Man this is such a great song and fit in the movie perfectly, the 80s was the greatest decade for everything. Movies, music, video games, toys, cartoons, TV shows, and way way way less liberalism / political correctness. I loved every minute of it. Those 80s electronic soundtracks are some of my favorites like some Tangerine Dream stuff: Risky Business, Legend & Thief. The Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack etc etc. Harold Faltermeyer did a great job with this and Top Gun, The Running Man, Tango & Cash & Fletch. I actually emailed him a few years ago to ask why they haven't released a full soundtrack to the two Beverly Hills Cop movies and he actually replied to me, he said he didn't know why but wished they would one day. It only took them forever but they finally did a year or two ago I believe.

Points for experimentation and originality on both fronts. That being said as an 80's child (born in the year of Star Wars 77). Music was best left to pop and rock took a huge dive that never recovered. Movies were classic but cheesy as hell and would never pass today's standards. The past is the past and I love it ALMOST as much as you do, but we're both wearing those "past" goggles.
