"Resurrection" wasn't nearly as bad as everyone says....... it was influenced by late King Crimson, so you just need to get into it....... I love that album
itkojecockot Yeah, a lot of Geoff Tate haters. I pretty much like everything he has done solo wise. Of course it's not as good as early Ryche, but what is? 👍
itkojecockot I thought his biggest mistake was calling the band Operation Mindcrime. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. He should have called it the Geoff Tate Band or anything else.
Ed Guy well that didn't rub me the wrong way...... what rubbed me the wrong way, was how he fucked up the legacy of such great album by releasing that piece of garbage called "Mindcrime II" :D:D that was pure disaster and obviously a poor attempt to attract fans to the band by releasing album with the name "Mindcrime" in it..... it had to be, cause the quality of the music on that disc is insulting...... the entire album is unbelieveable shit.....
Ed Guy what I find extra amusing is, that if you visit comment section of recent Queensryche, there are tons of haters saying that "without Geoff, this is not Queensryche anymore etc...." and when you visit comment section of this Geoff's solo band there are tons of people praying for Geoff's death :D:D:D:D:D seems like both sides have a lot of trolls and haters :D:D
I am not a particular fan of this track but whole album is very good... solid and with a renovated taste for melody. On the album, when Geoff INPS, he really DELIVER IT; the problem is he often "talk" instead of singing 😜
Robert Carrion well Operation mindcrime resurrection sounded good through my sound system. That's a physical copy in a player..lol yeah FU was rushed...a pissing contest to beat out to other QR...but then some of the remixes were not as good either...
What the hell ..great catch what shitty mixing...its fn embarrassing for Geoff to be this low...and I have been a fan but this 4track 80s mixing in our houses
I'm not a huge fan of the production, but I still like it. I believe they are consciously going for a different sound. Geoff is singing different. I don't compare this to Queensryche because it isn't Queensryche. I don't think it is a bad song at all. Sounds pretty catchy. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you want to hear Queensryche, listen to Queensryche. Geoff doesn't sound like he used to, it's a fact. I just listen it to him for what he is now. I will give the rest of the record a chance.
Dan Maler If you remember he was definitely singing different on his later albums with Queensryche. His Operation Mindcrime remind me of the albums he did with Ryche towards the end of his time with them. I have just never been one to trash someone because they either choose a different style or age and circumstances force a vocal change. If I don't like it, I just don't listen to it. I try to look at things from a current point of view. Like I said I believe everyone has their right to their own opinion.
I think the production lets this down badly. I've listened to this twice and there are so many production flaws it spoils what might've been an enjoyable listen. Tate's voice isn't bad and the lead guitars sound fine.
for some reason, it's good that Geoff and Queensryche separated, cause since they parted ways, both of them started making much better music than those last couple albums Geoff did with Queensryche.......
I'm glad he's continuing to share his art. haven't heard anything like this before which was always nice but the music doesn't connect with me on any level. Production seems a little rough.
I've listened to A New Reality a lot now, and have also listened to the previous two albums. I think I can sum it up like this: I really, really like the albums. But I don't like any of the moments when Geoff tries to sing like David Bowie (low, wabbly and slightly out of tune). Geoff is a FAR superior singer than Bowie, and should try to sound like himself instead. Other than that I think all three albums are very unique and special, and I enjoy coming back to them. So well done, Geoff & Co!
I had the opportunity to listen to the full album and the truth is quite boring, this is one of the most decent songs on the album (which are not many) Geoff sounds incredible, with more acute intonations than before were impossible) but I do not take well that. "The key" and "Resurrection" are more interesting than the boring and redundant "The new reality"
Some picky production experts making comments on here... good luck with YOUR flawless multi million dollar albums people! Thanks Geoff look forward to hearing more!
People can hate on Todd and QR's last two albums, but they sound like Abbey Road compared to Tate's garbage excuse of a trilogy (especially the last record and this upcoming finale). If this is the best he can do then Wilton and the rest were right to kick him out. I hated Frequency Unknown, Thieves & Kings, etc. but this might be even worse than that.
Pretty good stuff even if I prefer wait for the whole album. Usually an album from Geoff Tate is better than the sum of each song because of the story. In fact, I listen to operation album as i watch a movie which mean from the beginning to the end and not a single scene. Anyway, hope the album will be as good as the others.
I am a big Geoff Tate fan and after the Frequency Unknown fiasco I was glad the the first OM sounded good, but this sounds like a left-over from FU. Hope the rest of the album sounds better. The song itself isnt bad but the production sucks, seems like the drums are skipping and the vocals are waving all through the song.
Hmmmm not his best work... But definitely there's something up with that mix..! That drum track is not real drummer...sequenced drums unfortunately... But poorly done.. Its definitely diffrent almost like he didn't care... Cause he just wanted the payday....😢
although it sounds too much to Q2K it intrigues me to know how the whole album sounds! at least I know it sounds modern and not like the heavy metal revival that Queensryche has been doing with Todd Latorre, and that on top of that he is beginning to run out of voice
Buck Norris You fucking blow lol. Listen to the production on this song....Tate has no money to do a real record. He's broke as fuck and his voice is shot.
Yaaawn
That's a cool demo.
Not a demo
+JIF882
Doesn't sound much better than a demo.
Sounds good, fan of both parties. I'm starving for good music.👍 Loved "the fight" song on last album.
"Resurrection" wasn't nearly as bad as everyone says....... it was influenced by late King Crimson, so you just need to get into it....... I love that album

I haven't seriously touched a guitar in years and I could come up with riffs that would destroy the ones on this record.
Then why haven't you?...
It's not too bad...sounds like it would fit right on the Operation Mindcrime II album...
At the beginning of this song Tate sounds like the late David Bowie's last album. Sounds like him again at about 4:04
I'll wait until i have an actual copy to see whats up with production...sometimes these tunes get sloppy once downloaded onto youtube...
Robert Carrion well Operation mindcrime resurrection sounded good through my sound system. That's a physical copy in a player..lol yeah FU was rushed...a pissing contest to beat out to other QR...but then some of the remixes were not as good either...
One of the best singers ever,Thanks Geoff this will kick ass!
wtf is the drummer doing at 1:11
What the hell ..great catch what shitty mixing...its fn embarrassing for Geoff to be this low...and I have been a fan but this 4track 80s mixing in our houses
someone here below suggests it is a drum machine/sampling... not a real drummer.
then dropping the beat makes even less sense
strunk_and_white well the whole song sucks sooo,,my 12 year son smokes the guitar player, I'd make him cry.
Home demo level...
Geoff Tate por favor, volte pra terra.
I'm not a huge fan of the production, but I still like it. I believe they are consciously going for a different sound. Geoff is singing different. Singing different = speaking the words and not actually bothering to sing them.
The song he did with Avantasia, Seduction of Decay, he was singing like he did with earlier QR music. Guess it was just a one off.
I'll have to check that out.
RockerSDS Him and Tobias Sammet sound great singing together.
We will see
What happens to the vocals/chorus volume at 1:24. ...basically fade to half....buried...very bad mix
joinha chupetao aqui do Brasil pro.mundo !!
I think the production lets this down badly. I've listened to this twice and there are so many production flaws it spoils what might've been an enjoyable listen. Tate's voice isn't bad and the lead guitars sound fine.
Big fan but........YUK
I got bored? Not sure of the repetition.
Love the new track and can't wait for the new album. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I love the new stuff he puts out
for some reason, it's good that Geoff and Queensryche separated, cause since they parted ways, both of them started making much better music than those last couple albums Geoff did with Queensryche.......
itkojecockot true that is my friend
I'm glad he's continuing to share his art. haven't heard anything like this before which was always nice but the music doesn't connect with me on any level. Production seems a little rough.

WTF are you talking about? David Bowie was one of the best rock singers of all time.
If you like him it doesn't really matter what I think.
Mirame esa disputa legal papu !
Hmm...interesting. Has a very Q2K feel to it! In fact, I hear a a familiar BREAKDOWN riff in there...i like it!
Always like Jeff's style of singing . This track is interesting in a good way .
Not a bad Bowie impersonation at times.
This sounds great all the haters need to go and try and song themselves or leave
Some picky production experts making comments on here... good luck with YOUR flawless multi million dollar albums people! Thanks Geoff look forward to hearing more!

A lot of people complain about Frontiers releases in general.
Sounds cool.
Awesome!!!
Time to hang it up dude ..
Pretty good stuff even if I prefer wait for the whole album. Usually an album from Geoff Tate is better than the sum of each song because of the story. He used to be my favorite, but he sounds tone deaf now. WTF
Its not his best song but still not bad, i can not wait for the album.
!!! !! !!!
!!! !! !!!
!!! !! !!!
What the hec is this ??? Sorry i pass
sound is terrible, and the song is totally uninspired...why geoff? why???
Yeah people, computer speakers are a great listening aspect to judge music on!...
Hmmmm not his best work... But definitely there's something up with that mix..! That drum track is not real drummer...sequenced drums unfortunately... But poorly done.. Its definitely diffrent almost like he didn't care... Cause he just wanted the payday....😢
Sounds great, regardless negetive feed back.
sounds awful
Awful mix/production as usual. WTF?!
But the song improves listening by listening 👂😊
I've heard a lot better, I've heard a lot worse.
I think this sounds great. Looking forward to the whole album.
szkcs No but thanks for your concern about my health
David Scott Lane well, if you're not deaf, then you must enjoy listening to absolute garbage
Rob Chapman I love this garbage, you love that Barry Manilow garbage, to each his own. If you don't like it, don't listen.
Lol
dude this sucks
Tate sounds weird. Is this a leaked demo or something?
Sucks. The guitar solos 'ain't cuttin' it.
Sorry but this sounds like a really crap filler song in the middle of a less than stellar album, meh is right.
the guitar solo is good, but the rest...
vocals seem buried. i like it though.
nope, try again
although it sounds too much to Q2K it intrigues me to know how the whole album sounds! at least I know it sounds modern and not like the heavy metal revival that Queensryche has been doing with Todd Latorre, and that on top of that he is beginning to run out of voice
Christian Darchez. I agree Queensrÿche with Todd on board sounds like refried or played out Q.R, in other words nothing new.
Recorded with a potato. Is he serious with this single? Wow... awful and pedestrian doesn't even cover it.
mix is really bad and time signatures are to weird Geoff has lost it vocally, its sad I really liked him
Way back during the QR split I knew Tate would continue to get worse and worse....sad that my predictions continue to be 100% correct.
What happened here? This is absolutely archaic and abysmal. Who mixed this? Helen Keller?
It's ok. I like the lyrics to the song but the music just didn't do anything for me.
Geoff should get sued for using that logo.
the sound is lame to say the least
we down to 2 octaves now Geoffe Taint?.........Pathetetic....keep drinking your wine, maybe take some vocal lessons.
I know. He was one of the greatest singers in Metal, and now... it's just sad.
it's not the first Frontiers band that sounds so bad... the drums sound is terrible, no dynamic, no punch nothing
That is absolutely awful.
Sounds good, but not great.
Meu deus que coisa mais horrorosa!!! 05/100
This doesn't even sound like Geoff Tate wtf.... This isn't very good. 🤨
niestety, ale to nie jest fajne...
Poor mixing and Geoff Tate just sucks
Awful. Todd is a much better singer
Gregory Chri I'd say now he is. Couldn't touch Tate back in his hay day though. No way....
Turd fucking blows... beyond awful live and cant do anything acoustic period.. WIltings is a butcher too..
Buck Norris You fucking blow lol. Listen to the production on this song....Tate has no money to do a real record. He's broke as fuck and his voice is shot.
@Ragna Rok: His ex-band needs to gig more so he earns more royalties for the classics he has credit on.
