Most people think that the Jews suffered the most, and while they did suffer immensely at the hands of the Nazis.
The Russians suffered far more, not just by the Nazis, but by Germany as a whole.
It's such a dark time in our history as a species, and yet, we're witnessing it occur once again right now
@@JetJockey87 True. The Jews were being eradicated by the Nazis in the most insane, Systematic manner. But the same atrocities were committed on the entirety of the soviet populus, the African countries, eastern europe, Italy, and of course Germany itself
4:54 What is Gale Boetticher doing in WW2?
@3:13 This is the Tyrolean who is based on an actual individual who went around Berlin the final days hanging people.
Very good
Just because the Country's also known for atrocities like the Holocaust doesn't mean not to sympathise their Civilians who had no knowledge about it until the Nuremberg Trials years after WW2.
Everyone knew about it in Germany don't even try to perpetuate the clean German myth all were guilty with few exceptions

Maybe not guilty of direct participation, but certainly quite compliant. But this is absolutely true with those in the army.
@@KonstantinKonstantinovic-xf3qt agreed there
They didnt know the full extent of the death camps, lots of Nazi propaganda portrayed the concentration camps as "for their own good" for those that were sent there, and had made videos of the prisoners smiling and such
If Japan had fought a "decisive battle on the home front" with the United States in 1945, things might have turned out like Berlin.
もし1945年に日本がアメリカと「本土決戦」をしていたなら、ベルリンの様になっていたかもしれない。
The part where the others get ambushed & they're screaming out for help
Its always the Innocent whom suffer the most. Almost never those whom are giving the orders.
The smarter German folk got the F out of there because they knew, and survived
Man's inhumanity to fellow man is awful.
Terrible to see all the old men being hung
Especially since the war is over, and you just get executed by the losing side for no reason
Berlin and Okinawa, Japan and Krauts went from having perfect uniforms, new weapons, great tactics, and a perfect amount of webbing, to looking like vagabonds.
Who were those guys hanging random civilians? Why did they do that?
Ss, every able bodied person from something like 14-65 was ordered to defend Berlin, if they refuse it was seen as desertion so they were executed.
@German_Empire_enjoyerain’t no bright side just death and despair

Can someone explain to me what are they cutting at 0:54
People say a horse
Ya it's a dead horse. Freshly killed ones were vital protine sources in WW2 conflict zones.
I hope its not a dead human
I cant imagine that this seemed like anything other than the apocalypse for those living in Berlin. I suppose it was in a lot of ways, it was the end of their world as they knew it.
Yeah and rightly so.
Complete madness, the entire war.
Um povo que acompanha seus lideres na insanidade é tão culpado quanto eles .
Some of the sound effects are bad
Humans at their worst
2:40 she realized she wasn't as scientifically superior as she thought she was 😂😂
What did they drink?
No matter what happened in stalingrad and berlin. Humans will always lose their cool and especially humanity when they get to do whatever they want to the people that didnt do anything to them directly.
“The Germans committed atrocities on our civilians, so we’ll commit atrocities on theirs.”
War makes monsters of men
Cool film
No Way Did You just change the Thumbnail?
Yeah, I changed it.
First video in a playlist on nuclear war... for some reason.
This is as sad as it is horrifying.
The song Road to Moscow Al Stewart. It sings "they cross over the border ahour before dawn moving in lines through the day, by evening the gunfires was miles away. In the footsteps of Napoleon the shadows staggers through the winter, falling behiztge gates of Moscow standing in the wings like a avenger
That's the final approach. When the Russian snow fell it was a absolute surrender
I am from Pakistan 😢😢

Perhaps is time for us to finally accept that this is also who we are as a species. We’re not just good or bad. We do heinous things just like other animals and we also take care of each other. But the illusion of learning from our history is quite obvious as we speak. When circumstances are “right”, all of us are capable of inexplicable horror.
The Germans fought like lions ❤ .
War is hell
WWII lasted so long because it was difficult for God to decide which evil would win.

Geez. Hanging civilians in the middle of a war zone
I could never in a million years poison my own children. The Nazis had no regard for human life at all....even their own. Absolutely awful.
This is the master race?
They've never claimed to be the master race. But decendants of Aryans and that's it. That lie is a projection of it's creator. The jews.
Look was their top rabbies say about the Goy (non jews) look how they treat the Goy in orthodox jewish neighborhoods at israel, you better don't look like one there.
That's because between them they believe they are masters above all creature, as Adam was. But including us, gentiles as a kind beast. That's mostly not on the bible but in the babilonian Talmud and sohar, books they read ans instruct of, this names are almost self explanatory.
Cold. Lol.
What were the hangings about?
Cowardice and/or Defeatism. They hung a lot of innocent civilians who were just trying to get away from the ever changing front lines
Nazi dumb chit kinda stuff
The real hangigns, mass violations, abusing of germans were made by the comunists. Germans were commiting suicide including civilians to prevent living a worse experience in hands of the savage soviets. So did goebbels, hitler. The volkstruum, the ones making the hangings in the movie are units voluntary citizen recruits. In real life not all of the citizen were volkstruum and that was ok. Germans weren't in the position of wasting bullets nor energy on what they were defending, their people.
They just decided that if you don't want to die you should die

Can anyone tell me who the man in the portrait on the wall is at 5:55 ?

That's king Frederick de Grosse (the great)
Hitler admired him and even saw himself in him. Though i doubt the king would like Hitler much.

If people truly knew what the red army did to civilians, especially women and children, this is pretty humane compared to what the red army did.
@Kievskaya-Rus More Russians starved and died under your glorious daddy Stalin, 100s of millions counting occupied countries. Funny thing is, Soviet peasants welcomed approaching Wehrmacht forces with open arms, besides the ones that were forced to fight and dig trenches for a crappy ideology that you so desperately get your panties wet over
@Kievskaya-Rus a majority of those millions were killed by Stalin and Soviet Command. Try again, Ivan

I feel for the german civilians. But Hitler and most germans never felt for others
Hitler, being the demon he is, refused to evacuate civilians from Berlin. He also gave the SS orders to shoot any civilians that flee Berlin. He wanted to use them as human shields.
