- Learn the Optic Nerve Pathway and the Visual Field Defects that occur due to lesions in different parts of the Optic Nerve Pathway, including Homonymous Hemianopia, Bitemporal Hemianopia, Quadrantanopia, Macular Sparing and Macular Degeneration. What is the difference between the Temporal vs Nasal Retina? What defects are there in the visual fields if we have: optic nerve lesions, optic chiasm lesions, optic tract lesions or optic radiation lesions? What is macular sparing? What happens in the lateral geniculate nucleus? What is anopia?

In seven minutes you made it as clear as day! I've never understood this throughout my neurology attachment in medical school nor in my Uworld explanations. Thank you, than you thank you!!!🤗
You're welcome, happy it helped!
The best video I have ever seen about hemianopia and optic lesion❤️
Best video I've seen so far on this subject. Thank you!
I watched 3,4 vedios earlier to it, but this vedio cleared my whole concept about optic lesion !! Best vedio ever !
Clear and easily explained, it took me only 5 mints to understand , Thank you !
As a member of the last minute community 😂😅, you are a life saver👍. Thanks😊.
Helped me clarify the difference between the retinal side and the corresponding visual fields, when it comes to lesion of the optic tract. Thank you!
My concepts are cleared for life, so nicely explained, thank you
Great Video! I like that you use different colors for illustrations instead of white and black in most pictures for visual field defects! totally subbing to your channel! :)
Really glad it helps! Thanks!
Seven minutes that worth it. So good.
Thank you! Means a lot hearing people enjoyed the videos 😀

Thank you so much.searched so many vedios ,finally I understood by ur vedio😁😁
This was super helpful. Thank you. One question I have, for the macular sparing lesion labeled number 5, since it looks to be on the right occipital lobe, would the right temporal visual field and the left nasal visual field be spared along with the macula? Thanks again
Thankyou so much ..u described everything

You saved my time, many thanks
Glad it helped!
best video on this topic
Really an awesome video😍😍😍 Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Is it needed a resonance to know where the issue is on the optic nerve?
Thanks a lot 💞
thank you sir.
Great Video
Great explanation !
Glad it helped!
Thank you ❤
Thanx a lot 👏🏻
You explained it so well😭🫀
I'm happy it was helpful 🙂
Awesome explanation
Glad it helped!
Excellent video
Thank you 😊
Nice video.short and sweet🎉
Thanks!
Thank you
You're welcome 😊
Very well explained. I always find it difficult to get my head around the visual pathways, but if you draw it out like the above, you can work it out fairly easily. If a patient has bitemporal hemianopia, I would investigate with a serum prolactin (which may be raised in pituitary adenomas), skull film and formal visual field testing to try and elicit exactly where their field defect is.
Thanks - I agree that drawing them out helps tremendously
Thank you sir..
You're very welcome!
thank you!
You're welcome!
thank you so much
You're welcome John 👍
Really appreciated
Thanks 🙂
THANK U SOOOO MUCH
YOU'RE WELCOME 👌😄
I never got dis ryt untill today
Perfect
Thank you! 👍👌
no sooner u r going to be a big channel🙂
Is there specific cure for quadrantanopia
Why there is a homonymous hemianopia if only the red one is affected why both eyes are affected
Tyty :)
😊 You're welcome
You made a mistake. It’s not the photoreceptor axons that form the optic nerve, it’s the ganglionic cell axons. Good video regardless.
👍🏼
i wonder how you managed to explain it in 7 minutes😂😂😂😂my lecturere took 2hours explaining same things
Lateral geniculate is for auditory
medial is for auditory
Thank you!
