I tried doing that and for some reason it didn’t want to go into place as when I took it out it’s like it didn’t wanna fit and the pulley would hang down lower to where the belt would just slip on I’m gonna buy another tensioner pulley and try again
Thanks for the video but it should have been like 3 minutes instead of 10. I just need to know the steps for removing and replacing the belt tensioner. That’s it.
You show most the hard things how to remove the van instead to speed the video ? If u really want to teach others something! The hard time go so fast than no one know how you could take that van? So what is the point? To share ?
Best belt replacement video for E60. Thanks.
Very kind of you. I do try to be as thorough as I can so people feel comfortable taking on the job. Hope people find it helpful. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, going to do this soon. Fixed already my oil leaks and after tha whole breather system.
Those coolant hoses look a bit swollen from oil.
BMWs are definitely good at coming up with oil leaks.
Thank you for making that noise vanish! Not being able to hear it RIP is so not cool...
Same for e90 n52 right?
Yep they are pretty similar.
Do you take the pin out after putting the tensioner pulley in or before
Leave the pin in until you have the belt routed back around all the pulleys, then pull it out and your belt will be tensioned and you are all set.

It’s like it wouldn’t fit in the slot the same way I took the old one out

Just my two cents. I’m probably too impatient, but again, thanks for making the vid
Where are you located?
Too bad that you ruined the T60 fitting on your tensioner. Next time you need to replace the belt it’s going to be an exercise in frustration.
Thanks for checking out the video! Took a bit of a break from the E60 for some Mercedes content, but will have more E60 stuff soon!
@@bucksgarage Don't worry...I'll still watch...a W211 is on the list to get soon also...something about the era of those two cars...MAN!
@@wayneious yeah, seems like different brands were a little more unique back in the day. Everything looks like a Camry these days.
