MK fireworks tip: don’t worry about looking at it through your phone camera. There are some amazing videos of the fireworks on YT, enjoy the experience with your friends or family
Absolutely! They have much better equipment than a phone. I understand taking a quick pic or video, but recording the whole thing on a phone? No way I'm watching that.
That first time we stepped into MK, we were all floored at how surreal it all was. My daughter got instantly excited seeing the castle at the end of Main Street and my wife and I knew we were hooked lol
I miss Disney World, I used to go as a passholder long time ago, but ever since they decided to overcharge for everything and take away all the complementary items I stopped going Disney World should be ashamed of themselves, overcharging families, significantly price, gouging, it’s only for the rich people, it’s no longer for regular people like me I can’t believe how much it cost to go there you can’t even afford to buy a Coke. It’s control cost a fortune just to park your car if you can even afford a car, then you have to wait in line for two hours, I hope the part goes out of business. That’ll teach them price hikers
Thanks AJ! You've confirmed my park scheduling "Expert" status with this vid. We landed in WDW on April 27th and attacked Animal Kingdom Lodge that day where we were staying. 28th was Animal Kingdom and 29th was EPCOT with extended evening hours. 30th was a rest day at Springs followed by MK on May 1st with extended evening hours. Another day down on Thursday to recover and a full Friday, May 3rd at Hollywood Studios (the day before May the Fourth) which meant the place was DEAD and we conquered EVERYTHING twice! 173,000+ steps in 7 Days and 100.1 miles walked. We holiday HARD!!
My experience, though not super recent - if the parades and fireworks aren’t your priority, at least in that day, take the opportunity to go to the rides that generally have long rides during that time. We did the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves Mine Ride back to back with no line during the fireworks display (and still enjoyed some of the light show).
Congrats on 1M subscribers. Been a fan of your channel for several years. Watch it during the year as part of our preparation for our annual travels from DFW to the Disney bubble. Appreciate all the information and your passion for what you do for Disney parks fans.
I'm from Brazil, so its quite a long trip to get to Orlando. Me and my family we usually pick Epcot to start for several reasons. It's not the Magic Kingdom, it's a big park so in the first day of your trip you gonna be rested and it has a late fireworks show. We leave the Animal Kingdom for the second day, thirty day should be a rest day, then Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
This will be my third year in a row going to Disneyland in June for Father's Day week. Yes, I know having a 2 year old that would not remember much, if not anything, isn't the best idea. Just seeing him laugh and smile when Buzz,Woody, Mickey, Goofy, etc... is all worth it for me. Especially the pictures parents make, hoping for the kid to smile.
It depends on the day of the week where we start (assuming we'll be doing all 4 when we visit). But our first day in town always starts at the Wyndham by Disney Springs with shopping and eating. Then it may also depend where we stay too. We usually do split stays (and tend to be in the BW area first) so Epcot or HS might be first. Animal Kingdom is always relaxing though -can't go wrong there!
Thanks AJ and your staff. We fly out June 1st. We have the first two days the same then a day at Typhoon Lagoon. The next two days will be magic kingdom and Hollywood on our last day. It worked out this way because we will be getting the extra hours at Epcot and MK. Since we have the extras, both days we’ll be going back to the resort for naps and pool time. God Bless AJ. PS… I’ll think of our dads when I’m there God rest their souls.
When our kids were little, we choose to visit Disneyland over Disney World for the very same reason, easy to plan, more compact to get into both park and strolling around, Toontown, etc. Once the kids are in elementary school age, we start doing Disney world mostly for 7 days with 5 full day in the park. First and last day at MK, with the other 3 blend in between. During Extended evening hours era, we planned which park to visit sole depends on which park offered extra time, normally it’s HS, EPCOT, AK and MK, then we did a split stay at universal for 3 days to end our trip. Now the kids are much older and all they care about is thrill ride, especially after Epic opens, our next trip probably will be stay at universal, and only do after hours event at HS and MK.
Out go to since trip one was AK day one and MK last day. Slower first day and our last Disney impressions will be the castle. Usually do a character breakfast on our departure day too
I always love your videos and your suggestions. Thank you. I like to start at Epcot. It is a later park and not so overwhelming when it comes to rides. My kids liked the chill relaxed vibe with going on rides with not long waits like Figment and living with the land and spaceship earth and having the option of doing whatever whenever. We enjoy the seas and aquarium and just taking it all in. If we happen to go around 9:30am those rides I mentioned are typically not long, and we can do frozen and ratatouille later on.
Monday Epcot with extended evening hours, Tuesday Hollywood studios Wednesday MK with extended evening hours, Thursday resort day and Friday animal kingdom for us in June
This is pretty close to my upcoming trips schedule! I laughed when you suggested an After hours for Studios because that is exactly what I'm doing! The day we get in is The Hollywood Studios After hours event, Day 2 Animal Kingdom, Day 3 Epcot, Day 4 Free day probably a bar crawl on the Skyliner and dinner at Springs, Day 5 Magic Kingdom...then we go On The Wish for 4 more days! We are very excited
Thank god tough to be a bug is being rethemed. Traumatized me as a wee kid in the single digits. Gathered the courage to go with friends in my 30's still scared the daylights out of me. HATE TOUGH TO BE A BUG
My kids have been on the GO since they were born! I never let them slow us down and we went and did everywhere! Magic Kingdom will be a breeze for them, especially at 12 and 14 now! They’re used to living life at lightening speed! 😂😂
We first went to Disney World 3 years ago. I had never been before and my partner hadn’t been to WDW since it was MGM Studios. How surreal everything is in WDW is overwhelming in the best way possible. We have gone back every year since, going at different times to take advantage of the different festivals. I never do a park day on my travel days, too stressful haha. Lately, we’ve been flying out at 6pm (after work). That way all our PTO days are put to good use and only one of those PTO days are used for travel haha. This year it’s our first Halloween trip and I’m super excited!
Wow! Kinda sounds like us .. started returning several times/year in early 2020 (then our global hiccup) after not being there since 1994! What a change! And challenging to learn/navigate! But so fun too!
We go for eight days and seven nights. The longest my family and I have gone is 10 days.We are going soon and we are starting our first day at Epcot with our early flight. On one of our trips, we did start our trip with animal kingdom.
We are planning to go to Animal Kingdom on day 1. We plan to get to Pandora during early park entry. We are going to do Flight of Passage and River Journey first. Glad I'm on the same page.
Day one we always Rope Drop Magic Kingdom and hit a ride or 2 then have a late Breakfast at Ohana, but I can totally see taking it easy at Animal Kingdom for first timers to ease into Disney crowds!
Most likely arriving after 2 PM my first day after leaving Daytona Beach for my 30th class reunion and visiting family. Since Animal Kingdom closes early it will not be my first day park. Epcot Center being my favorite park it will be the first to visit after 2 PM and second day with a park reservation already made. Also after paying $1400 for an annual pass no way I am paying $150 for an extra 3 hours!!!
We're starting at Animal Kingdom this weekend. Happens a lot because we usually travel Friday and start parks on Saturday. I will NOT go to Magic Kingdom or HollyWood Studios on a Saturday, unless that is my only option.
that is exactly the order my boyfriend and I did when we went to Disney World last year except - the first two days were Animal Kingdom, we spent half days in each and hopped to another park for dinner and another ride or two, day 4 was a soggy resort day - and the Hollywood Studio day had a Jollywood Night party so the daytime crowd was down a bit -- I'm a morning person so I rope dropped every day and my boyfriend would meet me for lunch
I’d love to see this with estimated prices, to set expectations when budgeting on what a particular trip itinerary may cost. Disney is expensive, it’s well known, but having a sample itinerary with price estimate would be helpful!
I miss Disney world so much I’ve been wanting to go back for so long only problem is the saving for the trip part which is very difficult because I’m always needing money for food or to pay the bills it really sucks but hopefully one day in life I will get a chance to go back! 😊

Hey AJ! I haven't been to Disney since 2006 (Sr class trip) so it's gonna feel like a 1st timer for sure. Planning for next year, me and the girlfriend, 5 park days. Any tips on whether we should do March, May, or September? Love the videos!
I think the free water park on arrival day will backfire on Disney. People arriving mid-afternoon or later might stay first night at off site hotel so they can enjoy full benefit of free water park the next day...I know I would!
Solo trips just make everything 1,000 times easier. The only issue I’ve come across is the reservation system sometimes not allowing tables for 1. So I usually book for 2 and let my host know when I get there.
@@AlexandriatheRed I hired a TA for the first time & she’s been amazing at getting my must try/do reservations. I’m worried I won’t know what to do with myself lol
What is a better choice: an extra day in the parks or a day in disney springs? 5 or 6 park days(2 days mk and 2 days epcot and the rest 1 day or only mk 2 days)?
Ooh that’s TRICKY. I like having a Disney Springs day just to give myself a little break mid-trip, but if you don’t plan on visiting Disney World again for a while, then you may wanna double dip on some of those parks while you have the chance!
Did I understand that for GoG virtual queue for extended hours you need to get your time at 6pm? If this is true, does this need to be for TRON as well? Thanks for any information.
It’s been 2 years since Cosmic Rewind opening, do you think they’ll keep the VQ for much longer? We’re going in late Sept. plan is to hit EPCOT on arrival day, is that a good option?
It really all depends on the group. For me, I could spend a full day in Animal Kingdom, but I have friends who tend to treat it like a half-day park. And while one day in Magic Kingdom feels like a good fit for me, those traveling with younger kiddos will more than likely want to split up the park into mutliple days to help pace things out and take plenty of breaks. Again, it all depends on what you and your group are wanting to accomplish, and how much time you wanna accomplish it in! I’d say look over all the different offerings in each park and come up with a list of “must do”s. You can start to get a feel for how many days you’ll need in each park after you see your priorities listed out.
Hi! The hotel water park perk is available at the start of 2025, and you can only use it on the day you check into your Disney hotel. If you get to your hotel early - before your room is ready - you can always drop your luggage off with bell services so you don’t have to worry about carrying it around all day long.
@@dfbbreea the question is something I realized watching Wednesday’s Video. If you book 2 or more hotels during the same trip are you getting a water park admission for each check in day?
@@nocturnus009 you should get one for each check in day. "split stays" are a fan concept, Disney's system treats every reservation as a separate one. no reason to think you won't get more than one water park admission the way you're able to order a magic band for each resort stay. tbh it's probably the best use case for it since you'll not have a room for a chunk of your moving day.
You might not have a room to get ready in until 4-5pm, and you should plan on walking to magic kingdom gates at 345pm. That would be the only challenge, if you are dressing into a costume.
It really all depends on your personal preferences and what time of year you’re visiting, but in the past we’ve managed to accomplish pretty much everything we really wanted to do here in a single day 😊
We are doing 5 days at disney and 2 at universal. Thinking of VIP pass for universal which is very expensive I know but will get Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in 1 day and then we will do Epic Adventure on the next day.
After 10 yrs of using DAS, i no longer qualify. So AJ? Are all lines easy to navigate using a ECV? I see my self taking out a few folks but gosh no other alternative but to stay home.
Akershus is another example of Disney giving you less and charging you more. They used to have you meet a princess for a professional photo that they would print out and place in a souvenier folder. That is gone now. Got rid of it when it reopened after Covid. We have eaten there many times for breakfast pre-Covid. We went back last April. It is not the same. We won't be returning, sadly.
Hey, hey, hey! Slow down AJ. You’re talking way too fast and we have to keep rewinding. It’s not fun to pick up tips when you’re talking a mile a minute.

Our flights get in at 1230pm. We booked the halloween party on day1 sept.2. Do you think i made the right choice?
You might not have a room to get ready in until 4-5pm, and you should plan on walking to magic kingdom gates at 345pm. That would be the only challenge, if you are dressing into a costume.
I like doing parties on arrival day. You can go into the park (on your party ticket) and not use up a park ticket for a half day (arrival day).
@@allihead6292 yea we are doing shirts for that reason lol
@@vincent412l7 thank you❤
Is one day enough for Animal Kingdom?
It really all depends on your personal preferences and what time of year you’re visiting, but in the past we’ve managed to accomplish pretty much everything we really wanted to do here in a single day 😊
I took the red eye and got to the parks at 830
Were you exhausted??
Not until the 4th day
I slept on the plane and napped before I left
@@dfbbreea no not til the 4th day
The virtual queue is the most short-sighted decision of this lifetime.
5 days in 2025: 3 days at epic universe and 2 days at islands of adventure
We are doing 5 days at disney and 2 at universal. Thinking of VIP pass for universal which is very expensive I know but will get Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in 1 day and then we will do Epic Adventure on the next day.
After 10 yrs of using DAS, i no longer qualify. So AJ? Are all lines easy to navigate using a ECV? I see my self taking out a few folks but gosh no other alternative but to stay home.
Not until the 4 th day
Day one Epcot
Step 1: Go to Universal :) Step 2: Go to Avatar ride Step 3: Go back to Universal
Hollywood Studios a half ( or quarter day) Epcot 3 days,MK 1 3/4 days
I support an Epcot-heavy trip 😎
Epcot first day. Animal kingdom last day
Oh no is the night time parade gone?
Don’t do Cinderella’s Royal Castle. It made me sick and ruined my whole day at Magic Kingdom.
Hey, hey, hey! Slow down AJ. You’re talking way too fast and we have to keep rewinding. It’s not fun to pick up tips when you’re talking a mile a minute.
Did you know if you hit the little gear icon you can speed up or slow down the playback speed? Try that and see if it helps. 😊 Hope it's helpful!!
No, I didn’t. What does that do to the sound quality?
Always turn her videos to 0.75 speed (until she learns to slow down). It'll sound like a normal human being 😅
@@amypresuhn2563wow!!! That’s a game changer! Thank you! The original speed gives me some anxiety. lol!!
The water park deal is AWFUL. NOONE is going to water park right after a long flight. Most arrive at night time. Its just pointless and dumb
