Netravalkar was stupendous as the USA defeated Pakistan in their very first meeting in the T20Is. The left-arm pacer held his nerves under pressure and showed what he is capable of.

It is just commendable how he has been able to strike a balance between highest level of cricket and his job. Oracle is a tough nut to crack. He has been promoted a couple of times at his job as well over the last few years (Linkedin) and all this while he has been captaining the US side also. This speaks volumes about his work ethic, discipline, grasping ability and intelligence. Truly motivational.

Coz Saurabh has a decent job in US as software engineer and not to mention life in US is much better with less pollution less population, better facilities on day to day etc Only healthcare is expensive but for really expensive surgeries etc he can always plan to go to India to reduce the cost etc.

He is an ideal lesson learnt for numerous civil services aspirants in india who sacrifice their lives to compete for a mere few seats. We all deserve a Plan B & if you work hard you can make Plan B to excel as much as Plan A..maybe more.What a story & what an inspiration..& what a humble down to earth guy!!!
Many choose civil service after few years of working in top MNC in foreign countries. In recent years there are many examples of that. I personally never had that kinda interest in civil service and I am not a passout from IIT or IIM which most of them are so I don't know what's going on but there is definitely sth bcz they have the feedback from other colleagues doing it and still choosing it.
Let me elaborate why The trend of govt. Job is relevant
Firstly its a permanent govt. job, which is more important for person in Indian socio economical condition. A sense of security for people who come from predominantly very modest and nominal backgrounds.
In USA, its comparative easy for a full time job holder in a private sector to find time for other things in life because of the basic needs having already fulfilled. Also, USA has strong labour rights, so companies cannot make employees overwork.
In India, a private sector employee cant even think of doing something else other than his job because of the Long hours of working, let alone playing a sport.
So, Govt. Jobs with handful of seats becomes the only way out for the crores of people to sustain their lives and they do it without even having Plan B because there is no sense of social security in other sectors.
If the scenario is to get changed, then You have to make strong employee rights just like USA where they offer good time for the Weekends.

He left that as it was not working anymore for him and moved to a plan b . At that time he did not plan to play cricket anymore. He himself admitted that in the interview. The 2nd innings in US as a cricketer was a mere GOD’s plan. The main essence of my comment was that in life sometimes Plan A does not work. We must have a Plan B then.
