I love this movie for the simple fact that it was the first scary movie that I watched when I was a young child and it's what got me into horror movies and gave me a love for horror movies. I always love when somebody discovers this movie and enjoys it. Loved your guys's reaction
I love this version of The Haunting -- I've always felt that every incarnation of a story should be evaluated on its own merits, not by comparison to other versions. Loved the performance of all the actors, and of course yes, Catherine Zeta Jones is to die for.
This was poorly written, way overdone, woodenly acted one moment, overacted the next. Those ridiculous cherubs gasping and oohing - absolute cheese from beginning to end.
As much as I love the original, I really like this one as well. If people have complaints with the original, it's usually "you don't see anything". I think this is a lovely adaptation of "seeing" things while also being true to some of the themes from the original.
I like this movie, I don't care what people say! The reason why is because it was directed by Jan De Bont, the VFX were done by Industrial Light And Magic, Tippett Studio, the sound effects were done by Skywalker Sound, and the music was composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith.
I like how you caught the necklace relation first. I didn't catch it till they showed the big painting near the end. This was my first horror movie and it still holds a place in my heart.
16:13 the door and rooms sounds are in the 60's Original but it keeps everything off-screen making the 60's film more scary in that regard but the CGI was a knockout then and still holds up to this day improving scenes from the 60's Original
I have a soft spot for this movie. I was a huge fan of The 7th Guest and the set design on this film is incredible. It really makes the house a character in its own.
i loved this film but i wished the ending was better. if the film ended differently and elinore had lived and the evidence she had to prove her linage to the family and the house was accepted in a court of law, imagine her sister's jaw drop when she shows up demanding she let them live there with their disrespectful demon child Elibore could even give them a taste of their own medicine (reenactment time!) well sis if you want to live here mr. and mrs. (forget their names) care takers could use some help, you can be (MY) maid, and your husband can do all the yard work, oh and anything your son breaks by accident or on purpose goes out of your salary and charged to your next month rent, he's also your kid so if you tend to work your normal job and live here you're responsible for his well being, because let me tell you sis, I'm not not your baby sister! Oh and one other thing ( LIFE OUT HERE HAS BEEN THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU TOLD ME.) Now if you will excuse me, my bff Theo is coming down this weekend and i gotta pick an outfit because she's going to do my portrait that'll be displayed in the main hall, so please act scarce I would hate for her to know i am housing my formerly high and mighty self-entittled sister in my mansion after she threw me out of my own mother's home. She might even convince me to throw you out if she even smells your dollar tree perfume.
Dude, the scene where she gets snapped in the face by the piano wire actually happened me but with a guitar string and let me tell you, THAT ISH HURTS!!! It happens so fast that your body does not have time to react and once to touch it and see blood, the shock and pain sets in. Mine happened on my cheek years after I saw this film but when it happened, it brought me back to that scene!
The exterior is Harlaxton in England which the University of Evansville in Indiana uses for their study abroad program. Most of the interiors are a giant set in an airplane hangar with a green screen ceiling.
If you want to see the actress of Nell in this one then watch the first Conjuring movie cause she is the main part there too if you have not seen it already that is. The first one is the best out of all the franchise in my opinion and the most scary as well. This movie and the show as well is based on a book with the same name that was written in 1959. I would be curious to see how you both react to the movie Ghost Ship mostly because not many react to it sadly and I actually enjoyed it.
Lili Taylor is also in _Mystic Pizza_ (not appropriate for this channel, obviously) and a lot of other (mostly indie) thmovies, but also in the vampire movie, _The Addiction._
I'd never seen this movie before either. I was in 5th or 6th grade back in 1999 and I wasn't ready to watch those horror movies yet. And if your dog doesn't want to stay outside, she'd better behave for you guys.
You have to watch the 1963 horror movie 🎥 the haunting the original movie 🎥 I really want to see your reactions it’s one of my favorite 😍 movies 🎥 and you have to watch the 1963 horror movie 🎥 trailer for the haunting I really want to see your reactions please 🙏🏻
I can't believe there are actually people who liked this version. Just awful - bashing us over head the every other moment to make sure that we understand how very scary it's supposed to be. Cheap scares, bad acting - and don't get me started on those ridiculous gasping cherub-children. I don't let myself be ruled by critics' opinions, but this was so universally panned, I'm surprised it's still circulating. As to the peopled who claim that the original didn't let you "see anything" (really, we're that lacking in imagination?), that's one of the things that makes the original so very good. You have no idea what you're fighting against. No matter what the monster, once you've seen it, you know what you're up against - you've given it form. The most terrifying is to not know.
Hey you guys should react to “Identity” 2003! It’s directed by James Mangold and stars John Cusack!! It’s so good and suspenseful! Add it to a pool, please!
This is a minority viewpoint I know, but I didn't care for the original version. I much prefer this remake. The original seemed to want to make it about mental illness rather than ghosts, and never provided a satisfactory explanation as to what happened and why. I was especially irked because for a movie called "The Haunting" and based on the novel it was, there wasn't a lot of verifiable haunting going on. I like my ghost stories to have ghosts in them.
I object to the use of the word fuck fucking as if to prove that the word itself makes you so unique and sexy but from the mere habitus and looks of a person plus the age i do believe nothing better can be expected i only looked at the film because no one else is passing comentry on it sadly thank God most of the elderly dont use the f word and if swearing is called for it is usually for a reason so try and learn some manners young lady...
you have to watch the changeling 1980 and the grim reaper 1980 and the uncanny 1977 and Martin 1977 and the eyes of a stranger 1981 and I really want to see you both react to the trailers of each movie 🍿 I really want to see your reactions 😱😭🍀👍🏻🍿❤😊🐇🙏🏻🥰☺🤞🏻💵😭🤑🥃🎬🤫✅😅🤩
*"FIST TIME WATCH"* *BUT JUST SO HAPPEN TO QUOTE THE MOVIE LINE FOR LINE **13:37**....🙄 ENOUGH WITH THE FIRST TIME WATCH CRAP AT THIS POINT WE DONT BELIEVE YOU*

I also really like this movie. It's internally consistent, and I love that in a mystery horror movie.

Double decker greenhouses have always been a thing, of course the lower level is usually mushrooms or other plants requiring low light.
The exterior is Harlaxton in England which the University of Evansville in Indiana uses for their study abroad program.
Most of the interiors are a giant set in an airplane hangar with a green screen ceiling.
Jerry Goldsmith did a fantastic job on the music
HAHAHHAHahhahah I loved the WOW count. I enjoyed your reactions.
Thanks! There's another count for all the Totally's in our "Halloween" video!

Scary movie 2 is partially why I watched this movie.. so when she said “roll son!” I thought of Smokey and Cindy jacking the girl’s jacket💀
That was a great movie guys. I'll have to see that movie again someday.
Have you guys seen rose red? If you like this movie you'll love rose red
This is one of my favorite movies!!!
I love Kenan and Kel, that's my favorite show years ago.
I like it too. It was good. The old version was good too. Both are good respectfully.
I'd never seen this movie before either. I was in 5th or 6th grade back in 1999 and I wasn't ready to watch those horror movies yet. And if your dog doesn't want to stay outside, she'd better behave for you guys.
I sure do love libraries and books.
Have you done _The Legend of Hell House_ yet? Also, _The Innocents,_ which is based on the same thing as _Bly Manor?_

She should try the original _Haunting_ again.
This is one of my favorite movies :]
Goodnight guys.
My dream was always to live in a huge house. I wouldn't mind putting up with a few ghosts.
A mirror merry-go round, cool.

Kinda reminds me of the video game called "Danta's Inferno".
I do have a bad feeling about those statues.
The only people they are missing is the prom Queen and the kid in the wheelchair.

Have you guys ever seen Anaconda (1997)?
Oh she's the old lady from "Home Alone 3", isn't she?
You have to watch the funhouse 1981 movie 🍿 it’s really good 👍🏻 and it’s really scary 😱
I have a movie for you.
Lord of the Flies
R 1990 ‧ Adventure/Drama ‧ 1h 30m
I believe Theo announces she's bisexual in this version.
The original's a better film.
Can they stop making fun of Martha Stewart?

This stinks...the 1963 film is great!
This was probably the worst remake it wasn't even scary
you have to watch the changeling 1980 and the grim reaper 1980 and the uncanny 1977 and Martin 1977 and the eyes of a stranger 1981 and I really want to see you both react to the trailers of each movie 🍿 I really want to see your reactions 😱😭🍀👍🏻🍿❤😊🐇🙏🏻🥰☺🤞🏻💵😭🤑🥃🎬🤫✅😅🤩

I've seen most of the movies. She hasn't, so it's a first time watch for her.
