    Great video.
I would like your help if you share the specification of this potentiometer.

Great project. Just one suggestion. Depending on where you take your measurements, the filament is likely to be soft. Have you determined what effect on the filament the rollers have in terms of diameter? Second, you might want to compare this to a simple digital micrometer measurement to compare.

filament sensor is way far away from where the filament is heated. It should be very solidified by the time it makes it to the sensor. The sensor sprint is only like 2 lbs of force anyways fully compressed.

@@TheGreenEngineers I had hoped that the sensor was involved in a tension balancing assembly between the extruder and the take up reel. ie Tension increases when the diameter is greater than spec and is reduced when the filament is the proper diameter. But in this case, the sensor would need to be close to the extruder

@@nitrousman8882 it is this kind of configuration. The sensor cannot be close to extruder otherwise filament will still be soft and give false reading.

Can you update the research link? It says "404 Page Not Found" Thank you for the great work!

Hy man! is there anyway I can get the name of the sensor and the code if it's not too much asked (it's for a school project) ? thanks

Unfortunately, this potentiometer has a life cycle of 500,000. So after you do 20-30 rolls of filament you might have to replace it. it's kind of expensive.
