Mixed review for Heathrow Airport - Spring 2019 experience EWR-London-BLR round trip business class - I was taking my flight from London to EWR BA business class - Got the priority boarding as I walked down the stair to start walking towards the aerobridge the security staff was excited to pull me based on ethnicity He told I was required to go through additional security -> They did a pat down head to toe for me which was shocking (why pull me after I am already gone through two levels of security screening) -> They passed my backpack bag in the x-ray machine, opened all possible zips in the backpack, smeared some thing and put in some machine like litmus test BTW my backpack small size had travel document and a Sony ten year old pocket camera. Even though they allow handbag and another carry one for business class I always travel light -> this cherry picked screening took over 20 minutes! what I gained from priority boarding was eaten up in this process. We all love to abide laws and appreciate the effort taken to fly us safe but in all the European airports (Heathrow included) brown skin gets a downgraded treatment - Fall 2019 experience JFK->London->Doha->BLR round trip Business Class - Terminal bus connection instruction is not clear since I was traveling alone and in Business class was fortunate to gain priority to deplane and run to the bus - Security staff in the connecting airport was extremely rude and inefficient (they point finger yell! at customers, me included, many passengers include me made should to rate bad experience, not sure if someone really reviews the ratings) Not worth writing the horrifying experience since 1995 when I have flow through Heathrow few times in economy class
I’m coming on a Westjet flight from Calgary and need to catch an Air France flight (both terminal 3). How long does that take midday on a Saturday? I have almost three hours between landing and takeoff
My arrival (united) and departure (lufthansa) are both in terminal 2. Will I need to go through security again? Currently only have a 1hr10min layover, is that enough time to get to the new gate if it's in the same terminal?
I have to move from T5 to T5 C. During a layover of 2 hrs at heathrow. Where do I go through security, if required by transit passengers or directly go to T5C gate?
Hello! I am going to travel to Newark from India on 3rd April 2019 and then return after a week and both via LHR. I will arrive at terminal 4 and then onward flight from terminal 2 with layover time of 9 hours. DO I NEED A TRANSIT VISA IN ANY CASE?
You only need a transit visa if you wish to step out of LHR and see london. If you plan to wait inside the airport for your connecting flight, you don't need one.
What do you do about checked luggage? Do you have to collect it from the carousel and then check it in again at the desk for the onward flight or does the baggage system load it onto the next flight for you?
Hi !How does luggage works in connecting flight? I know that I am going to get both the boarding passes from source airport but I am really confused that where will I get my checked in baggage? I have a connecting flight . I am flying from Delhi(India) to bangkok(Thailand) and from bangkok to phuket. I am flying from thai airways. Can you please guide? Many thanks in advance :)

Flight departs 17:10, and will need to check in luggage. Does anyone know if the 3 hrs I have is enough time to deplane, collect luggage, customs, shuttle, check in at Terminal 4, security, and be at my gate? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

my ticket is of same airline that is jet airlines upto my destination. my fear is just to get my connecting flight within very short time from London Heathrow terminal 2
pamala Gribben You can only use the Flight Connections process if your bags are checked through to your final destination (do not say LHR in big letters on tag). In this case, your bags will go right through to your next flight. Otherwise, you will need to enter the UK, claim your bags, go through customs, and check in as a normal departing passenger.

Really need to lose having to go through security again. Makes zero sense. If pax go through security to get on the plane at the originating airport, fly, get on the transfer bus at say T3, go to T5, go through border control and have zero contact with anything or anyone who hasn’t been through security the whole way, why the extra 30 mins + going through security again just to get into T5 departures? If the same person decides “you know what I’ve been on a 10 hour flight and need some fresh air at T3 and goes through border control and has a wander and makes their own way to T5 - yes - they have to go through security again. If they’re airside the whole way though - why?
The problem is: Not all countries have the same Aviation Security Guidelines, so you'll pass through security at Heathrow again to verify you meet all UK standards
@@mstrmren I think this can be mitigated by One Stop Security Agreements the UK can sign to give a waiver to certain countries like US, Canada, EU, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, etc. This can help generate reciprocity between countries to reduce red tape in the traveling experiences, while making sure that aviation security is a paramount priority. The US has similar agreements with other European countries, for example, which is why places like Schiphol, Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich, Paris, etc. are a bit easier when arriving from America (though passport control may be needed depending on location).
Heathrow Airport, I may be travelling to Bucharest with a flight connection at LHR, I will go with Air Canada from Toronto, I will be arriving at T2, right? Then I travel with TAROM, which is in Sky Team to Bucharest, which terminal does TAROM leave from?, thanks!

Do we need a UK visa if we are transiting for less than 3hours and also to get to other terminals or within the terminal?
I would also like to know if you needed the visa
