poisonmoon123 No, evil would be something akin to going on a murder spree. Wanting to raise your child and be there for her is completely justified in my opinion. Some could argue that it's pure evil to sacrfice your kid's childhood just so she can save a kingdom she didn't know existed is evil
that selfishness and that attitude is what separates heroes from non-heroes, everyone can be a parent, not everyone can be a hero who does what is right, instead of what is easy and convenient
I'll never know why Emma forgave snow and charming for sacrificing her not once but twice. I know the reasoning was it was "for the greater good" but the fact that they value everyone else's happiness over their own daughters is sickening.
Their "heroes" I get that but still. Their daughter grew up feeling unloved and unwanted and who tf knows what else since she was in the horrors of the foster system. And yeah it might have turned out great in the end, yeah Henry and all the rest might be happy and alive but it doesn't change the fact that they treated Emma like a sacrificial lamb to the slaughter.
I 100% agree with you. Not to mention that for three seasons all of them were on Emma's case for not wanting to stay in storybrooke and because she had her walls up. Its like you sacrificed this girl'd happiness twice. And honestly I would have never forgiven Pinoccho or his father
To be fair they couldn’t have known Emma would be bouncing around Foster Homes. She seemed okay and felt that they would be reunited when the time came. There are so many what if’s if they brought her there with them
@@annaleepena2790and to be fair they gave her up twice fucking her over just so everyone else is happy instead of making sure she's healthy happy and loved isn't okay
"But if they had brought Young Emma to Storybrooke, how would the curse have been broken?" Emma's love for Henry broke the original curse, couldn't David's love for Emma have broken it too? He loved her so much, so truly, that he would put her above all else and save her from her childhood. I think that's pretty curse-break-worthy. She still would have been the Savior too, in a way.
An upbringing like Emma's in the beginning of the show changes you. She may have become strong raised with her parents but how she ended up growing up made her a strong that cannot be replicated and frankly should not be. It's a dark painful strong and it leaves a kid scared and changed for life.
@@soixsantes Yes at a cost no one should pay just to survive. Surviving is not living. Forced to do it long enough and you waste your life. What use is surviving just to suffer?
Many of these comments are saying how this was a good move or a sacrifice, but it wasn’t. They shouldn’t have abandoned Emma, they should have went through the door. The Charmings could have raised Emma and helped her find Storybrooke and break the curse. They choose being heroes, rulers, others over their child. A child who needed them and didn’t ask or have any knowledge of the destiny that has been thrown at and forced on them. Yes, the people of Storybrooke would have still been cursed, but they would still be frozen in time, meaning they will live long enough for Emma to grow up and break the curse and they would be reunited with their loved ones. Emma’s fate was woven into the curse, she was always been to break it, if raised by snowing a lot of things would have changed, but the curse would have still been broken just with Emma being raised with love.
Exactly. They abandoned her to an abusive childhood just so she could clean up their mess. People screaming Henry, when the charming didn't even bring up him as a reason to not save her from all that. Just "save the town". They don't deserve her. That decision is pure selfishness. They didn't even try and think of a way around not abandoning her. Just "oh well she'll be fine. We need her to save everyone. "
This is too heartbreaking. Snow and charming had a chance, a fricken chance to give Emma a happy life, a loving family, to explain everything, to fix everything before it would’ve been so broken it would’ve been easier for Emma to have ran away instead and she was tempted to so many times in the show. Finally, Emma wouldn’t have felt so alone in the world anymore. This scene made me cry. These two are not just parents but Royals, they had to choose between themselves and their happiness or the future of their people. Leaders make sacrifices for their people.
My heart broke at this scene. They wanted to go through that door and reunite with Emma so much, but knew they couldn’t for it wasn’t time yet. They needed to wait until she broke the curse, meaning they also had to go back to sleep and forget everything again. It was the right thing to do, but I do wish they went through the door so they could be parents and Emma could have the family she’s always dreamed of😢
They always had to make the hardest decisions. This scene makes me sad everytime they're always thinking of others before themselves even when they deserved nothing but happiness
Great representation of how you wouldn't have become you if you didn't go through the hardships. Who's to say she would've been happier with them? I absolutely loved this series, hope the do another one now that all the kingdoms are combined.
A little bit longer?? They could've just taken her back with them... Maybe sent a sign that her parents were waiting for her and she was going to find them... this show was about hope and they should've given that to Emma...
No, they couldn't have. Literally every time travel story that has ever existed, INCLUDING all the others that have been in OUAT, explains exactly why they couldn't have done that. How stupid can you be?
@@LordofFullmetal also, since Emma's destiny was to become the savior, she still would've freed storybrooke at the age of 28. It would've possible affected other things though.
1:34 “Snow white is a hero, who wouldn’t let anyone suffer just to get what she wants”. yeah but she made Emma suffer :( by not going through that door. 😔
It’s pretty clear that David was more of a parent to her than snow. He cared about his daughters happiness more than snow did, and throughout the seasons snow was more of a friend than a mother. It’s not her fault, but still.
Psycho Edits i always felt like David was more of a father and Snow treated Emma more like a friend too. I think it’s because Snow couldn’t deal with the fact that Emma didn’t need a mom in the way Snow wanted.
Snow did the right thing. If they went through Emma wouldn't be the strong and smart savior she became, she would've never had Henry, never would've saved the town, saved Regina...etc. It sucks but it was the right decision. Her destiny was bigger than being JUST Snow and Charmings daughter.
@@miraculousedits2529 mothers raise, fathers protect. Snow lost his chance yet david still has it. But snow took the hard way and i get it. Thousands of people who u know and care would be miserable because u couldnt wait just a bit longer, sure they lost emma but they got back, henry, regina, baby neal etc.
This is nearly the exact same situation Fiona/ the Dark Fairy was in, when she wanted to protect her son/ Rumple by cursing every other child, just to keep him from diing when he fullfils his destiny. She chose to put her own happiness over everyone elses including her sons and with that created the one thing that was going to destroy everything. She became the dark fairy. So in a way it's really nice to see them in a similar situation and not making the same mistake.
Mhm, you can never have both happiness and both power. As example take rumple and Baelfire. He had to go through centuries to have both, and yet still lose his son.
Moments like this make me remember how many lives has Regina destroyed. And they still forgave her, and not just her, but the Evil Queen as well. With all due respect, I don't think she deserved it, no matter the reasons and her likeability. Losing the opportunity to raise your child is above all morals. Poor David.
Regina and the evil queen are one in the same it's a fact she doesn't deserve it she's a monster the fact everyone forgives her is the most disgusting and horrible thing I have ever seen
Did anyone ever feel like snow isn’t a very loving mother, like I understand that they couldn’t go through but look at the difference in reactions between snow and charming of seeing her. Charming is totally in love with just seeing his daughter snow is just like “oh yeah look at that” just like WHAT?!
They could have separated: one stays with the town, the other with the girl and try to help from both sides. What happened to 'I Will allways find you"?
What about Emma’s happiness? She had such a hard childhood and they have this opportunity to give her a wonderful, love filled life! How could they let this pass by? 😭 The only justification I can find is that Henry would never be born, and the townspeople would be stuck.... but WHAT ABOUT EMMA!?💔
Because magic has a price and changing the whole timeline could make things worse than they actually were it's a big step to unknown. David wouldn't leave her there, but Snow's thoughts were always about greater good. Emma found her happiness, a lot of good things in her life would not happen, especially her children, if they would just changed everything.
I Know a lot because I watch many tv shows and I´m speaking not about storyline, plot or even cgi. I´m telling that the best argument (if you know what it means) is Ouat´s. The idea and the concept of the show is terrific you dont find something like that in any other tv show. GOT won many awards but talking about concept, it´s just another Lord Of The Rings...
Luís Dias I agree that OUAT's concept is much more unique than GOT but the writing in OUAT went down hill after season 3A and is just now starting to get its mojo back in s7. GOT has kind of kept consistency in good writing. Of course because its fairly shorter in length per season than OUAT, its delivery is gonna be better because you don't have as much filler eps as OUAT does. So its really hard to compare the two.
Once Upon a Time is unique but it should have had shorter seasons in my opinion. They stretch the storyline too much to make it upto 22-23 episodes. If they kept it concise, this show would have been something else. GOT was the best show I have ever seen till season 4. The actors and the writing is phenomenal. But the writing just went downhill from S5. 🙁 Having said that, I still would say GOT has an edge over OUAT. The CGI and budget of GOT is way better than OUAT and let's face it the acting on GOT is way better than on OUAT (with the exception of Lana Parilla as Regina. She is awesome).
Charming was more sad that they never got the chance to see Emma grow up because Emmas destiny was too become the savior snow was right if they went through the door it would have changed Emma's destiny to be the savior .
Snow believed in giving her daughter her BEST chance. Not only as a child, under a curse, but to become the greatest hero ever! Snow’s compassion but morality is her Achilles heel, she believes in the RIGHT, AND BEST CHOICE. Her daughter found some much more, by becoming the Savior than being just Emma.
I like alternate stories cuz you know the story could be where they did go through or one of them went through. Are there could be a storyline where Regina decided to adopt a child after she met that little boy is sad. She ends up adopting Emma. That's the funny thing about alternate realities it has so many different choices in life that could make even fun stories.
I dont understand why Snow or David couldn't have gone through the door in this scene and raised Emma as a single parent until she turned 28 and came to Storybrooke to break the curse. In the very first episode of season 1, the plan all along was for Snow to go through the wardrobe and raise Emma alone. How would one or both of them going through the door here prevent the curse from ever being broken?
Everyone hates snow but i would agree, put everyone to eternal sadness or wait abit longer and then emma will love with fairytales and the love of her life. Also emma did have a rough childhood but it shaped her personality and she just wouldnt be the same without it. And she wouldnt have henry. So decide what you would do in that situation
It has been said that: A hero will save the world even if it means sacrificing the one they love. A villain will sacrifice the world in order to save the one they love. I cannot say which one is right or wrong, all I know is if it were up to me, I'd end up a villain.

poisonmoon123
Pure evil is a little extreme. It would be selfish of them as rulers, yes, but not pure evil, not even evil I think
poisonmoon123
No, evil would be something akin to going on a murder spree. Wanting to raise your child and be there for her is completely justified in my opinion. Some could argue that it's pure evil to sacrfice your kid's childhood just so she can save a kingdom she didn't know existed is evil
well maybe that's your choice, but it's not how shows about good and evil work. unfortunately.
that selfishness and that attitude is what separates heroes from non-heroes, everyone can be a parent, not everyone can be a hero who does what is right, instead of what is easy and convenient
It's a dark painful strong and it leaves a kid scared and changed for life.
exactly, By being alone during 28 years, Emma has learned to survive in the life
@@soixsantes Yes at a cost no one should pay just to survive. Surviving is not living. Forced to do it long enough and you waste your life. What use is surviving just to suffer?

Ok, Emma was either reading Peter Pan, or Snow White! Or maybe the ugly duckling.. idk but one of those 3
Peppermint Bliss what makes you think that?

It was the right thing to do, but I do wish they went through the door so they could be parents and Emma could have the family she’s always dreamed of😢
yeah, quite a complex situation

They always had to make the hardest decisions. This scene makes me sad everytime they're always thinking of others before themselves even when they deserved nothing but happiness
Great representation of how you wouldn't have become you if you didn't go through the hardships. Who's to say she would've been happier with them? I absolutely loved this series, hope the do another one now that all the kingdoms are combined.
The kid who plays Mary ! She is amazing ! Love this show and the cast !
A little bit longer?? They could've just taken her back with them... Maybe sent a sign that her parents were waiting for her and she was going to find them... this show was about hope and they should've given that to Emma...
VeeMarie then a paradox would occur and the events like Emma becoming the savior and Henry being born wouldn’t have happened
No, they couldn't have. Literally every time travel story that has ever existed, INCLUDING all the others that have been in OUAT, explains exactly why they couldn't have done that. How stupid can you be?
@@LordofFullmetal Hush, bully, it's just her opinion.
@@LordofFullmetal This is not a time travel story
@@LordofFullmetal also, since Emma's destiny was to become the savior, she still would've freed storybrooke at the age of 28. It would've possible affected other things though.
Même après avoir vu la série et qu'à la fin tout le monde est heureux, cette scène continue de me faire pleurer...
this series is the best man 😩 I was so sad when I finished but glad everyone got a happy ending
Yes but by saving Emma you doom everyone else.
Who else has seen all the seasons but still weirdly excited it’s on UA-cam 😂
meeee xD
Did anyone notice if you follow McKenna Grace (little Emma) on Instagram the stuffed animal on the edge of her bed is hers. DD
The actor that plays Emma such a wonderful actor she’s in young Sheldon and many other shows just like this and she’s does amazing every time
McKenna have such a full schedule, she is in everything
This scene hurt my soul Christ on a bike
I cried a lot watching this scene.
I cried!... this is so sad!
I love watching this program it's the best fairytale program ever
i love emma and david’s relationship.
Regina would have done something to the other while one was away

What about Emma’s happiness? She had such a hard childhood and they have this opportunity to give her a wonderful, love filled life! How could they let this pass by? 😭 The only justification I can find is that Henry would never be born, and the townspeople would be stuck.... but WHAT ABOUT EMMA!?💔
They didn't know that
Because magic has a price and changing the whole timeline could make things worse than they actually were it's a big step to unknown. David wouldn't leave her there, but Snow's thoughts were always about greater good. Emma found her happiness, a lot of good things in her life would not happen, especially her children, if they would just changed everything.
Townspeople would in the loop forever and who knows what would have Regina done had there been no Henry.

Ouat is so much better than got and other shows
I like both shows but I had to say "you know nothing.."
Luís Dias Oh please GoT is nothing compared to ouat
I miss them so much!!
I really miss this show 😞
I like alternate stories cuz you know the story could be where they did go through or one of them went through. Are there could be a storyline where Regina decided to adopt a child after she met that little boy is sad. She ends up adopting Emma. That's the funny thing about alternate realities it has so many different choices in life that could make even fun stories.
This scene just brings me to tears, first time they see her and they can’t be with her
I can’t wait to get to that part
Saaameee
I cried at this...... MY HEART THO
I need a fanfiction where they actually go through the wardrobe and raise her
This was when she was reading Ugly Duckling Nursery Rhyme from Mother Goose *happy sigh*
I swear to god that child is in basically everything 😂
ONCERS UNITE
damn this girl is in everything
i know!!!!, i cant seem to watch a show where she isn't in
Everyone hates snow but i would agree, put everyone to eternal sadness or wait abit longer and then emma will love with fairytales and the love of her life. Also emma did have a rough childhood but it shaped her personality and she just wouldnt be the same without it. And she wouldnt have henry. So decide what you would do in that situation
Save her. She'd still be the savior. But you don't need to put a child through abuse and neglect for them to be strong.
I have to watch this again
It has been said that:
A hero will save the world even if it means sacrificing the one they love.
A villain will sacrifice the world in order to save the one they love.
I cannot say which one is right or wrong, all I know is if it were up to me, I'd end up a villain.
