Great demo. Today, I bought the replica of this, the Elta Music PLL-4046 for $270. Schulmann PLL costs over $2,000 now, if you can find one. Mantic Flex Pro is another interesting phase locked loop synth pedal.
Thanks & kudos for your methodical approach to the Schumann PLL. I got mine from Main Drag Music in Brooklyn just before Herr Schumann went into self imposed pedal exile. I'm gonna check out this INFANEM of which you speak. However, of the analogue synth manglers the Schumann PLL is the MeisterWerk!
There's room for everyone in the gear world. That's what's so great these days there's so much to choose from. Nothing is better or worse it's really all personal taste :)
Also, for a similar but little less price pedal check out INFANEM- Analog Harmony Synth pedal. All hand made of amazing quality & has about same controls as the PLL but has more Harmony settings; lower octaves, other intervals, & yes it's completely analog
True true... Lucky for me I like the Snazzy - Miniarc better. Schumann accused it of being a copy but as soon as he found out about it he pushed back releasing PLL to redesign a better one. Which really seems like he did because he truly heard something better & wanted to top it.
Great demo! I just found out about this for the first time today. This pedal came out in the 1990s (or so I've read)? It must have been right at the end of that decade; 'cause otherwise I don't know how the hell I completely missed it...
@@bassfuzzcom Thanx! That makes a lot more sense; this one doesn't really look like most of the 1990s pedals in terms of design aesthetic. By the 2000s I wasn't playing in bands quite as regularly; perhaps more to the point, I also no longer had easy access to free copies every month of practically every guitar & bass magazine, hahaha! I know I missed a lot of cool equipment since then...
I used to think the WDM Geiger Counter was the sickest, weirdest pedal out there.. this demented beast might just have it beat. I mean that in a GOOD way, of course...
@Rasputin1176 Yeah, I got one to try it out. It's a different beast to be sure, and I didn't like the control scheme personally. I do think you get like 85% of the Schumann though, at a tiny percent of the price.
Also, that's what happens when someone fails to make a piece of desirable gear available for too long, someone else makes one. & I don't feel the Snazzy is a clone of the PLL. Just because a pedal uses a phase locked loop doesn't mean anything. They sound different. Lets see if Schumann ever makes this new PLL anyway...
No Way!! It does no cost $3000 dollars! It's more like $500. Think about it, a pedal is not going to be the price of a really nice hand made boutique amp, even the rarest pedals don't cost the price of a crappy amp....

Thanks for your detailed demos of this rare pedal!
Man! A vintage moog on a stompbox. NIN sound ;)
Appreciate the periodic explanations of the various knobs verbally awa the aural demonstrates...complicated little fuzz pedal!

Agreed. And awesome demos man! I love watching them.
It looks like a WW2 radio !!! Awesome sounds!!!

The Ftelettronica version has even more knobs and switches!

The pedals I had were from the early 2000s

WILD pedal and GREAT video! what did you pay for this pedal? what is a good used price +/or where can I buy a new one?

I was thinking that the fuzz probe by zvex was way the best fuzz that you can dream to have...
Should be called the NES box.
Is this your original design or can this board be bought? I'm super into this!
MOARRRRRRRR!!!
Must have! Sweet f'ing unit.
It's kinda like a crazier version of the Subdecay Noisebox
I can get a variety of the same sounds through both my uglyface and LAL cyber psychic, but that doesn't mean i dont still want one of these :p

Does your jazzmaster have a mastery bridge
Сумасшедшая штука. Сёрферам 50-60-х с их shin-ei-сиренами и не снившаяся. Дизайн под стать аппарату.
@threeonegrecords You got one for free for saying that, didn't you! :P
we do care !
"messload"
@ASharawadji 3000 $
screw all the bullshit, just give me a cheese burger
