Can you tell me more? I'm know nothing about Arknights and about the characters of this game... xd
Gyuuki Nightcore it’s not like stereotypically sad, but here goes:
theres this disease going around that causes crystals to form on (and in) people’s bodies. It is transmissible through contact, or something close to contact, so the “Infected” are heavily segregated.
Blaze was a normal Infected, and joined Rhodes Island to both get treated and fight for other Infected. She worked really, really, *really* hard, and is now one of the strongest Operators at RI. She wasn’t a genius of any kind like the other Elite Operators, she wasn’t born with innately powerful Arts (magik), she wasn’t born with super strength, etc.
So now she’s this champion of RI, fighting for the Infected’s rights. In story, RI is defending a city from Reunion, another group trying to fight for the Infected, but a lot more aggressive and terrorist-like.
That’s basically where I think the sadness comes in. She’s trying to save/fight for all these Infected, risking her life in her training and combat, putting in just *that much* effort that she can match up with the heaviest hitters in Arknights lore. However, Reunion is just so close to terrorism that she’s forced to fight against them, despite often starting fights inside RI and with RI’s allies because they disrespect the Infected and Reunion. She’s fighting an internal moral war, the physical war against Reunion, and the external moral war against her allies.
She is one of the more optimistic operators, but I just feel like all of her effort and optimism is all for naught. Not only that, her whole life has been spent fighting a clear enemy that she can just go to the gym a bunch to improve against, or just practice her Arts, etc, but now she can’t use force to solve her problems.
E: her story doesnt really compare to others like Zima and her group though.
