***** Sorry but with a clamping company if you can take off the clamp without damaging it in anyway you haven't done anything "illegal" so as long as he hasn't damaged or stolen the equipment he hasn't done anything illegal.
But if you did that you would be talking it from where I had it which is stealing! And did he agree to have it installed on his property in the first place no, so if i came to your house without your permission and put up a new light outside your window youd be quick enough to want rid of it, just some people actually take action!
Its like if they did put a new light in outside your house but directly used your power and billed you for it, im sure you would be delighted with that!
Ok and the Council get there funding to do that how?? Oh yeah taxes, and who pays the taxes?? Normal people like himself so I think we do have a bit of a say in what goes on!
I completly agree with Alan, he is right, it is obscene to be charging for water (twice - we have been paying for many years through general taxes) in Ireland. We have no water shortage problems.
everbody do exactly everything alan does up to 3.20. take the water meter and blow hard into the bottom part and the numbers on the dial will go backwards. this is not a joke or get a pump for an airbed or bouncy castle and attach it to the bottom the black part of the meter and the dial will go backwards. blow it back to 1000 litres every week and it will appear you are using not as much water as you realy are. this is not a joke
I’m from the USA I’m surprised you have just got water meters in Ireland. I am a contractor that works for municipalities here in the US and meters are a lot more difficult for a homeowner to remove but not impossible it rarely happens. Meters are really good for finding leaks on a homeowners pipe unfortunately we don’t have a way to do it on the city’s side but hope it bubbles up. Water is inexpensive here the biggest expense is natural gas if you live in cold climate and electric if you live in hot climate. If you have free water in Ireland in 2020 fight to keep as long as possible because once you have those meters in every house that’s it.
Well done GOD BLESS the Irish people. The only people with the balls to stand up against their state and not live as the salaves of the state, like the people of Britain with no backbone. No wonder this great little country is a REPUBLIC.

on tv they tell us that just £5 can give enough water to supply hundreds of Africans but in ireland we have to pay hundreds for the same shit. we should use the African supplier
Where did he get the "implement" as he calls it which he puts the rubber ring on and screws onto the hole where the meter was?. The little white plastic bit?
I live in los angeles and we are only allowed to water our plants 1 day a week. If we do, or have a leaking lawn sprinkler, we could be fined $600 USD for second offense. Also I have a monthly water bills averaging $100 USD. Free water has never existed here in my lifetime.
Well done, Alan. It's outrageous to introduce water charges in Ireland. I'd say, though, that even though that procedure might seem simple to you, it will be beyond the skills of most people (especially the specs of those improvised tools made by your friend). hey, does anyone know what this kind of meter is? im looking for the type of valve or type of key that blue key is. i got a meter like this unfortunately and its so stiff that i cant turn that blue key. wondering if there is a name of the valve so i can maybe find a metal key for it or any tips on how to open it? thanks!!
Can you do this with gas / and electric pre-pay meters. is there a switch you can turn off some how, Iv been asking them to remove them as they were in when I moved, but they said £500, but you pay an extra 40% per year for these meters to be on your property.

Again my question is this. Where did you get the white plastic nut with the washer. I have asked this under similar videos and nobody answers me.
Why not just take a screen shot and ask your DIY shop ?
That plastic plug you put in instead of your meter, what is that and where did you get it?
Where did you get that white cap that you put the rubber ring on to take the place of the water meter ?. Was it already on the meter ?.
Where did he get it??
They're also adding fluoride to the drinking water without our consent.
