I understand why matte displays exist. I don't understand why anyone would buy one for photo editing. The paucity of sharp, gloss alternatives is a mistake made by too many companies.

It's a great one! I am eyeing the updated version of it the PD3225U to replace the LG. Better black point! It'll be nice to see them side by side. Thanks for watching and the comment Chris!

Did you make this video for me? Actually looking at monitors right now.

Honestly I was apprehensive about the Studio Display because of the price tag and the fact that it's only 27". Now that I have one, editing video in Final Cut Pro, editing photos in photomator or Affinity suite is 🔥. Sometimes I wish thedisplay was bigger but because of the resolution I can fit a lot on my screen.
I may even consider getting another one!

@@TheMichaelTech the studio display was top on my list, but for almost $2k (here in canada) I wanted 2, and it was just way too much to go all in with it, and the bent and LG were both on sale for about $1000 each. So for one apple display I was able to get 2 4k monitors that are great. Most of my footage is 4k so I can watch it 1 to 1 on the screen. Thanks for watching and the comment Michael!

@@RafaelLudwig Solid! That’s an absolute 🔥deal! I’d probably have gone with that option as well. Great video!

with windows cpu people says to buy 1440p screen and not go for 4k to get the best fps. Is that the same for a MacStudio ? Is the macstudio strong enough to handle 4k monitor while having no issue with fps ?
    * My plan is to have triple screen 27inch maybe 1440p or 4k with minimum 60hz and 1ms latency

I used to have 2 32u950s, but I sold them for a studio display.

Super video 👌. Epic channel. Congratulations. I really need your opinion: I'm interested in buying the BenQ PD2705U, what do you think of this model? Would it be a good buy? My fear and doubt is that it has 250 nits. From your experience, do you think 250 nits is enough? I'm going to use this monitor for web design, coding and also for watching movies and series. What's your opinion?

the Benq monitors are pretty solid, and a range of 200-400 nits is good for indoor usage. If you are in a bright spaces it may feel dim, but overall a good choice!
Thanks for watching and the comment!

This is extremely helpful as I'm currently looking for a new 32 monitor as well, with very similar requirements as you.
    Thanks so much! 🌟👍

This is exactly why I made this video, to answer those questions that are beyond the specs and how the monitors work day to day and how they hold up a year later! Thanks for watching and the comment!

Good informative video. I had a ProArt monitor for a few years and recently had to do a warranty claim when I had issues with many of the menu features just stopped working. The customer service support from Asus has been really awful. It’s been courierd back to the service department three times and the issue has still not been resolved and it’s been six months without it. It really is a shame as it is such a great monitor. They are talking of refunding me now, last I heard, so I will look at the two monitors you discuss in this video. I hope they both would have better service support.

I was really hoping to like the ProArt it was fantastic and REALLY bright, I feel it would have been overkill for my set up and my needs. But two monitors back to back with similar issues, and I did also hear stories of poor customer support but didn't want to bring that up in the video as it was only hearsay on my part. The LG and Benq are great, Find the best price! Thanks for watching and the comment Julia!

@@RafaelLudwig I tried the LG 5K display first and I sent it back. Then I tried one of the pro arts. I'm pretty sure it's the one that you have in this video. But it was only 400 nits. Then I figured I'll try the studio display and if I again don't like it, I will send it back. And man, it is just perfect for me. I don't blame you for buying what you got though makes sense
