This shows up after watching a bunch of Tsunami videos in Japan... conpare to them, yeah it's cute like "Mini tsunami" and this video is kinda cool. but really, next time if you are by the ocean when an earth quake happens, you'd better run to a hill...
This is literally what 90% of tsunamis look like. I live in an unlucky area of Alaska and I've experienced 3 tsunamis. The worst was the 2011 Japan tsunami and it didn't even reach the road right next to the sea, it just damaged the boat dock.
There was an earthquake in Lombok with a magnitude of 6.4 which was strong enough to be felt near Denpasar, Bali. This would definitely explain why the ocean is acting this way.
Yeah this is my video and we felt that too we were moved to a different building in the resort and the top floor (4th) and was there 4 days later for the 6.5 mag earthquake worst experience I've ever had and all in the space of a week but i love bali and will be back!

Pretty cool but there were no tsunamis reported. The only tsunami warning reported anywhere in the world was off the coast of. California and it was brief. In fact where you were had extremely rare high tides for that week and you tie that with large sets you get what you got.
Hey Kevin ur partially right but on that day 4 days before the first 6.5 earthquake there was an earthquake 194kms out to sea and thats what caused the big wave at 1.38sec still quite scarey stuff and it flooded our building so we had to be moved also we were there for the 6.5 but not the 7 thankfully we got home the day before that quake :)
@@hectora7479 There was a earthquake in Lombok of a 6.4 to 6.5 in magnitude, which could be felt in Bali, this is why the ocean was like this. Tsunami's don't need to be over 10 meters in height all the time.
These are normal strong waves typically found in the shores of an open sea, and not gulfs. Take Nazaré (Portugal) for instance, where the waves reach 30 metres in height. A tsunami is an immensely width wave, so straight that seems to be made with a drawing ruler.
