Just another reason why I hate CSX. 11:28 The truss is just sitting in the weeds waiting to be scrapped, nothing to be salvaged off of it. Perfect time to cut the signal heads off.
Sad to see these soldiers come down 😭 The ones in buffalo are gone as well,But there are a few still remaining up by Lockport road. But those will soon be replaced also. Along With a Few mast signals.
Nice Video! It really stinks for me because this is the section of the mainline were I shoot a majority of my videos. I was not able to see the bridges come down but I was able to see them pack the 382E and 378 bridge into the truck to be hauled to Batavia. Were you able to get anything from the bridges?
good video but its disappointing seeing the old ones being taken down. At least I have a story to tell. do you know if there going farther west by like milepost 386-387 area I usually watch trains there a lot of the time.
My brother is an Ironworker and worked on that job. He has the lights. They're going to their new home in Jacksonville, Florida.
Yes they are. Now, should I leave them the way they are or restore them?
Rust never sleeps brother. I would restore them.
So weird seeing such antique, beautiful fixtures juxtaposed with modern locomotives and their cars. Thank you for recording this!
Thank you for documentation of history

+DieselElevators It's not CSX's doings. Other railroads do that same thing...
+santoro2020 Yes but right now CSX is the one at fault getting rid of old NYC history.
+DieselElevators No, it's not. You can blame Congress for PTC. NS just did a major cutoff in Cleveland with NYC signals.
+santoro2020 Well, some of us know and care more about history than others.
+DieselElevators That's a very lovely statement, I don't know what you're trying to say.

Out With The Old .. In With The new ?

I would hat all the signals from the bridge, just go in the middle of the night with some wrenches and wire cutters.
I hope he did because I would rather see a rail fan have the signals rather than the scrapper or I would've like them
I would have asked for at least 1 sign from it , any real railroad Man would understand .

They're going all the way to Buffalo
