    Wow! So much negativity in these comments. If you aren’t into EVs then maybe just move on? I think it’s a great solution for EV-owning homeowners parking on the street. Remains to be seen if underground wiring to the street from my electrical panel is feasible.

    This would even be nice to put by my driveway 🤔

    Bring your own cable like in the EU

    Your example street here looks like a lovely place to live, and it's great to have such an unobtrusive and good-looking charging solution. It's interesting to reflect on the fact that we accept older ugly infrastructure, like the utility poles and overhead wires, without a second thought, but when something new is to be added, we hold it to a higher standard. Sort of like how we accept the 500 daily internal combustion engine vehicle fires in the US, but find EV fires unacceptable, even when they occur at a much lower rate. That upward creep in standards make the job of an engineer harder, but can also make the world a better place.

    I guess you know your videos are successfully expanding their reach when you start getting random ill-informed anti EV comments. Don't let them get you down and keep going on making this nice solution.

      I’ve noticed that. The initial comments tend to be more favorable. And thank you!

    You should give ideas or plans on getting conduit under cement. My gardener did it with plastic pipe and used water to drill hole

    The cable is still going to be there, laying in the street, while there's cars there.
    And who wants to carry that sort of cable on an e-bike?

    Whatre the amps its pushing in that lil thing. Only concern I see is cramped wiring and during dispatch overheating which will mess with your boards but its cool lookin

    Ok this could either be really fun to watch or interesting to do as well but if this goes like how everything else goes you can sell that for the price you desire to a 3rd party distribution or sell it at severely reduced material and have either a really high productivity ooo nvm I'm rambling

    Gonna be a very technical way to put them by the street because now you’re on city right away people don’t own the property right next to the road usually around 5 to 15 feet off the edge of the curb is owned by city or county yes they allow mailboxes but when it comes to utilities like power , water , gas it’s a major ordeal

      You're often responsible for the sidewalk in the US.
      On my street, utility boxes can be in the right of way, but all other structures have to be temporary.

    You are placing the chargers in a municipal right of way which requires special permitting plus you need electrical permits. Put enough of them on the same transmission circuit and you will screw up the entire electrical supply to the neighborhood. There is also the problem of "Approved Appliance" certification. You may be placing the homeowner, and the company that installs them in a very grave liability situation.

    • @CrissaKentavr
      @CrissaKentavr Місяць тому

      What you can build in the right of way varies by locality, and the permitting is usually no more onerous than any other.
      It's an outlet, not an appliance. No different than an outlet for a space heater.

    • @CrissaKentavr
      @CrissaKentavr Місяць тому +1

      Cars don't charge during peak power usage, because they're batteries that charge when we're not using them. So it's irrelevant to the grid load.

    • @CrissaKentavr
      @CrissaKentavr Місяць тому

      @@3vlogs487 It would cost about $25 at my place, but our costs are twice the average. Yours is clearly less than half the average... But offpeak energy price in the US goes from 2¢ a kWh to 60¢.

    EV’s are a scam!

    • @BrianShiitakeOfficial
      @BrianShiitakeOfficial 25 днів тому +1

      Ignorant statement.
      I grew up racing cars for my entire childhood.
      I choose to drive a model 3 for my daily.
      Why?
      - It drives itself everywhere I go
      - Don't need to stop to get fuel or charge ever
      - Quickest car I have owned
      - Incredible design
      - Constantly improves via update
      - Next to no maintenance
      - Service network that is not designed to rip off consumers
      EVs are not for everyone, but they are most certainly not a scam!
      Cheers.

    Or..
    Stop creating laws against the incredibly efficient FUEL powered cars we already have! Just check into the mechanical mindlessness of making a manual transmission more complicated to fit the stringent regulations, making less and less appear each year. Nobody wants battery powered. Nobody.
