    featuring the Columbia Orchestra
“SGT. PEPPER’S was a decisive moment in the history of Western civilization.” -Kenneth Tynan
Remember when you used to listen to an entire album? Classic Albums LiveClassic Albums Live does. Not a tribute band, these world-class musicians take on The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, note for note, cut for cut, allowing you to experience this remarkable album in its entirety. Adding to the complexity of sound, musicians from the Columbia Orchestra will join Classic Albums Live on stage as they perform Beatles’ classics like “With A Little Help From My Friends,” “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” “Getting Better,” “Fixing A Hole,” “She’s Leaving Home,” “When I’m Sixty Four,” “Lovely Rita,” “Good Morning, Good Morning,” “A Day In The Life,” and more!
For this concert, Classic Albums Live will be joined by the Columbia Orchestra. Founded in 1977, the Columbia Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra that rehearses in Howard County. Conductor and cellist Jason Love, winner of the American Prize for Orchestral Programming leads the orchestra in his sixteenth year as Music Director. Praised for his “intelligent and innovative programming,” The Baltimore Sun has called the orchestra “Howard County’s premier ensemble for instrumental music.” The Columbia Orchestra last performed as part of the Festival in 2007 with violinist Mark O’Connor.
“No wigs. No costumes. No fake accents. Just the album as you heard it before you wore it out on the turntable.”-The Toronto Star
