I hope the fireplace surrounds and that woodwork are going to be removed before the house comes down. There is a strong market for architectural salvage.
Yeah people love buying and reusing that type of stuff
Was thinking the same thing. That would look great brought back to its original grain
I know, right? So much beautiful wood still in that house, it would be such a waste to just plow it all down without trying to save some of it. They just don't make things like that anymore. These days, everything seems to be kind of minimalist contemporary and ordinary. Seems rare to see solid wood. If you want craftsmanship, it's going to cost more than most people can afford. It'd be a shame to waste such beautiful, quality work. It's hard when you love and appreciate such well made construction to hear or see it being torn down🥺😖😟 Id rather have a house like that, than the cheap cr@p they make today they charge top dollar for. Nothing special about any of it. I don't know, I guess I'm kind of a pushover for vintage things. There's a lot to like about them.
@@allisoncolby7851 Sad all these old homes are getting torn down. With the cost to buy a home these days, You would think people would want to fix these up. These older homes are also built better.
I was thinking the exact same thing
NEW Video! I Crawled under this abandoned house and made awesome discoveries!
I think it's a shame for such a beautiful old house to be torn down. The woodwork is gorgeous. Congrats on your silver dime and wheaties. Cool little lock pendant. 💖💯
It's a shame that they're going to tear down that beautiful house. It should be preserved!
I’m sure it’s expensive to fix up, the mantels in the trim work is available for sale I believe
SHUT UP GRUMPY VET - MIND YOUR BUSINESS.
@nuggetnoggin It probably is expensive. But, as insignificant as it might be, it's a part of America's architectural history. Call me "old fashioned", but I can't stand the "modern age".
I do hope they rescue those old mantels and trimwork, Michael, it's all so gorgeous! Awesome finds, congrats on the buffalo and the Merc!❤
I'm sure they will! I think the house is being slowly taken apart. Thanks for watching!
Marbles will be found in the ductwork your crawling around😂
They could be! Thanks for watching
in the ductwork MY crawing around??? Mine?
The floor caved in....
Your hunt today is one of my favorite kinds. Though I pretty much like all treasure hunts, I also like vintage things, and it seems the chances are better that you could not only find coins, but so many other things as well, especially in or around an older home like that one, with such beautiful craftsmanship! There would be no way I could leave such quality wood work behind, when they just dont make things like that anymore! That would a shame to waste quality like that.
What isn't a shame though, is that 1909 penny you found?! (And the silver!) What an amazing feeling it is to find such a rare coin! If its in good shape and of a specific variety and mint mark, that penny in particular, is worth a ton of money to collectors or at auction. What a find!! I love your videos. They're so much fun to see! Thanks so much for sharing all your adventures with us. I cant wait till the next one!👍😎~✋😊🏞️✨
Good to see you Michael, I don’t see your Grandpa anymore, is he ok? Gold Gold 🙏👍👋
Thank you! Yes, he is doing great! I'll post a video of him soon
Cool place for treasure hunting !
What an absolute shame to see that house come down.. Don’t know the circumstances, but can you just envision the life it had ?!?? Wow. I hope they salvage some of that character ❤️
I bet a lot stuff happened there years ago. Thanks for watching! I’ll keep you updated on the house
The paneling and fireplace mantels are really nice. Hopefully these will be saved.
The lack of silver makes me think someone has already hunted the yard, and didn't waste their time on the pennies.
Possible! They cherry picked the big silver. No way to cherry big the dimes
That lumber is valuable... Hope it gets harvested...Aged and diy... Hope they saved it....🙏🕊️
Awesome finds! That was a beautiful home. The woodwork was exquisite! Great job guys!
Thanks for watching!
Triple check that 1909 penny. Some are very valuable. Blessings!
I LOVED that mantel inside the house. I SURE HOPE someone saves it and some of that wood trim around the doors. AND I LOVED that the Dime was 1937! The year my Precious Momma was born. She has been gone now for almost 15 years.
Great hunt.
Thank you for watching!
Congrats on the Silver Nugget! You found some good stuff! I enjoy your yard hunts. God bless!
Thank you! More videos on the way!
I wish that someone was going to salvage the beautiful woodwork. I'm so sad to see what a beautiful home to be destroyed without removing all of the vintage fireplaces, shelving, vintage wall. I'm a history buff and it breaks my heart.
That 1909 is worth alot of money hope you keep it and research
Always check the concrete poured for the fireplace hearth. A lot of old houses have a coin buried in the concrete from when the house was built for good luck
Loved to have saved the fire mantles
Still time to do it im sure
The real treasure is the sawmill roughcut floor joist and full 4×6 ledger boards.😊❤
Probably so! Worth big bucks
Great video your excitement is contagious!
Yay! Thank you!
Our home was built in 1945. We redid some of the ductwork for the main floor and found lots of coins and marbles and small toys in the ductwork leading up to the floor registers
That is awesome!
I am51 and still searching our lords creations what a gift god bless you brother and the lord GL&HH
Thank you!
With all those coins, lunch is on the "Noggin".
Haha that's true! my .78 cents worth
Mike, another great video! Just like every video before this one. Thanks for sharing your hunt, and I look forward to it next one! It's cool to try to imagine the story behind each piece and how it got there.
Thank you for watching another video here on my channel! I plan on a sharing a really awesome video next week of a special detecting hunt with friends. Make sure to stay tuned
@@nuggetnoggin, awesome! No doubt it'll be a good one!
Save the fireplace!
I WOULD LOVE TO GET MY HANDS ON ALL THAT WOODWORK AND FIREPLACE.... A PERSON COULD MAKE SOME GOOD MONEY FOR THAT WOOD AND FIREPLACE... If I was physically able I'd love to rehome that woodwork in my own home that I haven't found yet somewhere in east Tennessee. Hoping to be moved down there before July God willing...
I hope the old fire places and paneling are salvaged.
I sure hope they are too
Sharon, please get a life. Thanks.
@@Al_Dente-d1p I have one. Thanks for your concern.
Love it all, especially the Mercury Dime!
Appreciate you watching until the end! Happy hunting
What a nice surprise on a early rainy evening!! Really enjoy your videos!! You have found some incredible items lately!! ❤
Glad you liked the video! More on the way!
Where's everyone watching from? comment below!

Wow that's amazing@@advenzures
Look for the VDB initials on the back of the 1909. I didn't see a mintmark of an S. IF it was a 1909 S VDB, it would be worth a lot.
Why demolish an obviously well built house
Cost way too much to fix up, probably 150k+ if not 300K, it's in really bad shape from water damage in other parts of house not shown, and there's few other houses on the same lot which are rented out. So more of a investment decision i guess.
I bet there's probably a 1/2 ounce of silver on the back side of that mirror the. Reflective surface.
Don't often share my secrets, but very often my brother and i would find gobbs of change in the vents and also in the wall cavity behind where the bathroom mirror was. Watch for razor blades there. I myself remember putting change in the heat vents when i was a youngster. Before i got old enough to figure out once you put it in, it ain't coming out.😊
Look between the mantelpiece and one of the curved supports it sits on. There may be an old coin placed there by the original builder of the house years ago. I was watching on my local PBS station about a guy who salvaged items from old houses before they were torn down. Things like decorative woodworking, brass doorknobs and hinges, even entire fireplace mantelpieces. He discovered that as an old custom that builders would do when building a house was to put a coin between the mantel and one of the supports it sits on, as a way of wishing good luck and fortune to whomever were to live in that house. He has even discovered gold coins along with silver coins in the fireplace mantelpieces that were valuable. I would love to see what's between those pieces of wood on that fireplace mantelpiece.
That 1909 penny check the tails side for VDB the designers initials. Makes the coin more valuable. The initials are on the bottom of the tails side. If they are not there then the coin is worth less money but still has value.
Good Lord I hope someone salvaged those fireplace surrounds.
I think they will get salvaged
Why Is it Guys You don't carry a Plastic jar, With water, Put coin in a shake it and Brush , It only has to be small 1.
It has some beautiful fireplaces with gorgeous wood. Such a shame.
I hope you kept that tooth, You said the ceiling were 10 feet or better, That tooth looks human. Go to a dentist, show him But don't let him Keep it.Show it and take it Back.
Under my front porch I found a elephant bell with bottles from the town bottle company watertown NY. True out that the house was the dump for years until the was to close the town .😊
It's to bad they don't try to save the beautiful wood work, or just let people come in and take all the lumber they can use .
The Salvage Dogs would have taken those mantles and most of the trim. Really sad I guess.
Wonderwhats in the walls?
That could be where the good stuff is at
Check out the 1909 penny. And see if it is a VDB.
If this house is as old as they are saying it is, then it has seen a lot of history. I can't help but wonder how many people have called this place home down thru the years.
London here Michael 👍😁
Thanks for watching from London!
When homes had character and class.
So true! Now they are basic and all white and grey. No character
Maybe you should look into doing architectural salvage as a side gig. The mantel and solid wood surrounds from this house would fetch a nice price. Lighting fixtures, tiles, you name it. Someone will pay for it!
That would be interesting!
LOVED this video! The mercury dime, the toy firetruck, the spoon, a gorgeous old house, and the handsome, sweet, Nugget Noggin. What more can an old lady ask for?! Take care, kiddo. ❤
Thank you!
Out in the yard, you found a coin, and there was actually a smaller coin in the same hole.
It’s sad to see these older houses being destroyed, but good hunting grounds 💯🤙
That andrew jackson coin is worth big money
How much did it cost for garrett to fix the broken control box on your at pro a couple years ago
Tears for fears was the ultimate band in the early 90 s
🎉Great finds Michael!!! Love watching your video's. Keep them coming!!! Love that old house. Love Hugs & Prayers

Many of us love collecting Lincoln cents. That 1909 could be worth thousands. (Well, hundreds anyway.) S, S VDB, and Philadelphia (no mint mark) VDB, are all very good finds that eclipse even some sillver dollars! I would love it if you would tell the dates and mint marks on the wheaties😊.
The 1909 was plan it didn’t have a mint mark. Most the others were very hard to see. Thanks for watching
The x2 cassette player can be worth a lot of money
How old is the house?
I mentioned it a few times in the video. It’s 1905
I am curious from New Zealand,
about what their lost money would have brought, just as a social context for their time.
I started saving NZ silver coins n currency i found from 1977, so i have a collection,
Back in the day the Buffalo nickel would of got you a bottle of coke , the dime could of been used for a trip to the movies I bet .
You should look behind the mantels, there's always cards or photos fall back there. I found stuff in back of our mantels we have a house built in 1841
I definitely need to do that!
I'd have taken those tape players
I'm not saying there is more silver there, but a dropped silver dime back in the day would be easier to see when dropped and picked back up verses a dropped wheat cent. IMHO.
That’s true
Thanks for sharing the house site Nugget! Like others have said here, I hope the owners repurpose the fireplaces and as much wood as they can! Take care! God bless!
Thanks for watching!
It's only over 125 years old that's it the house that I bought and renovated is 235 years old
I need to come crawl under that place then!
Beautiful woodwork in the house, hope it will be salvaged. Glad you found a piece of silver. Your smile is addictive.
Thank you for watching!
I often find wheat pennies in flower beds
I've had those days of 20 wheaties and no silver....and then next day out i find silver on the first dig target. It's strange like that.
Yeah it’s strange! Thanks for watching!
I'd be wearing a mask under there! There's no telling what sort of dust you'd be breathing in!
Good idea, the ventilation was pretty good though, lots of air blowing through there
You should save those fireplaces!!!😢
Would be cool. I don't have anywhere to put them. The owner might be selling them, i'm not sure
I’m worried if you can get in trouble doing what you’re doing cuz I want to do something like this
If you have permission you’ll be fine. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a wisdom tooth. Lol they yanked it out by candle light and it fell between the floorboards. Lol
Haha that’s crazy if it is wisdom teeth 🦷 😯
Hey what's up man I love your content you all put out amazing videos appreciate it a lot. I'm sure there's a lot of people that appreciate your content. Another great video Michael . I really enjoy your videos.
Glad you like them! More on the way!
I hope they save the fire places
All the best brother, best wishes from 9400ft in altitude in a old mining ghost town, congratulations on the house find, well deserved! #teamGarrett
Thank you! More videos on the way
My mother said there is a ledge up in the fireplace where they kept their money in the old days. She passed away at 88.
That’s crazy! Would be epic to find
Where are the treasures you found under the house. Sure hoodwinked me into watching.
No I didn’t. “Treasures” to me is a Buffalo nickel and relics from the past. Heck, when I do find gold coins or something rare people just claim it’s not real anyway. So I actually have amazing videos I’ll never post for that reason lol
that brass piece you're not sure of was used to hold the screen in on a storm door. Prob from the 50;s to the 70's
Very cool, thanks for the ID
As always nuggetnoggin great content are you coming over to the uk 2024
Thank you! Yes I’ll be over in the UK in 2024
Sad all these old homes are getting torn down. With the cost to buy a home these days, You would think people would want to fix these up. These older homes are also built better. Great finds Nugget!
What type of camera do you use to film your videos with... Oh do you use a tripod?
I use a GoPRO then my iPhone for any close ups of coins and finds. That's it, very simple. I have a tripod I setup to get shots
I think the golden dollar was minted 2008, nice finds, always love finding those mercs! Congrats on the buff! - Chad, Blue Creek Detectors
That’s really cool if it’s from 2008. Thanks for watching!
Wow what a pretty house that was.
Cow Tooth
Thanks for watching!
The black thing you didn’t know is an old clip to hold glass or a screen in a storm door.
That’s neat!
Was thinking of the same thing,..😂,.. no frozen ground
Haha not down here, it’s warmer
Normally...it's 4 to 5 wheaties for a silver...averaging. So...there's another silver coin out there you missed.
You would definitely think so! Or someone detected it years ago and got the big silver but left the wheats
@@nuggetnoggin I left all of old south dallas with nickels....could not hunt the trash. Funny thing is...one area i cleaned so well....i decided to try my luck on gold-nickel setting and got a rare 1886 V-nickel worth around $80. But even that would not change my mind in trashy areas.
Sad that those fireplaces couldn't be saved.
I'm sure they still can, it's not going to be tore down today.
I really appreciate you and your channel. God Bless.
💯 Thank you
That's awesome dude sweet finds nuggetnoggin a good adventure indeed
Thank you for watching!
A hard hat is important.
Wisconsin! Happy hunting!
I appreciate you watching!
@nuggetnoggin heck yeah man iv been watching your videos for a few years now, your awesome at what you do and thanks for all the great work and content you have provided us.
Did I see drapes/curtains still hanging?? The fireplaces & built-ins seem so pretty. I wonder why so much was left behind. It eveb looked like there was a sewing machine in one of the rooms behind you.
Copper pipe? That's worth $$$ where I live.
The house was lived in not long ago, and the new owner purchased it with a few other houses on the property. Lots of copper pipe under there if you took time to take it all out.
