    Holy... I wish they would finally get rid of the laggy screens in cars in 2024... it looks like a smartphone from 2006

    I do wonder what Ford have changed since it's over two seconds faster than the previous one and it's still the e-cvt transmission 🤔

      @@DrivingCars I know it have 18hp more, but that shouldn't make it over two seconds faster and it's 8kg heavier 🤔

      I have the 2023 Phev and I think it must be the inital get up and go from dead stop, mine ramps up for some time before it applies full power. This one seems to apply power from the get go. Either Ford are happy the CVT is more reliable than they thought and can apply more torque without risk in the new model. Or they've put a new CVT in it with a bigger belt / torque capacity.

      @@tf2694 It's a e-cvt, not cvt 😊. Our car doesn't have a belt, it's a electronic build up, very different compared to a regular cvt. But yeah, maybe they have optimised it a lot better and change the electric motor also for more power.

      ​@@BaMbOoZeD In fact e-cvt is planetary gear beeing steered by multifunction electric motor-generator MG1. Engine drives planets, ring is output, and the sun is driven by smaller MG1, Sometimes MG1 recuperates power, sometimes sun is rotated by it to define cvt ratio between engine and output. Very smart dsign. Ford bought it from Toyota (Toyota calls this Synergy Drive). MG1 is also starter for combustion engine. On the output there is also big MG2 which handles EV mode and sometimes recuperates power.

      good suspension, good power, not bad car at all

      Yes, is suspension too stiff? Seems like there a lot of vibration coming in when your going over bumps. Plus lots of rattles.

      @@searchagent2801 I've never ever drove a Kuga but my Puma is very stiff. Not a average French expirience (every car is very comfortable) :D
