man i miss this era of nascar. i dont know why, but nascar just doesnt feel the same anymore. i used to get so excited every sunday to watch the cup race, now i only watch them because of ryan preece. i desperately hope that its just something in me and that something might reignite that spark i used to have, but i dont know anymore
side note, 2014 still only feels like 4 or 5 years ago to me, and I would give anything for that to be true. these past few years have just been a blur, I've felt like I've been on autopilot for years now. I would give anything to go back to before 2020
It’s asking a lot. But go to a track that maybe you haven’t been to yet. I’m watching because this era got me into nascar and I have attended every NH race since 2012. Big Dale jr fan and when he left it was hard to watch I just liked the 88 because I didn’t like Jimmie and Chase annoys me. Then when Alex switched to jimmies number I hated it and started liking Larson. He had a great year which helped but I went to my first Daytona 500 in 2022 and it reignited it for me. Ive been to 3 different tracks since and it really helped me. It’s not perfect, this era of racing is certainly better. But it can’t get better if it dies off, I hope I can go to races with my son when older and enjoy it together like I did with my father. I think people coming together to make it better beats leaving because what a few people ruined.
