Orange Blossom Mmmmk...keep thinking that. If you’re ignorant and try to pass your illogical ignorance to your children about why they shouldn’t date a specific race, the children will begin to wonder what’s so bad about it and look for the good in what’s forbidden. I’m 20, only been out of high school for 2 years now, and all the girls whose dad’s told them not to date black guys are now BATHING in chocolate 😂💀
YES 😅 My mother-in-law only wanted her kids to date other Iranian people and always put down Asians, whites, Africans, etc. Well I'm white, my sister-in-law's hubby is Ethiopian and my brother-in-law is engaged to a Korean girl 😅😂
Facts! I dated Asians and their families were straight up like nope! Shes not one of us. And tbh it creates so many issues in the relationship. Wish more families were open minded.
But from her mother's own mouth she was raised that way but has never raised her children that way. So Jeannie wouldn't have anything to "keep real." Not just asians but many cultures were the same way as the generations goes back. So I'm sure all of them would have a story or two to tell from maybe their grandparents points of view and further back.
@@zora99ny As much as I'm starting not to like Loni, I won't rejoice in someone being let go but I do hope she moves on to whatever she actually wants to do. I think she's getting ready to leave for her late night talk show or something so she doesn't care anymore. I hope they'll replace her with someone younger like 20s to early 30s so we can get a fresh perspective on topics (especially the trendy/internet topics where you can tell the other hosts have no idea what they're talking about).

Black Women should raise their Sons to honor and respect the hard work it takes to be with a Black Woman and be strong enough to raise Black Children, period!😣
I got what Tamera was saying seeing as how I’m the product of an interracial couple so how could my parents say who they wanted us to date/marry. I did not hear Mike Tyson’s original comments, but it seems as though he’s talking about what may have been done subliminally to lead his kids to date outside of their race or what not. That’s a whole other beast and I thank Jeannie for getting back to the topic. And we don’t need to just apply that to race, we can apply that to how parents, especially single parents, expose their kids to certain emotional baggage and turmoil. For example, my parents broke up when I was in my mid teens. Some of my siblings were grown, and me any my younger brother were still in the house. My father was still very present and my mother did not bring men home. Then I have friends who have mothers who had brought men who were unemployed, emotionally/physically abusive, etc. So guess what is now acceptable behavior in their minds, for a relationship. None of their mothers actually told them to get a man who doesn’t value employment, who mistreats you, who takes your car and you’re left asking friends for rides home from work. But because that was shown to them as acceptable, that’s what it is.
My mom always tells me to be with whoever makes me happy no matter what gender or race they are. My happiness is all I care about, forget what others want because I have to live my life with the choices I make.

That is a crazy question. I have always been attracted mainly to white guys. My parents just had to understand it. They never said i could not date so and so. not ever not one time. It freaks me out when people tell their kids that. ugh.
Some people have a deep hatred for their own race and therefore dare outside it. And sometimes if your personal experience with a race is bad you may chase validity from them due to rejection. They’re removing the psychology behind it
Katie L not everyone dates out of their race because they hate themselves. People date who they like and not everyone seeks a specific race, they just find love in someone that so happens to be a different race.
This is the conversation that everyone is missing. Everyones talking about it's okay to date outside of your race, and it is, but that's not what Mike was talking about at all. He was blaming himself for his daughters specifically not finding black men, (and women when it comes to his son) attractive. I'm perfectly fine with people dating outside their race but it seems like absolutely no one wants to address that there's a self-hate factor to some people who choose interracial dating as well.
I don't know about race but my parents prefer I only date within my nationality. It's really not in a discriminatory way. They are just protective and want someone who shares the same culture, mentality, etc. I understand both sides though.
A lot of people are not understanding the question. Yes people should be able to date outside of their race, everybody watching the real would agree on that. The question is do personal experiences with your fathers make you feel a certain way about men of that same race. For example. If you have a black mother and a white father, and your white father beat your black mother how would that make you feel about white men in those formative years? If you came from a black family and you noticed all of the black women in your family had children with deadbeat black men how would that make you feel about black men? If you had a white mother and a hispanic father, and your father was always there for you, worked hard and gave you a good childhood, how would that make you feel about Hispanic men?
It’s a lot harder for a lot of Indians to date outside there race, especially for women. The idea of being disowned scares them away from dating outside there race.
Native Americans are pressured to only date within the same race only because the blood quantity. Dating outside the race makes people talk about you not directly but behind your back. I’ve seen this before and it’s so true.
It's really sad when it's seen as a "what did I do wrong as a parent that they don't date inside their own race (as a black child)" when it's simply the character and personality. There's nothing wrong with dating interracially, and it should not be looked at as odd. Love is love. Period.
but I can tell you growing up as a black man I have been traumatized by black women and at 38 years old it would be very hard for a black woman to bypass all the trauma and barriers I have set up for her getting into my life. 80% of black women are already excluded due to obesity on top of that single mothers and masculine energy. also women like Amanda seals and the fat one on here is definitely excluded.
But,It may be that because his kids may have been raised in an affluent lifestyle that they have gravitated to what they were raised around.Ive noticed that many time blacks that become rich send there children to private schools and schools with other privileged white kids and that’s who they are around and that’s who they tend to date.It may not have anything to do with him.
Me and my family are Puerto Rican and it’s not that my parents are against me and my siblings dating outside of our ethnicity but they prefer for us to date someone who is hispanic, preferably Puerto Rican. My oldest sister is 31 and she’s married to a Puerto Rican man, they have 2 kids My older sister is 28, she had a kid with a black man and is now married to an Ecuadorian man and they just had a baby a month ago I’m 24 and all of my ex’s are black. I’m currently engaged to a Cuban man My brother is 20 and all of his ex’s have been white but he wants to marry a Puerto Rican woman. Does Loni even like that the producers added Amanda to the show? Loni's facially expressions every time Amanda opens her mouth, makes me ask this question.
As a kid, I did witness my dad date diverse racial groups. My dad never talked negatively about other ethnic groups. I too dated outside my race. I dated Greek, Pakistanis, French, Indian, Black men, White men, most African countries including Egyptian and Ethiopian, Jamaicans, and more!! My latest boyfriend is Mexican! I love my black men!! Especially a dark skin man with a beautiful smile!!Nonetheless, now as an adult I don’t care about race. I date who I feel connected with!! I love all God’s people. The world is full of beautiful people! I am no longer influenced today by what I saw growing up, because I’m grown!!
My great great grandparents were Japanese and they moved to Brazil. Ever since that happened they never allowed any of their children to marry “gaijin” (it’s how they used to call any non-Japanese people) And that tradition only broke with me (5th generation) because my parents decided to raise me teaching me that I should marry whoever I want to, regardless with they are Japanese or not
Im black and im married to a mexican we have 3 mix children together my mom wanted me to marry only in my race but i told her thats not what i like yes i dated black men but i was not feeling them.
Jeannie actually has an approach to this! I liked that she actually understood what was being discussed! Everyone just wanted to be liked and Amanda did great.. backing her up.
My mom is from Mexico and a lot of her family still lives there. I am half black half Mexican and her dad doesn’t even talk to her because of us. And we are lighter than he is. However my mom didn’t raise me to love a certain race more, my mom actually says that she has a hard time dating Mexicans because it’s like dating her brother. My current boyfriend of 2 years is Mexican so to me this makes no sense. Maybe it’s because the ladies of the real are old. I do know it still happens especially in the Mexican community
If anyone looks at their parents and thinks that an entire race is reflective of their parents and that they should date elsewhere they have issues. It’s not that hard to figure out that people are individuals and not every member of a parent’s race holds the same values or personality as the parent does.
It all depends on how well your experience is with all races and not just your own. I sadly have a bad experience with my own race, that is why my own personal preference since forever has been to date And also marry out side my race.
@ Very true sadly but people shouldn't care about the backlash they get . It's that person's life . Not the people who are doing the backlashing . And most times when there is negativity being thrown to the one dating outside their race it is jealousy or hate ...
y'all tell ppl to date whoever u want yet mad when a black man dates a non black women but gives props when a white man dates a woman of color(especially a black woman)🙄
Date who you want.. but let’s not act like a lot of black males are not colorist and self hating. All we ask is for you to not bash black women. That’s it and that’s all.
Well for most black people it’s about being comfortable and it’s hard getting to know people even harder when they don’t share the same morals or principals like it’s like going to a black church then going to a white church we don’t feel comfortable at a white church most of the time
I think the reasoning behind wanting to date within your race is for understandment its not the same when you date a white guy and your indian they have different things they do withing their culture and the partner may not understand those things js i get it from tht perspective but date whoever you want
No and yes, No sometimes love bits you and you fall and that person is shades different than what you love is love. Yes. If they taught hate and fear of a certain group of women or men.
My offspring will be stayin within their race. U gotta show ur kids to love themselves so they can love others who look like them. #blacklove is better❣❣🇬🇲😁
I feel like people are answering the question and commenting as if the question was the other way around, as if the question was : are parents responsible when their child grows up being afraid or not interested in dating outside of their race and only aim to date within their race ? However that is not the question, the correct initial question is : " Are parents responsible when their child grows up to only want to date other races and never their own race ? Basically is it the parents' fault when a child grows up to completely reject people who look like them and only desire people outside of their own race ??? People are not addressing the actual question and it is very frustrating !!!!
does anyone else feel like they talk about race a lot more since amanda became a permanent member of the table... also loni's getting on my nerves lately
I'd dated outside my race we were together 6 years but unfortunately we parted ways. My son is teenager I am teaching him no matter what color u are when u are adult u can date whoever long as they respect you ect don't ever judge book by its cover. Bc u don't know what on the other side we are all same blood...
Everyone miss what this was about. It’s not about being told what race to date. It was about can certain behavior your parents have lead you away from dating a certain race. The example was Mike Tyson saying thing he did made his daughter not want to date a black man.
Yes asians are the main culture that tells their kids to marry their race only but as new generations, we grew wiser and love comes and many different colors so we cant stay within our race if our soul mate isnt. I mean like, it's completely ok to marry outside your race. I really wish I had but I never had luck with any guy outside my race so too late now for me but I've always wanted to date outside my race. Just wasnt lucky enough to. Lolz
As a mixed kid i was able to look at both sides and deduce to not date either one of them. However half my family was also against me dating certain males based on color and the other showed me how that was wrong.
I agreed with lonie on some culture decide for their children .but the reality is whatever race you are ,you are God creatures, no one is perfect ,i teach my kids to learn to be independent, otherwise when they gonna be grown, they could take care themselves without depend on someone, stay out of drugs and learn to save because you never know how the future would be.
Jeannie Mai, why didn’t you speak up? You know damn well Mama Mai had something against you dating your black rapper boyfriend! Also I bet her whole family especially her mom’s side and friends talk crap about them being together. Keep it real Jeannie!
Definitely not. It's up to that man/woman and family should support the choices that their kids make. BTW, if you like Lifestyle/Travel vlogs, stop by my channel! I will be doing a giveaway tomorrow in celebration of my first video (will be uploading tomorrow morning)!
Desi people are usually only allowed to marry within their culture and social status. I hope they will add an Arab or Desi woman soon to this table. There is not enough representation of my people on television yet.
Amanda sis, I love you, don’t drag me but girl we need you to eat these looks up like the other 4. It’s week 2 sis, where your wig collection at? The ponytails ain’t doing it no more
It’s not parents that make kids date out, it’s their peers and the media, mostly peers. I’m a black man and I could never vibe well with black women (my age) until I was 20. I mostly blame that on the area I grew up around.
Why do people always have to be so negative about what others say or think? Everyone has an opinion, and everybody is not going to always think the same way.
Mike Carter agree 100% that’s why I uplift my brothers that are fully black uplift my man that is black and my son and try to encourage others to do the same black men are amazing and have it so hard they need a queen to put them on a pedestal
y'all see how they photoshopped amanda into the group picture at the end lmaooooo, i have nothing aginst her i actaully really like her as a host but god whoever edited that
I’m Pakistani and this topic absolutely did not cover the reality that this exists. I am raised to be with my own race/religion - and it absolutely does impact my mindset because even if they are a bit more open now I still deviate to my race because that’s how I am raised. And NO that isn’t always a bad thing idk why these people think it’s bad to marry within your race!
I feel it’s dumb for some to ppl to stop dating black men bc you had bad relationships with some of them bc not all black men are cheaters just like some black men cheat guess what there are white, Asian, Hispanic and etc that cheat. I love love me some black men and it’s not just because I’m a black women I just love black men
I mean, if I’m real, I was told not to date certain races, certain white races I should stay away from and certain black races I should stay away from. I don’t think it’s there parent’s responsibility, it’s the child as an individual alone to decide who they want to date. I personally believe as a parent, parents absolutely have a right to influence their child’s preferences but at the end of the day what their child is going to, and should go after what they are attracted to.
Love is a feeling love is a emotion. Love is not a SKIN tone. Love is not a Race. There is a lot of ignorance with the older generation in who to date and why. You fall in love with someone’s personality, with how they treat you, with there being itself. Not there skin or race.
I dont understand we connect with a person as a whole not just the colour of their skin. I date who i am attracted to regardless of the colour of their skin
They didnt reall answer anything but Loni did. Realistically, asian parents are the ones who are more concerned about their children dating interaically. They dont even want it to be just another asian, they want the same nationality and language speaker. Hispanic parents are more open than asians but they prefer that if their child date interracial, its with a white person over a black. Blacks and whites are often the ones most open to other races but of course there are always those who dont support it. Usually if coming from southern parts of the US, thats where u are more likely to see the lack of support. I find that when it comes to foreign people, those are often the ones most against IR dating because they want to preserve the language and culture between families.
All I’m gonna say is this: if you stop your child from dating a certain race, i PROMISE YOU that is the ONLY race they will go after 😂
Erris True!
Not true lol

I don’t see color, if we can vibe, connect and have a good time together and most importantly you’re respectful. You’re good in my book.
Black Love 😌💕 Period!
Fancy Flower any kind of love, period!
@@Dolly351 nah black love 😘💕
Fancy Flower I’m team love whoever y’all want😘👌🏾
This show needs REAL topics ASAP.
It all depends on how well your experience is with all races and not just your own.
I sadly have a bad experience with my own race, that is why my own personal preference since forever has been to date And also marry out side my race.
It's a reason why you stay within your own culture
Amandas lipstick is so pretty
People should be able to date who you want period
@ Very true sadly but people shouldn't care about the backlash they get . It's that person's life . Not the people who are doing the backlashing . And most times when there is negativity being thrown to the one dating outside their race it is jealousy or hate ...
Mike Carter even same race relationships get backlash too
Amanda's presence is bringing out the shallowness of some of the panel members
Man I looove Amanda ❤️
Parents want to past down traditions and culture a like that they implemented in the family for generations seems pretty understandable
y'all tell ppl to date whoever u want yet mad when a black man dates a non black women but gives props when a white man dates a woman of color(especially a black woman)🙄
Date who you want.. but let’s not act like a lot of black males are not colorist and self hating. All we ask is for you to not bash black women. That’s it and that’s all.
Can someone explain me why Race is so thought about in the US ??
Well for most black people it’s about being comfortable and it’s hard getting to know people even harder when they don’t share the same morals or principals like it’s like going to a black church then going to a white church we don’t feel comfortable at a white church most of the time
I’M WITH AMANDA 😂
The middle one seems prejudice
@Kirsty Birsty oh ok. When they get on here and discuss black and white its disgusting. They sound prejudice..especially the one who is with jeezy.
I completely agree with Mike Tyson and I speak from personal experience
I think the reasoning behind wanting to date within your race is for understandment its not the same when you date a white guy and your indian they have different things they do withing their culture and the partner may not understand those things js i get it from tht perspective but date whoever you want
"MY FATHER IS WHACK AS HELL" LMAOOOOO
My parents would love me to date someone of my culture. But they would never put it on me to only date my people.
Love Adrienne’s boots !!
I'd dated outside my race we were together 6 years but unfortunately we parted ways. My son is teenager I am teaching him no matter what color u are when u are adult u can date whoever long as they respect you ect don't ever judge book by its cover. Bc u don't know what on the other side we are all same blood...
Bling under the table
@Javi Ruiz its a contest and there is a very expensive bag under the table which they asked everyone on insta to find ,it a whole thing you know.
Lolz
What I don't like is media forcing interracial dating on us. I see many black man white women couples on TV, nowadays. What's up with that?
As a mixed kid i was able to look at both sides and deduce to not date either one of them. However half my family was also against me dating certain males based on color and the other showed me how that was wrong.
I agreed with lonie on some culture decide for their children .but the reality is whatever race you are ,you are God creatures, no one is perfect ,i teach my kids to learn to be independent, otherwise when they gonna be grown, they could take care themselves without depend on someone, stay out of drugs and learn to save because you never know how the future would be.
I’m only dating within my race periodt! I can’t relate with any other race than my own!
Jeannie Mai, why didn’t you speak up? You know damn well Mama Mai had something against you dating your black rapper boyfriend! Also I bet her whole family especially her mom’s side and friends talk crap about them being together. Keep it real Jeannie!
Jeannie said let's answer the real question!!!
Seals is 100% on point here.
Definitely not. It's up to that man/woman and family should support the choices that their kids make.
BTW, if you like Lifestyle/Travel vlogs, stop by my channel! I will be doing a giveaway tomorrow in celebration of my first video (will be uploading tomorrow morning)!
This show needs to be cancelled , big waste of time and tons of recycled topics
Or, you could just not watch it and let the people who enjoy it continue to do so.
AGREE WITH AMANDA
Desi people are usually only allowed to marry within their culture and social status. I hope they will add an Arab or Desi woman soon to this table. There is not enough representation of my people on television yet.
Amanda sis, I love you, don’t drag me but girl we need you to eat these looks up like the other 4. It’s week 2 sis, where your wig collection at? The ponytails ain’t doing it no more
The ponytail looks fine on her.
My dads black and my moms Mexican but I’ve only ever dated black men as a preference
Mike Carter agree 100% that’s why I uplift my brothers that are fully black uplift my man that is black and my son and try to encourage others to do the same black men are amazing and have it so hard they need a queen to put them on a pedestal
@@cheyennegunn8561 (:
Loni real bothered...
I was told to only date and marry black men I
y'all see how they photoshopped amanda into the group picture at the end lmaooooo, i have nothing aginst her i actaully really like her as a host but god whoever edited that
Amanda has me dead lmfaoooo where can I find the full episode?
Titianna W can be have tattoos?
I’m Pakistani and this topic absolutely did not cover the reality that this exists. I am raised to be with my own race/religion - and it absolutely does impact my mindset because even if they are a bit more open now I still deviate to my race because that’s how I am raised. And NO that isn’t always a bad thing idk why these people think it’s bad to marry within your race!
It’s big in the south
I feel it’s dumb for some to ppl to stop dating black men bc you had bad relationships with some of them bc not all black men are cheaters just like some black men cheat guess what there are white, Asian, Hispanic and etc that cheat. I love love me some black men and it’s not just because I’m a black women I just love black men
My parents never told me who to date. They feel like that’s a personal decision and they are correct.
I’m black and live in a white neighborhood and currently attending howard university and Chile the black men here on campus are 😍👅👅
I had something I wanted to say about this segment but now I forget lol.
Dating outside of your culture and dating outside of your race are 2 different things Loni.
Thank you Jeannie! Lol
What difference does it makes? Date who makes u happy, treats u right & loves u no matter wat race. This world🤦🏽♀️
Us Somalis we don't marry out of our raceee
Why’d they add this new person? Now there’s too many people on the table
My momma don’t care who I date or what race . As long as they are good people and care about me and respectful and alll that
They didnt reall answer anything but Loni did.
