What conclusions, if any, can we draw from instances where identical mental images / significations might be evoked? For example, given a narrow enough sample population and allowing for the possibility of actually seeing another’s mental images, if we asked a group of structural linguists what concept or image is signified by “tree,” it’s likely that for a certain number, this signifier would evoke the famous illustration from Saussure’s “Course” depicting the binary “tree” / “arbor”. So for this albeit small group, could this same illustration have at least a quasi-transcendental status?
matter is much more interesting as it arises from asymmetry in beta decay of kaons .. the self rising difference comes from a slight difference between forward and backwards. Much more Derrida like. Also thanks for pointing out that spirt is part of logic.. I think this is correct and why deal readers fo Hegel love spirt so much, it is better understood after logic, as it forms the premise for logic.. I love this.. I can't read the book as I can't get an audio version and I have the reading age of 7
You present the arbitrary nature of the sign and language as a system of differences as if they are Derrida's "observations", when they are actually Saussure's theory of language.
Derrida critiques ("deconstructs") them (in OG and in MoP) to show that Saussure didn't think them through to the end: he didn't try to figure out what this "difference" actually is and remained anchored in a metaphysics of the fullness of the sign and took for granted the natural primacy of speech over writing, what Derrida calls the "metaphysics of presence" and "phonocentrism".

I doubt you want it in reality , but here is the Big Bang .. the question itself is wrong, because part from some recent developments involving a form of echo (due to neutrinos passing unmolested) with previous universes there is no way of knowing previous. this is in philosophy terms the noumenon.
wow , really evil ad technique.. mixing skipping ones with short.. and very jarring... And worse is the fact you go on about how sorry you are about them.. just do it, just be evil, dont ask us to participate in other thing we hate.. you know Zizek did this.. the old style dad saying.. come on lets see your grandmother.. kids complain, he replies get in the car.. skip to modern version, kids complain, father explains, but won't your grandmother be sad, etc.. and so the kids are forced, but now participate or could in their own punishment.

@@TheoryPhilosophy I genuinely do have a sensitive soul and genuinely it is jarring.. but so what? Just dont make me complicit.. say, look im making money out of this. Stop "oh I care so much about you and hope you get it and even enjoyed the ad" .is that too much to ask?
