I too could never bring myself to shell out $40+ for those either. I had opted for some cheaper variant which works ok. For smaller gauge wire they struggle to pierce the wire because the needle is too big and usually pushes the wire out of the way. I'm eager to try this out! And came at just the right time too with a newly acquired 3D printer for Christmas. Thank you for the stl file and the great idea, Denis. Just purchased these from AliExpress. Guess I'll find out how great this really is in March! 😉

I don’t understand the pricing of these extremely expensive wire piercings probes. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that people order them for that price.
I would think that $10 would be very well paid for items like that.

What we really need is an Amp Probe Clamp that is flexible that can go around wires located in tight areas (which is always the case in a car).! Or at least a "flexible head" like you see on a ratchet. That would be a good project for you, Mr Gadget.

Maybe I missed it, but where did the white, yellow and black portions and the needle come from that you insert in your green hex?
the clip that showed these can be bought on Aliexpress got lost on the cutting room floor!
