Alcoholic, sober since January 4, 2023 and I love kava. What a lot of people need to grasp is that partaking of kava isn't like being drunk or stoned and you may be disappointed if you're thinking it is going to feel like that.

I used to drink Kava when I quit drinking, but the feelings were so incredibly subtle that it didn't really help much. I wound up taking Kratom, which was much more pronounced. Now it's time to quit that....

I actually just took kava my first time tonight after doing a bit of study on it. I can honestly say, it’s very nice. Makes me feel really calm and relaxed. I’m an almost 5 year kratom user. Nothing heavy, I take 4 grams in morning, 3 in afternoon and 4 at night. I’ve taking a few breaks in that span. I can get used to kava
Kava is awesome. I like heady and heavy. Right now i am 33 days off kratom, severe painful health issues, a d I'm drinking karuna Kava for the pain. It's helping because from what I know, kava is a natural muscle relaxer. I accidentally passed out from it earlier 😆
I’m a heavy kartom user right now and want to stop ( I used to do fent ) did kava actually help you quit? Like did it make you feel good enough to not do kartom at all?
@Kronicangel28 kava is definitely not a replacement. I also used to be on suboxone 24mg/day (crooked Dr.) for ph$rma problems, if u catch my drift. I used to be a heavy kratom user too for chronic pain and energy as well because i developed chronic health issues. If you're looking to cut, I would start with replacing part of a dose with hirsuta and javinica. Still hits receptors in different ways, no active kr8om ingredients. It contains alkaloids. That's what helped me most first time cutting down. I'm off completely now, but i do have to say i used it a few times here and there for pain, but not much. 3x i think. I would definitely talk to Joey! Where has Joey been??

I bought a few different roots from art of kava and found the solomon purple lateral root to be the best...lateral only seens to be the strongest.
Haha yeah i bought some latteral roots my body didnt like it tho got super itchy skin and a bit of redness swelling took a break after that haha

I would really like to try the karuna kava, because it would be easier to stomach around sleeping time. From what it sounds like. Then it might be usefull to quickly grab, like you did, in middle of night. Too bad im in europe so no chance to get it
