home I love it. Your security cameras has good video. I would like to get htose for my home Please send me the information on them and do a review video
It's kind of weird how both of your recently purchased houses still have old plywood cabinets that have not been painted over or refaced, like nearly all the houses in my area that have been listed for sale when most younger people want to keep up with the Joneses on social media.
@Rvdaydream Yes, 20% has been standard for a while. Our military budget is way smaller, so our government only really provides health, disability, and employment support for veterans.
We cut the cord back in 2006.. Last year we tried Brightspeed for it's fiber internet and we're impressed.. Love uploading an hour long 4k video in 10 or so minutes... Spectrum DSL our here cost same as Brightspeed but Spectrum upload speed is 30mb.. I'll stick with my cell data service from EZCOM llc
You cover this territory? It's 40 miles one way drive out here.. Bazetta Township requires some sort of Maintenance plan to be in place for pumping and repairs.. The previous owner was required to have system pumped and $400 worth of repairs before the sale was approved(last month)..

We absolutely love your new home, so much character and heart went into building this home! Love the front door too!

I have hot water baseboard heat. And I love it. Temperature stays constant
I really liked when you called the ceiling the roof 😂😂😂. Awesome house, looks really nice. Hope you enjoy it!
Congratulations on the new house. I can understand why you're moving. Hope you enjoy it. You guys deserve it.

Nice get! I already found it with my sleuthing skills! 🙌🏼
Nice!!
We do that too.. Mainly on the overgrown lawn mowing videos.. Sometimes on the car crash videos too... 👍
A light sanding to the cedar closets will make it smell like new cedar. Love your new place!,

Both you and the neighbors still have the tv antenna stands. My late parents and I took down the one at my old house about 20 years ago.
Congratulations 🎊 Mike and Heidi on your new second Home 🏡. Looking forward to all the new updat details.
Congratulations darling home!!
Gas is so much better than oil! We have natural gas here and they work.😊
That plugs for big window AC. My grandparents had one in there house many years ago. I added one to house I owned years ago for window AC.
Diakin is Japan's largest HVAC company, and I believe, currently the world's largest after buying Goodman and Amana.
Very nice, enjoy.
Got rid of the upstairs bedrooms. Good move for getting old man ready.
Yup.. Already love and the fact that when we're dead tired at the end of the day we don't have to climb up steps to make it to our bed..

Congrats on the new home!!! It is really nice, you guys picked a good one. Now just a new RV and truck, lol.
Thanks! Lol 😂
That dimmer was probably intended for the ceiling fan motor.
It’s nice I like it then the other house
With the phosphates in most detergents, most water resources/environmental agencies want to have laundry water going through septic systems.

❤ nice!
cedar may need light sanding?
Carrier and its many offshoot brands are a bit notorious for 90+ heat exchangers rusting out.

Mike, I dont think they will ship to the UK lol....anyway....Good luck with your new house.

The 220 amp in living room is probably for an air conditioner.
It's weird how you can get a no money down mortgage when our Canadian government requires 5% for the first $500 000, then 10% for anything else.
Most US home loans figure 20% down for approval.. One of the benefits of being a Veteran and utilizing a VA home loan with no $$ down..
@Rvdaydream Yes, 20% has been standard for a while.
Our military budget is way smaller, so our government only really provides health, disability, and employment support for veterans.
You better walk in and antenna for the country and things are coming back amen and my grandma’s house which is built in the same era.
We cut the cord back in 2006..

New residents have mived. Charge them rent.

Dont forget to call Whipkey Septic Pumping llc. to have the Septic Pumped. Jet Areation

Unfortunately, I do not service Trumbul County. Yes, you'll need a service contract and pumped every few years. Congratulations on the new place!
Congratulations on your new house !
