I don’t think it actually causes “uneven current” whatever that means, if anything two or more pins in the charging port would likely short together and thus send a weird signal to the cpu
There is almost certainly a barrier that prevents direct access to the SoC, but you probably dont want to fry your lightning port IC either.
Yea it’s more of a voltage thing measured on the data pins

In case of a water resistant phone I'd always recommend the alcohol 90% or better 99%. As it will displace the water out of the parts it is stuck in, drying with hot air can leave residues that can still cause corrosion. Especially if the liquid was something like soda or coffee.
Only problem is if you get it under your screen your screens screwed

IPX has rather strict guidelines for that.
And waterproof phones are still rare and mostly just marketed as such.

I just got this message recently and im on a sammy note 21+, really helpful and it gives a notification that wont go away with an annoying sound playing to alert you.
It also happens on s10s and the first time I got that notification, it scared me so much
And it did happen on the S7 too... Lmao
Get some deoxIT. Just brush a little into the port, wait 30 sec, then dry it out. Saved my Note 10+.

Okay, I’m going on a rant, my charger ALWAYS DOES THIS. It’s never been in water, and it never will be. It’s either broken or something stupid is going on. Don’t know how I’m gonna fix this but what can I really do lol

One time I spilled water everywhere and it got on my phone. I took the case off, dried it as best I could. When I plugged in it to test if it still was okay, I got that warning. I just left it in front of a fan for about 1-2 hours and it still works now :)
Yeah, even drying the phone to a usable state doesn't mean all the liquid is gone from the charging port and speakers
@@sodiboo Well that was last year and it still works fine but I guess it depends sometimes. I dried it off as soon as the water got on it, so that might've helped.
Oh Also the speakers you can get water out by a Siri shortcut it’s called water eject

This literally happened to me last night (I’m stupid so I tried forcing it but then I got my wireless charged because it didn’t work)
yoo I recommend silica gel packets, you know those things you get in the bottom of packaging? They are meant to dry out the air and water so, just lock your phone in a container with the packets for a few hours
I’ve gotten a fair share of warning messages before, but never this one…
Wireless charge still works when charging pins damp. Dries out quicker too 🙃

i had this happen, didn’t have either of those things on hand because i was out, but what worked for me was an hour or two in the sun to dry, and then i played some really high frequency sounds to get the water out. didn’t have much faith, but it worked so

I do construction work and use to get sawdust in my charger port. The dust would hold moisture and giving that msg even when we had high humidity. After a good clean it would work again.
Light taps to remove majority of water and a small strips of paper to get small drops.
Repeat using the strips until it's dry.
Works every time.

Also if u see that fire emoji message called (Cause Out The Fire Google Is Dying) it doesent allow u to connect any for the google dentent or apps or any games or dropping and the fire emoji is in a warning to give dentention of the fire cause
For android the same is u can shake the phone gently 5-10 times and leave it for some time after drying the whole thing with a cloth u can dry with a hair dryer but attempt not to heat the phone too much and leave it for a while but if Ur port is dry and it does it again later u can delete usb cache

When I had that before it was just ez get a fan or blow dryer and let it blow where ur charger at then let it sit for 4-9 minutes then you will be done don't go to any fix places or nun just dry it off WHITH a fan or ablow dryer
Don’t use a HairDry, I used it before and it managed to turn my screen all black eventually the phone cooled and the back disappeared but some smaller pixels are still burnt to this day. If your using HairDrier make sure it’s on the cooler settings.

I fix iPhones too and I have a iPhone XR that I bought broken and I fixed it but sometimes it will say there’s water in the port when there isn’t any but it’s not a big issue i got this iPhone super cheap

You could use a shortcut called water eject and it’s very cool ability that an iPhone can do if you ever get water in your phone
This literally happened to me a couple days ago with my galaxy a52s 5g. Nothing we did could stop the message so we had to send it to samsung to get a new charging port. Luckily it's covered under warranty

I've gotten this warning on a completely dry phone. No water no moisture in the air either. No idea what caused but a few hours later it went away.
My 12 pro max came up with that message and it’s never fallen into water at all. I’m pretty sure just condensation whilst on the phone talking triggers this too
This happened to me on my IPhone 13 pro max n I forced charged it as I had no water near my phone. So this worried me a bit. But thankfully still works perfectly. But does this mean the iPhone is now water damaged n the water damage tags will now be red?

My iPhone 7 fell into the bath while plugged in when I fell asleep after a long shift at work and when I woke up around 2 hours later with it under my thigh it was absolutely fine lol

Hairdryer is a no no, you would most likely fuck up the OLED, l would recommend a vacuum for that application

Heres something you can do so my phone got water inside andd has no battery soo I turned it on charged it and clicked the off button then wait for it to have some battery then its good as new!

I did it with a hairdryer once I let it 3 minutes it worked charging again
I always use a wireles charger to fix it 1 it charges 2 it gets warmer and speeds up the dryin progres
If you can, just use wireless charging if you really need to charge until the port is dry
