    David, i think this is a very good way of teaching. It’s not just we are covering 10 questions, but you explain the steps deeply. Hence two benefits at a time:
    1. Quality questions
    2. Overall revision

      Yes I agree! Funny you mention it, as there have been studies that show practice exams (and having to recall something) gives the highest chance of truly embedded learning.

    Can't believe I got Q73 correct. Using the mindset of 'what will you do next'. Approaching the senior management seemed correct to me. Option B would come after D.

      Bcz sometimes we have a mindset that try to resolve your things without going to senior management this is a common mindset, but here if we think our own organizational structure for anything higher value the chairman is required to approve even if the procurement is not a single source so that mindset is important and moreover it’s all about understanding the question well… My major issues is focusing quality time on question but once with David yes now focusing on question deeply and going thru all the options

    Qu 76: When a problem is registered in an issue log, the owner of the issue should have been identified. The project manager has possibly checked the lessons learnt register before registering the problem as an issue. He/She did not find the solution and raised it as an issue.

    Ummm- Kind of confused on 74. If we already have a mandate on workers being onsite, why do we need to do an alternative analysis of off site workers?

      I think the next question (75) is a good reason why 🙂

      @@davidmclachlanproject I did review question 75 however, regarding question 74, the question already states that PMO mandates works being onsite and the Resource Management Plan is about "HOW" we will manage resources. Isn't PMO mandating us using onsite works basically defining "HOW" we will use the resources and the reason why we need to update the Resource Management Plan? Plan Resource Management comes before Estimate Activity Resources on the order of processes.

    if conduct procurements is in action and seller has been selected then next work will have to be to frame a contract , without framing a contract what will the Sr mgmt approve? Awarding the contract will always come after contract has been framed.

    • @pdvpandi
      @pdvpandi Рік тому +1

      drafting contact is not Project manager primary job it is procurement manager job he could be the senior manager.

      To add when the contract is high level PM can’t go and take decisions even if the procurement is not single source..

    • @felixc2867
      @felixc2867 Рік тому +1

      I think the key is the final words saying 'proceed with the implementation'. Cant proceed unless you have approval so D is the answer. If 'proceed with the implementation' werent there B is accurate for the PM to have a contract drafted (not them actually doing it).

    I think question 73 does not have a correct answer. The question states that the project is complex and high-value, but it does not say anything about the complexity, risk or value of the procurement. Not every procurement in a complex, high-value project is complex or has a high value. The RFQ could just be about cheap socket covers to be delivered at a fixed price, the cheapest bidder wins, which would probably not require senior management approval.

    • @nafidpk1
      @nafidpk1 Рік тому

      High value is clear enough at times that it’s beyond PM s control. Honestly I’m discussing the Middle East concept, here when the slab of contract value passed certain million the higher management involvement comes before drafting the contracts
