    The sikorsky s h 60 or m h 60 sea hawk is a multi mission capable helicopter. It was developed from u h 60 black hawk, as a utility maritime helicopter, and also for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare role. it able to deploy aboard any air-capable frigate, destroyer, cruiser, fast combat support ship, expeditionary transfer dock, amphibious assault ship, littoral combat ship or aircraft carrier, the Seahawk can handle anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, naval special warfare insertion, search and rescue, combat search and rescue, vertical replenishment, and medical evacuation. In 1974 united states navy conducted a competition for replacing, the Kaman s h 2 seasprite helicopter. Sikorsky aircraft submitted proposal in 1977, and navy selected sikorsky s 70b design in 1978, which was designated s h 60 b seahawk. It is produced since 1979 and navy received the first production s h 60b in 1983. Seahawk entered service in 1984 and began its first deployment in 1985.
    General characteristic
    The s h 60b seahawk has a length of 19.71 meter, height of 5.23 meter. The helicopter has 4 blade over its main rotor, with main rotor diameter of 16.36 meter, and main rotor area of 210.17 meter square. Sea hawk is operated by 3 to 4 crew, with a capacity for 5 passengers in cabin. It has an empty weight of 6895 kilogram, gross weight of 8055 kg, and maximum takeoff weight of 10433 kilogram.
    Performance
    The s h 60b sea hawk uses 2 general electric t 700 401 c turboshaft engine, with each consisting 1410 kilowatt or 1890 shaft horse power for take off. It has a maximum speed of 270 kilometer per hour, and never exceed speed of 330 kilometer per hour. It has a combat range of 450 nautical mile or 830 kilometer, with a service ceiling of 12000 feet or 3700 meter, and rate of climb 8.4 meter per second. The helicopter has a payload capacity of 3032 kg in internal and slung load.
    Armament
    The s h 60 sea hawk is one of the best anti-submarine and anti-ship capable multipurpose helicopter. It can carry vast quantity of armament. Can carry up to two mark 46, or mark 50 or mark 54 torpedoes. The torpedoes has a maximum speed of 74 kilometer per hour, with an operational range of 15 kilometer, using active or passive acoustic homing guidance system. The helicopter can carry 4 to 8 a g m 114 hellfire air to surface attack missiles, with a maximum speed of mach 1.3, and an operational range of 0.5 to 11 kilometer, using Semi-active laser homing Millimeter-wave radar seeker guidance system. The sea hawk can fire high subsonic sea skimming capable, penguin anti ship missile, with an operational range of 55 kilometer. It can carry and fire rockets, with a maximum speed of 1 kilometer per second, for an effective firing range of 5 kilometer. The helicopter also consists of machine gun and 30 mm autocannon.
    Avionics
    Sea hawks avionics includes dual controls and instead of the complex array of dials and gauges in Bravo and Foxtrot aircraft, 4 fully integrated night vision goggle-compatible and sunlight-readable color multi-function displays, all part of glass cockpit produced by Owego Helo Systems division of Lockheed Martin. Onboard sensors include: AAR-47 Missile Approach Warning System by ATK, Raytheon AAS-44 electro-optical system that integrates FLIR and laser rangefinder, ALE-39 decoy dispenser and ALQ-144 infrared jammer by BAE Systems, ALQ-210 electronic support measures system by Lockheed Martin, APS-147 multi-mode radar/IFF interrogator, which during a mid-life technology insertion project is subsequently replaced by APS-153 Multi-Mode Radar with Automatic Radar Periscope Detection and Discrimination capability, and both radars were developed by Telephonics, a more advanced AN/AQS-22 advanced airborne low-frequency sonar jointly developed by Raytheon & Thales, ARC-210 voice radio by Rockwell Collins, an advanced airborne fleet data link SRQ-4 Hawklink with radio terminal set ARQ-59 radio terminal, both by L3Harris, and LN-100G dual-embedded global positioning system and inertial navigation system by Northrop Grumman Litton division.

From where royal Australian navy operates 24 helicopter and additional 12 on order, Brazilian navy bought 8 helicopter, Danish air force operates 7 aircraft, Hellenic navy operates 12 anti-submarine helicopter with 9 on order, indian navy ordered 24 sea hawks in 2018, Israel navy ordered 8 helicopter, Japanese armed forces operates over 250 s h 60 j/k helicopter, royal Saudi navy ordered 10 helicopters in 2018, Singapore air force has 8 sea hawks in service, Spanish navy operates 18 aircraft, Taiwan navy bought 19 helicopter, Thailand navy bought 8 helicopter, Turkish naval forces operates 24 sea hawk. United states navy has 526 sea hawks in service as of December 2018.
