(FR) La Galerie Nathalie Obadia de Bruxelles est heureuse de présenter Shape the echo and other works la huitème exposition personnelle du peintre et dessinateur portugais Jorge Queiroz, depuis que la galerie représente l’artiste découvert à la Biennale de Venise en 2003.
Shape the echo and other works présente un ensemble de peintures de l’artiste, dont cinq nouvelles oeuvres spécialement réalisées pour cette exposition.
Depuis plus de trente ans, Jorge Queiroz poursuit l’élaboration d’univers oniriques où s’entrelacent le monde des esprits et le monde réel. Les formes sont libres et flottantes, se modulent parfois jusqu’à esquisser des corps hybrides, naissant au cœur de l’abstraction. La palette chromatique employée est vive et contrastée, la couleur est ruisselante : les violets se mêlent aux jaunes, les bleus aux rouges et les variations de verts se déploient également sur toute la surface du tableau.

(UK) Galerie Nathalie Obadia in Brussels is delighted to present Shape the echo and other works, the eighth solo exhibition by Portuguese painter and graphic artist Jorge Queiroz, since the gallery first represented the artist at the Venice Biennale in 2003.
Shape the echo and other works features a group of paintings by the artist, including five new works created especially for this exhibition.
For over thirty years, Jorge Queiroz has been creating dreamlike worlds in which the realms of the spirit and the real world intertwine. The forms are free and floating, at times morphing into hybrid bodies, emerging from the very depths of abstraction. The colour palette used is vivid and contrasting, with colours flowing freely: purples blend with yellows, blues with reds, and also various shades of green spread across the entire surface of the painting.
