Persumbably due to the longer clue sketches. In the last three seasons, the gumshoe interviews were eliminated to accommodate the long clue sketches and every episode will have a GILO.
@@jonacme Now that you mention it, that makes sense. (The announcer told us about all the gumshoes as a time saver.) By the way, there were also some episodes from season two with the same longer clue sketches, but the GILO segment, instead of being eliminated altogether, was just shortened by The Chief opening the smaller door on her office door saying, "Greg, there's no time to lose. Just tell the gumshoes that whichever one catches Carmen Sandiego will get a free trip to anywhere in North America." Everyone would cheer. Chief: "Now I've just received a phone tap from Acme Bug Net. It contains important clues, so gumshoes, you should watch and listen carefully." Phone tap starts, and so forth. However, in the S2 episodes like this one, I wonder when the gumshoes are actually informed about the deal for catching Carmen.🤷♂
It's interesting how in the Dylan Thomas question during the lightning round, one of the other choices is Bob Dylan. Ever see the movie "Dangerous Minds"? There's a slight confusion between the two of them there as well.
For the sheep clue on NSW, it boasts approx. ¼ of the world's wool production, estimating approx. 340,000 T of the stuff, which is worth up to approx. $3B annually.
Actually, they also had one in "Trouble on Tanganyika". Though that one was a bit... odd. WotS segments have certainly been in short supply this season, though!
