Imagine the classic fantasy isekai but furthermore or gravity falls kind of weird. What I want is more logical ways of isekai'ing like a sci-fi machine from 10000 years into the future does some valse vacuum black hole tech and makes a portal to a fantasy world. Not some r.o.b (random omnipotent being) doing it for the story. Also I want sci-fi tech in fantasy world because it's so underused
@@Krane5328 honestly more people have to realize all of these story ideas are written about, thought out, and just aren't popular. I know for a fact because I've read them (on royal road) that there are enjoyable stories like this out there and literally this exact premise (with or without the sci fi tech) has been written about. I've read it. The problem is that popular stories and stuff on shelves has to be palatable and generally not flip tropes on their head because you want everybody to understand the book. If you really actually want this story you have to sift through bad stories like crazy and that's just how this sort of thing works. The omnipotent being is legitimately easier to explain in a quick synopsis and less complex so more authors use it. Also I'm not going to lie having an actual force doing it adds much more mystery and possibility for a story from the outset like maybe killing the god that sent you here because they just play with the lives of people they isekai (worth the candle) or they actually put you here to fight another god but you discover the first god was evil too. Or they're an earth lore accurate god that did stuff throughout irl history and now you can deal with another world affected by this god. My point is that people use the god trope because it gives intention to the force that brought you here. The only thing I find annoying is when there's bad writing or horrible annoying characters, (which I will add happens a lot more with the "gravity falls or furthermore" kind of weird cause it can so easily fall into cringe and "oh you must be new here" from the locals in response to every weird-ass thing that happens) or when the author leaves no room for the story to grow (which happens ESPECIALLY if somebody has superior tech to the locals off the bat.)
