      @@FiveHungryTravelers thank you i didnt know you had to reserve a spot for the waterpark. and the video was done very naturally with the kids and how you asked which slide he liked the best. very informative saves viewers like me a lot of time. thank you more like a splash park water park is a bit misleading

      @@williambo5989 right! LEGOLAND has been careful to call it a “Water Playground” and correct anyone who calls it a Water Park. They don’t want anyone to be disappointed. And as long as you know what to expect it’s far from disappointing. A fun time once you know the details. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for showing the waterpark area. Do you think it was worthwhile for only 20 minutes of play? Thinking we might skip this part and just go with water rides and head to the pool afterwards.

      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому

      Good question! If it had been any more hassle than it was, probably not. But it was pretty easy once a grown up did the reservation bit. It is a nice relief from the heat of the direct sun so maybe decide based on the forecasted temps for the day you visit. Have fun!

      It’s also worth saying - our kids generally like to do the various playground-like areas around the park, but we focused on this in place of those stops on this trip - which was nice since we could cool off as we were doing it.

    After going to the waterpark in Florida's park, this looks SUPER disappointing. Wow. And only 20 minutes of playtime??? What the heck.
    Maybe we'll just stick to the pool at the hotel.

      It’s definitely a splash area, not a full-on water park! I suspect there’s a good chance they change the time limit once things slow down, but it’s such a small area i can see why it was necessary at first. I hope you have a good time!

    Is the water playground area included in the legoland admission cost or additional $?

    • @nickfromfivehungrytraveler2955

      It’s included!

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому

      Yes, it’s within the theme park and included with regular admission! They just use a reservation to control crowds since the space is rather small (it’s not a full-on water park. But a lot of fun!)

    Can you reserve more than once?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому

      You can! But you can’t reserve your next spot until you’ve scanned your existing reservation. I kind of go into more detail at the 6:17 mark but, we had reservations at 10:30 and 11:30 with a gap in between where we rode some water rides and played at the boat building water table. Some folks have said if there’s no wait for the next group they were allowed to stay and play longer. And others said that they were able to have one adult book their first reservation and another adult book the second one so they could try to get back-to-back times. Something you could try!

    Hey! how do you make areservation at Legoland?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  11 місяців тому

      It’s on the Reserve N Ride website (which you can get to from within the app when you first open it - scroll all the way down) - and it opens before the park does, so we reserved from home.
      Once on-site, the easiest way is to look for the Water Playground pop up banners placed all over the park. They have QR codes that take you right to the website. Then when it’s your time to enter they’ll scan your reservation on the webpage, so keep it open if you can. Hint: we had 2 different adults in our group make reservations so we had 2 scheduled times without having to wait for the first time to be scanned. If you just have one adult doing the bookings they can reserve a second time as soon as you scan to enter the water playground for your first reservation.

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Місяць тому +1

      That was true last year and from everything we’ve heard it’ll probably be the case when the water playground opens later this month. But you can try to book a 2nd 20-minute session!

    How do they keep track of the 20 minutes?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому

      It is gated. Every 20 minutes they clear out everyone and then let a new shift of guests in from the line. 😬

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому +1

      There’s a 10 minute “transition time” between 20 minute shifts. So you’ll have a reservation that starts on the hour or half hour and they’ll start to send everyone out at the :20 minute point. I hope that makes sense!

      That’s what a lot of feedback has been. It’s possible they’ll decide on another length of play-session as they work through the best way to manage crowds in the new space, but for the time being it’s 20 minutes.
