From the person who brought you "why you don't want a magical artifact" and "why you don't want a super power" comes "why you don't want to be isekai'd."
Re:Life In Another World ina nutshell.
Did this guy also make videos on superpowers and magic artifacts? If so where can I find them?
@@zag5434 I believe they meant Shipwright's comics.
@@zag5434 I was referring to his comic series from DeviantArt.
I did respond to your comment with a link but that comment seems to have disappeared. Maybe a mod-bot didn't like me posting a link to a different site?

The amount of personality you managed to give a single hand is both amazing and hilarious

This video made realize 2 things
1. We need more Isekai where people are sent to extremely weird places
2. Most Western Isekai type stories do tend to have them go in a strange world
Imagine the classic fantasy isekai but furthermore or gravity falls kind of weird. What I want is more logical ways of isekai'ing like a sci-fi machine from 10000 years into the future does some valse vacuum black hole tech and makes a portal to a fantasy world. Not some r.o.b (random omnipotent being) doing it for the story. Also I want sci-fi tech in fantasy world because it's so underused
Yess
@@Krane5328 honestly more people have to realize all of these story ideas are written about, thought out, and just aren't popular. I know for a fact because I've read them (on royal road) that there are enjoyable stories like this out there and literally this exact premise (with or without the sci fi tech) has been written about. I've read it. The problem is that popular stories and stuff on shelves has to be palatable and generally not flip tropes on their head because you want everybody to understand the book. It's like the lowest common denominator thing for pop songs in music but that sounds demeaning to people who haven't discovered the genre so I just like to say widely accessible. If you really actually want this story you have to sift through bad stories like crazy and that's just how this sort of thing works.
The omnipotent being is legitimately easier to explain in a quick synopsis and less complex so more authors use it. Also I'm not going to lie having an actual force doing it adds much more mystery and possibility for a story from the outset like maybe killing the god that sent you here because they just play with the lives of people they isekai (worth the candle) or they actually put you here to fight another god but you discover the first god was evil too. Or they're an earth lore accurate god that did stuff throughout irl history and now you can deal with another world affected by this god.
My point is that people use the god trope because it gives intention to the force that brought you here. There's definitely no rights or wrongs to writing isekai stories and the "wrong" is definitely not the one that everybody uses. The only thing I find annoying is when there's bad writing or horrible annoying characters, (which I will add happens a lot more with the "gravity falls or furthermore" kind of weird cause it can so easily fall into cringe and "oh you must be new here" from the locals in response to every weird-ass thing that happens) or when the author leaves no room for the story to grow (which happens ESPECIALLY if somebody has superior tech to the locals off the bat.)
Can you give me an an example of something that doesn't send them to a strange world?

The idea that God gave up on isekaing people is super funny
Damn I guess.
Nah more like “god decided to do it himself because the intern he created doesn’t really know how to properly do his work”
Which one n turn explains why its always a [insert generic deity B here] greeting you and not some underling entity.
@@labbit35it was literally referencing heaven and hell at the end, so yes the punchline is that god gave up on isekai-ing people.
@@108wee oh I didn’t figure that out
Oops
The random humans probably have more effort put into their design than some isekai mc entire personality
Да. Мы можем поговорить о том, насколько ужасны их судьбы? У меня сжалось сердце от... Этого...
I might be imagining things but it feels like mc personalities in isekai all feel like self inserted personality. Like all they do in the anime looks like their dream fantasies or insert their stupid fetish. It’s sad knowing that most anime studios can spend their time on animating a manga with a well written plot and characters but instead they animte self inserted fetishes.

This is amazing. I really like the niche genre of storytelling that makes fictional and imaginative “backstories” or origins for (common) things, as seen in this one with heaven, hell, and the grim reaper.
3:55 All tomorrows reference lol
Or maybe just a warning...

Narnia does in fact count as Isekai.
I would like you to know that youtube thought your comment was in a different language... your wlecome
That's... actually correct? Four kids go from our world to a fantasy world they have to save and become heroes and rulers. Some of them more than once and there are other kids landing there later (and earlier) to do some world-saving as well. They're not summoned there (but there were prophecies about them) and they weren't about to die, but I don't think those are necessary isekai requirements.
To think that one of the oldest isekai stories may be one written by a very religious author paraphrasing biblical events.
The OG isekai
Wizard of Oz too. Same goes for Alice in the Wonderland.
Digimon Adventure is unironically the best Isekai anime.
"Actually, I haven't watched any Isekai stuff."
Well don't start now!
For the love of God, do not start. You will be disappointed very quickly 😅
as with any other genre, depends on the show you watch whether its good or not.
this honestly would be a fucking amazing pilot for an isekai.
Only Konosuba, overlord and rezero are worth giving a shot
@@victorhugo3952I've found Mushoku Tensei very enjoyable personally. The first few episodes are a pain to go through because of how sexual it is for whatever reason. Eventually it cools down though.
And there is the hilariously bad category where it is so bad it loops back to being good
it just keeps getting longer and better. wish there was an overarching storyline with some episodes though.
If he starts animating the color guys or the swordless swordman there will be
I think the character at the end he draws in his comics, so don't worry about that
This feels very inspired by Double King

@ManlySalmon Yeah, I don't really see the resemblance at all. I suppose there are elements of similarities, but very inspired is definitely pushing it

I got those vibes aswell. Upon further inspection it heavily comes from the sound design. I don't get those double king vibes on mute.

Reminds me of that Isekai idea I have where one of the Hero characters sent to hunt down the MC wind up being sent to another world as reanimated pixelated roadkill. He serves as the MC’s unwilling companion + essential Isekai and reincarnation trope expert.
By the end of the series The Red Pixel Blob basically evolves into Missingno.
Whats the name of this story about transdimensional roadkill?
As stated before, he’s a sidekick character to the reap protagonist.
And It’s still in the idea/planning phase, but the title is planned to be *The Monster In Me: Rejecting My Humanity In Another World*
You know how in every Isekai where the protagonist is reincarnated as a monster only to always, without fail, gain a human form they’ll spend the rest of their time in? (Cough, Slime & Spider)
This is the opposite of that. Our protagonist wants to be a monster (An actual monster, not a humanoid one like a goblin or something) , but stays a human. In a world of magic and science our protag will do everything in her power to shed her humanity, come heaven or high water!
However, the Angel Queen (Main antagonist) is having none of that, and summons stock isekai heroes through various means. Our red pixel slime buddy is the first of these heroes.

I love how creative this aesthetic is. It must have taken a ton of work, but it totally shows!!
Incredible. Fantastic job beginning to end to everyone who worked on this. Everything from the sound, to the character design, to the animation itself is fantastic and snappy. Can't wait to see more.

So that’s how the grim reaper came along
During the death montage I could hear the theme song of “Dumb ways to die” playing in my head
bro is a one of a kind genius.
There is a thought i had, what if i was isekai'ed to a completely unknown and unfamiliar world? Like say its not humans that are the top of a food chain, but some sort of Lovecraftian horrors. Assuming i can communicate with them, could i still do what i want without being played? without being dragged into someone's political games?
animation very well done, in addition to the stories having a very interesting development despite not being very long
