  • Even during intense polarization, there’s a deep-seated, shared commitment to educational opportunity. The challenge is to find models that can win broad support and deliver results. Arguably, no one has worked more diligently at that over the past three decades than Geoffrey Canada, the architect of the famed Harlem Children’s Zone, the inspiration for Promise Neighborhoods, and the founder of the William Julius Wilson Institute.
What does it take to drive community-wide efforts to expand educational opportunity? Is this work still possible given today’s social and political landscape? Join Mr. Canada and AEI’s Frederick M. Hess as they discuss these issues and more.
