Jack Perry is honestly on an entirely differently level now. Personally, I never understood the hate. People loved him with Jurassic Express and then immediately turned on him despite him having some excellent matches like the cage match. But to his and AEW's credit, they took him off AEW TV, let him do the NJPW thing to get some edge to his character, and now he's come back looking like a million bucks and he looks comfortable when he cuts a promo.

This episode was so bad half the roster and commentary team didn't even bother to show up. Imagine if they'd built this for a couple months to where Kingston and Danielson being in the match made a f*cking lick of sense, let alone got a pop....Schiavone and PAC looked like broken men in their on-cameras.

He's ridiculous but that's kinda what I love. His matches are ugly and not like most aew matches but they are often undeniable. I like the vibe that it's all real to Eddie. I like when he oversells. I like when he looks like he's gunna cry during promos. He might not be "it" but I think he is a great element on the roster.
