That is such a good point!! LMAO... you make so many good, logical comments on this channel.👏

I love how in the finale Bertram actually went against the mom and called out her poor parenting and Bertram even called out the kids on how ungrateful they are to Jessie showing how he actually loves them.
Precisely, that made me stand up and cheer, and showed that despite his laziness, Bertram really does care about the kids and Jessie.
Bertram was by far the best character.

He was the best character and pretty much everyone agrees with me on that. Ravi the second and Mrs kipling as the third.

They played so heavy on the Indian stereotypes even as a kid I’d know they were doing too much.
And Karan Brar doesn't even speak like that in real life. Like, I used to watch Lily Singh back when she only did UA-cam, and she did a video about times when she would be forced to play with children even though she was an adult, and Karan made a guest appearance. This could be some internalized prejudice I had, but I was surprised to hear him not speak with a stereotypical Indian accent. So, yeah, Jessie was heavy on the racist stereotypes.
@@rebeccassweetmusic4632 that video was also when I realized Karan didn’t have that accent in real life. I was very surprised when I first saw the video
@@madisonmad2767 sameeee I was like....why didn’t they just let him speak like how he does?!?
Even as a kid, the portrayal of Ravi always made me feel uncomfortable.
As a half Indian, I agree.
the fact that karan brar (ravi’s actor) had to fake an accent for the role is just…no
I KNEW I FREAKING KNEW that that wasn't his voice. I hated that. 😡
i don’t understand why he was okay with that. he did it in diary of a wimpy kid too. at least he stopped doing the accent during bunkd
@@tuopsy he was a child actor. Nine times out of ten they are told and forced to do things without their opinions or feelings being taken into consideration because they’re simply actors doing what the director and sometimes their parents tell them to do. I’m pretty sure he being grown now obviously regrets it and thinks it’s unacceptable but as a child actor you don’t really have control over what you do and or say.
@@tuopsy actors, especially POC actors often have to just accept that they'll have to play into these stereotypes just for a role. It's very fucked.
No, because let’s talk about it. None of the kids developed whatsoever. Emma stayed being snobby, selfish; and airheaded. Luke stayed being disgustingly unhygienic, misogynistic (although the show tried to portray him as a “Casanova”). And Zuri stayed being nosy, meddling, and cruel. Bertram had a right to hate the kids the way they constantly bullied, tormented, insulted, and belittled him for his job as a butler. I felt bad for Ravi in every single episode, because he was always the scapegoat. And I’m not even gonna talk about the sassy black girl stereotype they pushed on a CHILD in the show (which just screams misogynoir, or the nerdy Indian boy stereotype they gave Ravi, along with the fake accent and mocking of his culture on the show (which just screams racism and xenophobia). Morgan and Christina constantly neglected the kids, which caused them to be ungrateful troublemakers, and the fact that Jessie was a terrible nanny and barely disciplined them and constantly got them into dangerous situations didn’t help their awful personalities either. The show preache’s about the values of family and friendship while playing a laugh track over a sibling being mistreated. And finally, how could we forget Creepy Connie, a sexual assaulter and stalker of Luke. Whenever they played a laugh track over her being psychotic, it never sat right even for my child self. If Creepy Connie was a guy and Luke was a girl, everyone would absolutely despise and hate her character, but because she’s a girl, double standards come into play and it is taken with a grain of salt because “Men can’t be sexually assaulted and stalked, and if they are, it’s funny” *cue canned laugh track of Luke being chased around his own home by Creepy Connie who has a dart weapon*: And speaking of the double standards society has on sexual assault victims, I’m not even gonna get into Mrs. Chesterfield constantly sexually harassing Bertram, who is clearly uncomfortable with it.
😑 And people wonder why I hate Jessie now, when I used to love it as a child. Anyways, sorry for the rant, this show has been getting on my nerves since I started seeing how problematic it truly was in 2016.
I feel like Emma developed more as a person in Bunk’d, especially once she became owner of the camp, even if the show was bad.
THIS^^. Everything about this is absolutely correct.
@@ang4588 yh me too. That show was terribly written but a least emma grew.

Same! I never understood why my parents didn't like this show either until I watched some episodes recently. I can't stand every single character on the show except for Bertrum. While Bertrum is a walking stereotype of the "fat" character on the show with his memorable line, "iT'S tOo FaR..." He wasn't afraid to call out the whole family and even Jessie for being privileged. The worst part is always seeing Zuri and Ravi play those typical offensive caricatures like "the sassy black girl" and "the weird but smart Asian kid." 🙄

Emma was definitely annoying when it came to her status, and she could be selfish, but in a way, I liked her character (to an extent) cause it seemed to have a little self-awareness that she was a parody on typical rich girls that flaunt their wealth and don’t care about others, rather than someone to be taken seriously. Plus, I think I just liked Peyton List’s dry delivery and she had some genuinely funny lines that were overlooked in favor of the more extroverted kids. But some of the things Luke said to/about Ravi were.... problematic to say the least. Like when he told him to “freak out in American”, or made fun of his culture and birthplace while doing that school project on India, and basically tricked Ravi into doing all the work for him. He didn’t need to bail him out in the end lmao. Not to mention, all the times he was super invasive towards Jessie. The fact that they mentioned Luke hiding cameras in Jessie’s room and sneaking them under her door multiple times and it was always played off for laughs never sat right.
Yeah. The xenophobia in this show was so vile and I dont know why kids were expected to just laugh at it.
Luke really is the worst: mysgony, lack of hygiene, xenophobia and racism and overall just a really creepy future frat boy vibe.
I remember one nasty joke Luke made about Jessie's dress in the Lizard auction episode. I was appalled that Disney thought this was ok.
They did the whole they’re just like any other kids thing by putting them in a public school with normal kids and giving them normal kids problems but it didn’t work because their money got them out of a lot stuff
When did he tell him to freak out in american? I don't remember that...
Of all the kids ravi was the most grateful for what he had
He was the best and my favorite character from the show!
Evan Bertram hated him less

It’s probably for publicity. Though with Jessie as their nanny, the poparozzi would probably go away.
A lot of people irl have kids shipped in from other countries or troubled homes for publicity, they possibly did the same.

Especially with one of them sexually harassing her 24/7, she should have taken her check and dipped fuck those kids.
both jessie and bertram shouldve quit their jobs tbh and the parents shouldve actually raised the kids they chose to adopt
I always hated the characters on this show. Now obviously this hurts to say because of the late Cameron Boyce, and not hate to him whatsoever. But like with the exception of Jessie herself and Bertram every single character were completely unlikable (and not in a way that made sense). Emma, Zuri and Luke being the worst ones. Especially Emma and Zuri. Don't get me wrong Jessie has her share of unlikable moments, namely during the final two seasons. But everyone else around her who isn't her boyfriend Tony and Bertram are just worse. Even their mom Christina was often mean to Jessie past season 1, especially that Season 2 episode where Emma hosted the fashion show and in the series finale. Even Ravi who was suppose to be the nice kid had episodes like Coffee Talk. Emma does develop a lot more in Bunk'd, which is nice.
With Zuri she always got away with scheming, disobeying and being rude to Jessie. Especially in that body swap episode. Emma was always rude, selfish and loved insulting Jessie, especially when it came to her look knowing Jessie isn't good in relationships. As for Luke he was always protrayed as a casanova, despite being a misogynist.
To me the episode that showcased the kids at their worst and made me question why Jessie even bothered was G.I. Jessie (quite possibly the most frustrating episode of the entire show) Rossed at Sea, Karate Kid-Tastrophe, Morning Rush, Evil Times Two and the Body Swap episode.
@@clancysworld8188 The episode was named Toy con
Why do you consider G.I Jessie to be one of the worst instances, and the fashion episode? In that one the kids didn't do anything.
@@openspaces5263 Because GI Jessie is a frustrating episode and constantly tortures Jessie for no good reason. In this episode everyone who isn't Jessie are so one sided against her/unlikable. The Ross kids constantly disrespect her throughout the whole episode, from that kitchen scene where Zuri fights with Jessie when she tries to take the tray away, only to have the tray flip over in Jessie's face as the kids laugh at her and Zuri gives her a smug look when Jessie was only trying to disipline her.
Then we have Emma who had just met a guy she barely knew for 5 seconds, only to claim Jessie is "ruining her relationship". I can understand from the perspective that Emma is a teenager and they do stupid things like that, but Emma does stuff like this constantly when she falls for a guy. How easily she turns against and disrespects Jessie happens too much to be considered "teenage stupidity".. Especially since one instance involved Emma locking Jessie in a room to be with a guy both of them liked!
And despite the fact this is an event where they are meeting Jessie's dad, they don't care or listen to Jessie until she snaps and tells them she's had enough of their crap! Only then they decide to "care" because she quit.
Then you have Jessie's father who comes off as a HUGE asshole. He's constantly one sidedly blaming Jessie for every little problem that goes on in the episode. He just expects Jessie to get along and respect her childhood Bully simply because he's marrying her mother, ignoring the fact the bully makes no obvious signs to not do the same. He never tells Jessie's bully Darla that she has to commit to the same amount of mutual respect, instead he just berates Jessie for insulting/fighting with Darla even when Darla is the one who insults Jessie or starts the conclit. Also its his daughters bully, why would she want to get along? What makes it even worse is her father is completely aware that she bullies Jessie, as one scene Jessie mentions to Darla's mother that Darla had once pushed her into a well only for her father to give her the "ahem" to make Jessie not saying anything mean about Darla.
I can understand if Jessie's dad had no idea Darla was like that or was fooled because Darla put on an innocent facade, then from his perspective it would look like two people having a petty squabble, but no he's full aware of all of it, but just decides to be one sided against his own daughter for absolutely no reason! Especially once you realize he was the reason she left home to pursue her dream as an actress because he wasn't supportive of her dream, yet expects Jessie to do the same thing when he marries the mother of his own daughter's bully?
It also goes against what was told about his character before he was revealed. He comes off as an abusive asshole in the episode, but seemed like a strict/stern, but loving military father by word of mouth.
And no the ending does not save the episode because it felt like a Cop Out, all of a sudden Jessie just isn't blamed for everything, they never actively scold Darla for making a mean comment about her in front of their faces and despite crashing into the building before, all of a sudden they were completely okay with it when they weren't the first time.
@@openspaces5263 As for the Fashion episode. While the kids aren't horrible to Jessie their mother Christina certainly is. I listed it as an example because why would Jessie want to work for the Ross family when her own boss basically abuses her the entire episode?
In Season 1 Christina genuinely seemed to care about Jessie, even to the point of defending Jessie from a bully nanny's hate blog. In this episode Christina treats Jessie like a servant, even to the point of making her wear a shock collar, then uses her as a human pin cushion. When she has Jessie put on a dress she tries to pin ends up pinning Jessie instead, she also spends the episode giving Jessie annoyed glares. Even when Jessie is shown struggling to carry some heavy fragile objects and asks for help in the end credits! She even ignores Jessie's story about bonding with her father!
This just perceeded with Christina's future appearances, where she would seem to be annoyed by Jessie more often than not!
YESS GI JESSIE OMFG. That series finale boils my blood. GI Jessie was the Season 2 finale, and I think it should’ve just ended with Jessie quitting like she said because she kids were constantly being rude, selfish, disrespectful, and disobedient during her stressful time when her enemy is about to become her stepsister, her dad doesn’t care that she got pushed out of a well and is mad that she chased her dreams in New York, her future mother in law takes the evil stepdaughter’s side all the time, Emma runs off with a random guy we never see in any other episode and gets herself trapped in a bomb Bunker with him, Luke and Zuri use a high tech military machine that causes damage and destruction, and Ravi just goes along without growing a spine and refusing to take part in their shenanigans, and of course Bertram and the military chef always insult Jessie for being “whiny” when she’s going through a tough transitional period of having a stepfamily and her father marrying someone else other than her late mother. 😤

IMO Ravi was even worse than Zuri.
i agree sometimes these characters are horrible, but I never hated all of them. Emma is annoying, Ravi is good, but he needs to stand up more to his siblings and stop getting sucked into their shangenions. Zuri is the worst, the only thing I like is her being with milly the mermaid and her loving animals. Luke was okay, annoying flirt and can be lovable. Jessie is good, but she needed to do more stuff ouside of being with the kids. Bertrum, he is lazy, he needs more respect, and I love that he likes opera
Luke was no way near ok. Real disturbing shit
Milly the mermaid was weird. like other than everything else that happened on this show (which dear god it has not aged well) Milly the mermaid...they held like a funeral?? didn't she get killed by like a swordfish or something? It was kinda dark for some kid's imaginary friend

Don't hate the show, and no shade to Cameron Boyce, but man I only liked Jessie, Bertham, and Ravi. Emma was okay-ish at times but her school goth friend (what was her name, was better than her).

I abruptedly quit watching this show when I saw the episode where they torment the boy with the peanut allergy. Not only was it hugely unfunny and offensive, but impressionable viewers might get the idea to do the same thing!

As an (half) Indian…I didn’t realise how much they were unnecessarily bringing up how Ravi is Indian when I was a kid. Like…why…
On kids emulating the characters they watch, I did that so much. When I watched iCarly, I wanted to be Sam so bad. I spent a lot of time emulating Sam and even had a butter sock at one point that was actually full of rocks because I couldn't find the butter in my house.😂 I kinda knew the whole time that my personality was much closer to Freddie's, but I didn't want to admit that for years. I especially related to Freddie in the episode where Sam played pranks on him and called him "Gullible Freddie." I had a best friend throughout elementary school and middle school who would constantly trick me into believing random things she said and would always laugh and say "Oh Ren, you're so gullible." Needless to say, I became very self-conscious of that. I wish I could've said that particular iCarly episode helped me feel less alone in my gullibility as a kid, but it didn't because Freddie gets pranked the entire episode and the show frames it as being ok. Even when Freddie got upset, it was depicted as him overreacting to good fun. If anything, that episode made me want to be more like Sam than ever because Sam had the upper hand the whole time. I know I'm commenting under a video about Jessie, but the point about kids emulating characters they watch and parents not wanting their kids to watch certain shows because of it really hits home. Also it's cool that you're a Freddie too. :)
I had a “butter” sock full of rocks too ! Definitely wasn’t like Sam as a kid, thankfully honestly.
Yes it is cool to be a Freddie because Freddie is just as awesome! EEP! :)
I just relized I am a bit like Freddy because I did have a group of friends who disrespected me thankfully I cut them out and confronted them about how terrible they were
I literally relate to this comment so much
I know it’s hard for child actors to separate themselves from character.. so i wonder if the characters of Zuri rubbed off on Skai Jackson? From a really young age, she played a character that was rude and cruel and it was just seen as sassy or comedic.
She’s been exposed this year on Twitter for being rude so I think it did
@@clancysworld8188 when?
@@clancysworld8188 u said "always" im not talking about that
Debbie Ryan and Skai Jackson never got along when filming the show so i think she’s never exactly been the sweetest girl either. Honestly it’s probably being exposed to business and acting at such a young age that made her like this
What are you saying? How would you know if any of that is true? We’re you there? No
I feel like a lot of Disney and Nickelodeon shows from this era (early 2010s) didn’t age well. There were some really good ones but most of them had at least 1 negative trope. As much as I love Phineas and Ferb the whole Baljeet and Beaufort relationship was awful. It was funny to me as a kid who didn’t know any better but to laugh at whatever they showed on the screen, but after thinking back on it I realized how bad it must have been for South Asian kids, or nerdy kids, or kids who were being bullied to watch that. And don’t even get me started on the whole sexualization of Ariana Grande on Victorious or the whole Dan Schneider situation and how Skai Jackson has unfortunately become the character she was forced to play.
absolutely. as a young south asian kid, i saw my people being humiliated, mistreated, and dehumanized and it being played off as a joke on tv. it was so harmful and it contributed to so much of my internalized racism and self hatred in middle school
Omg Dan's foot fetish schemes always weirded me out even as a child. Yes i watched iCarly but whenever they out the foot on the screen i was so creeped out and disgusted. Even on Sam&Cat they asked their children viewers to send pics of teir feet to be featured in an episode?????? Jesus christ
can we talk about the episode “gotcha day” ?? the whole theme is zuri’s birthday party was the stereotypical african savanna…there were zebras, gazelles, etc. they make it seem as though africa is remote and does not have houses, electricity, cars, etc like the united states does. i always hated that episode and always hated that stereotype.

*Reads title and remembers all the racial stereotypes*
Oh yes it is
When they were making Emma, they were making the obligatory "spoiled blonde rich girl that teenage girls should relate to". I always felt like I had to like her but I never did at the end of the day :/
I don’t see how the show was trying to make her relatable as ur saying?
@@Hi-yb2jr i think they mean like because she was always with the trends and stuff like that
no, she was a parody of the classic spoiled rich girl and was not meant to be related to (they made her character quite the opposite they made her UN-relatable pushing the stereotype that rich people are de-attached from reality) SHE WAS MENT TO BE UNLIKEABLE
they made the TWO poc characters walking amalgamations of stereotypes and micro aggressions for “comedy”. they forced them to have accents they never had in the first place and it became even more forced and aggressive as the show continued (also i know that Luke is mixed. however he was portrayed as a white kid the entire time, his biracial background was never acknowledged in the show, only once outside of the show)
Being an adopted child, the adoption plot is what really pulled me into Jessie. Honestly the show was kind of pretty close to my family, working parents, three other loud siblings and a babysitter this show was pretty much a comfort show that I could somewhat relate too but yes this show really has some issues.

@@itoo4884 It’s OK, you’re allowed to have your opinion. @@suredude_thatscool480 I might have been incorrect about it being in the pilot, but it is definitely in the first 3 episodes. I forget exactly how the scene plays out but the joke is that Bertram gives Jessie pepper spray and Jessie says “in case I get a-SALT-ed?” * cue laugh track *
@@deeanna9402 oh, thanks for letting me know.
Yeah, Jessie had a lot of messed up moments that they tried writing off as jokes. Like the whole Creepy Connie thing and how Mrs Chesterfield literally sexually assaulted and harassed Bertram multiple times.
It made me so mad how they did Ravi. Like he wasn’t even supposed to be on the show and they put him in just to add diversity but they literally just stereotypes him as the smart Indian kid and made him the butt of all the jokes 🤦🏾♀️
I didn't like how they used stereotypes based on race in this show. When I was younger I didn't notice it all that much but then my mom told me about what they were doing. As an Indian, I disliked how they overused Indian stereotypes with Ravi and I also didn't like how Zuri was the "sassy black girl". Also, about you saying that they were bad parents, something that's sort of ironic is that there was one episode where Christina came to the penthouse and she was sad because the kids went to Jessie for help, not her. Like bish you're barely around, what do you expect?
I remember when I was younger, I was so excited when I saw Ravi because I was STARVING for that south asian rep, but then I actually watched the show, and just.. no. I'm American but most of the mannerisms and culture that the other characters (especially Luke) mocked in Ravi were things that I saw in my own parents. And can we talk about Karan Brar and Skai Jackson for a moment?? Imagine being a literal child and having a bunch of random white people basically go, "You know what would be funny? If you forced an Indian accent/talked 'ghetto'! People would love that!" And just believing it because, again, they were LITERAL CHILDREN. Idk, it just riles me up that the two of them had to deal with stuff like that even off camera.

It is so crazy to me that the parents hired Jessie who was 18, barely an adult, to take care of their children.
I actually like Zuri and Ravi in the first couple seasons, back when they were both sweet and somewhat likeable. But I do admit Ravi was done really stereotypically. Also they ended up making Zuri even more of a stereotype when she got older. If they did less of that, they maybe could’ve been better. And I bet Bertram’s back hurts from carrying the show!

i loved this show when i was younger. i distinctly remember jessie and zuri just complaining about boys together in one scene.
When I was little my parents banned me and my brother from watching Jessie because of how rude they were to adult figures and how we were starting to copy their additude.
I'm a lesbian too! (And yeah I'm surprised this sow wasn't banned in my house, esp with all the shows that were.)
I remember the first time I became aware of what pores were was from Jessie- I believe the mom was telling Jessie she was ugly because of her pores. Cue my current insecurities about my skin. Seriously the constant reinforcement of physical features being ugly fucked me up
May we please talk about that one episode where the white girl framed Zuri for the problems she caused and her rich father + Jessie believed her? That is outrageous. At least Jessie got a feeling that the girl was lying and stood up for Zuri, even though she could have lost a big job. That does play a little bit into the "white savior" industrial complex though.
its funny how there was that one episode where luke started getting good grades and was revealed to be intelligent only for him to still be airheaded after that episode. Also there were episodes where Ravi was portrayed as athletic or cool only for him to go back to being a nerd. There was genuinely next to zero character development in this show unless u count the characters getting worse over time as "character development"
“ theres nothing funny about stalking” you hear that Miraculous?
I love Jessie (probably bc of childhood nostalgia) but all the characters are such stereotypes: Emma the dumb blonde, Zuri the sassy black girl, Ravi the Indian kid, Luke the womanizer
The Indian Stereotypes in this show were really bad and they didn't even try to sugar coat them or cover them up at all. I distinctly remember how uncouth and unfortunate they were toward Ravi's character and toward Indian Culture. Having grown up around a lot of people of South Asian descent, it really made me uncomfortable. It was really just sad.
I really liked the new setup that you had. It was very pretty and very well done. 😊
Is it weird that I always felt like Zuri didn't like being black??? Like. She didn't want an African birthday party to celebrate where she came from. She wanted the basic princess and pony show that she got every year instead, which, for a kid, is fine and understandable, but at the same time, I felt like Zuri needed to embrace the fact that she WAS black AND from Africa. It's like she was white washing her background. Idk. Maybe I'm wrong. It's just my opinion though.
Also, let's not forget just how awful of a person Emma Ross is because she had the episode where she was dating a bad boy in the 1st or 2nd season, and in S4, she had that episode that was kind of like a copy and paste of the bad boy episode I mentioned minus the boy drama. Emma literally needed to get her blonde (and purple/blonde wig) hair snatched and talked to like the child that she is. I literally wanted to reach through my tv and do something I shouldn’t do as an adult, cause I would've smacked Emma for talking to me how she was talking to Jessie. Jessie is a whole ass, grown ass woman, and could NOT control those kids.
Morgan and Christina were awful parents who were never there. And tbh, the series finale of Jessie was shit because Christina probably didn't keep her word either. Talking about how she was going to stay home and be with her children more. Nah, because the first chance she got, those kids got thrown into camp. In hindsight, it was Summer Camp, but still!!! You're supposed to be at home with your kids, right? That goes for the summer too. The fuck?
And Jessie was a very bad nanny for them and the "lessons" she kept teaching them never stuck. And I see why because she never stuck with what she said. Every time the words "I quit!" spewed from her mouth, she would be right back being mistreated, and disrespected by those knucklehead, bad ass children. It very much needs to be talked about how bad of a show this is for children because it absolutely is a hot mess.
I don't think she did, I mean, just look at how she wore her hair! 😍 But I do see how she could feel like that. I think most Black kids felt like that once, it's not about hating being Black, it's about internalizing racism. But I do think she got over it. Also she shouldn't be forced to have any type of birthday party that she doesn't want anyway.
I have no idea why I liked this show as a kid...so many uncomfortable things.
Why is all of our kids media so awful? Guess one too many people said "why do you care? It's just for kids."
One thing I couldn’t stand about these shows is that there’s always this reoccurring child character that’s RUDE to everyone. Teenagers and adults, they’re just extremely rude. Doesn’t matter how many times they learn their lesson in the show about how their behavior is disgusting, they are still rude when they come back.
which is why i hate family shows.
Is it everyone in the show?
Yeah those parents didn't even check on their kids
the mother appeared once per season (the father disappeared after season 1)
every time she appeared she learned the same lesson over and over again
I couldn't stand the show as a kid because it was just so hard for me to watch. literally the only reason I forced myself to watch the show was because of Cameron (may he rest in peace, I still cry whenever I think of him) and the other actors like Peyton and Karan.
Almost all of the disney channel / tween kid shows had the characters be so rude for entertainment value. My parents had to ban me from watching it because I started to pick up a bad attitude... anytime I dared to talk back they said "she's watching that family channel again" LMAO
20:30 omg the episode it was ravis first day of school and luke imitate his accent…
no cuz ravi was done SO DIRTY. like it was so sad cuz when i heard his real voice i was like :0 because they forced him to do a fake indian accent?? and none of the yt characters had to play in to this stereotype (except for maybe stewart a little bit) like as an indian, this is not it.
i’m cracking up because this is one of my favorite disney show & i agree with what she said😩😂
A Reddit thread that asked “what’s the most messed up episode of a kids show you’ve seen” made me remember that episode where Jessie took away Luke’s stuffed koala for an extended period of time as if it was something that he had to wean off of. He was cuddling him around IN HIS OWN HOME why is it such a big deal Jessie?? But then again when this episode aired I think a lot of people had the mindset that people HAD to “grow out of” comfort objects and as someone who still loves plushies and more childlike things looking back at that episode was just really messed up.
Not really messed up actually, at his age Luke should’ve already grew out of it. He wasn’t really helping himself on that, if it wasn’t for Jessie he’d most likely have it all through high school and possibly adulthood.

Can we talk about how Luke's inappropriate behavior towards Jessie was always played for laughs? Everyone's always talking about Connie but I've barely seen anyone mention this. The cameras, the comments, ect.
They brush it off because Luke's inappropriate behavior towards jessie isn't as extreme as connie's action. But seriously even if it's not as extreme, it shouldn't be brush off. As much as I loved watching Jessie growing up, I did feel as though the children never really had any character growth. Emma would continue to be snobby and look down upon others. Luke would continue to be lazy, unproductive, and arrogant. Zuri would be rude whenever she felt like it, and still never really changed. A few instances with Zuri, was when Ravi wanted her to take of Mrs Kipling's baby's, but Zuri decided to just let them loose. I'm not saying Ravi, didn't have any issues, but what I am saying is that he was handed the short end of the stick most of the time, and the same even happened in Bunk'd, maybe not as much, but still. Ravi deserved better.

The thumbnail is so funny for no reason 😭😭
I came here for the tea on Jessie, I liked it once but now that I'm older, it has so much issues and thank God you pointed that out.
Tbh I feel like Ravi and Bertram deserve better in my opinion, Bertram was soooooo mistreated by the kids and Ravi got bullied too much
Did anyone else hate the episode where they went to Jessie's dad's wedding and she had a breakdown and didn't wanna work for them anymore cuz they were being unruly and selfish cuz she just wanted the trip to be stress-free and they guilted her into being their slave for the rest of the shows run? I was actively rooting for Jessie to just leave the family at that point cuz they treated her like garbage.
everyone treat each other like garbage in that family
Everytime the parents were onscreen it just felt off, like they didn't feel the parents of their own kids to me.
