Nicola Porpora, uno dei massimi rappresentanti dell'inarrivabile scuola musicale partenopea, ci regala questa strepitosa Salve Regina. Ricordiamoci che Porpora nel suo soggiorno londinese "distrusse" musicalmente parlando un certo Haendel! Fu anche insegnante di Haydn per non farsi mancare nulla! Il Maestro Antonio Puccio, grandissimo esperto e studioso di musica barocca, dirige in modo superlativo una ensemble fantastica che fornisce un supporto magistrale alla Castellano, mezzosoprano che con la sua interpretazione avrebbe reso più che soddisfatto il divino Porpora!
Musica bella,affascinante,ma sempre sacra!grazie a voi e al maestro che ci lietate di questa magnificienza!!!!

Bardzo piękne wykonanie tego utworu. Zarówno orkiestra, Loriana Castellano i dyrygent Antonio Puccio doskonale współpracują. Wolno tempo tego utworu jest jak najbardziej uzasadnione przecież to modlitwa. Doskonale Antonio Puccio wydobył z tego mezzosopranu to co najlepsze. Bardzo dobra dykcja Castellano to rzecz bardzo cenna, kiedy śpiewa się nabożny tekst po łacinie. Słuchałam tego utworu w wykonaniu Delphine Galou i Sonia Prina są w zbyt szybkim tempie i słowa nie są dobrze artykułowane.

I thought the same also. Her tops are great. I did not think she shined until the upper note. Perhaps the piece does not suit her range in the lows? It seems more suited for altos and counter-tenors?
Unfortunately, this is not for her at all. I will go listen to some of her work though.
