Very strange that a let wasn't called on that point. They can call a let for anything considered a hinderance, a noise, a bird, a piece of paper, a camera flash, etc., the lights flicker completely off and on in the whole stadium and no let call?
The umpire failed to make the call because he was just as stunned as everyone else, but should have corrected right away.
Yes, it was ONE OF the best matches of the year.
I would Love to see Leylah and Maria do well in 2023, specially Leylah.
Never got around to watching these amazing matches live or in highlight form even - so thank you to this channel for uploading these INCREDIBKE matches that I otherwise would’ve needed to resort to more heinous and annoying ways 😅😅😊

Buenos dias Profe, ante todo quiero feclicitarlo por su bien reconocido premio, soy un seguidor de su canal hace mucho tiempo, la informacion que brinda es basada en hechos, no en simples comentarios. Soy de Peru y lamentablemente tengo que comunicarle que la informacion que estan manejando en mejico con respecto al incidente en Peru es erronea. Castillo no solo ha demostrado gran ineptitud para manejar la nacion, tambien ha demostrado gran ineptitud para controlar la corrupcion existente dentro de todo su entorno, familiar y persona allegadas de su localidad.
Hemos visto desfilar mas 50 ministros en este tiempo que esta en la presidencia.
hemos visto entregar cargos a personas que no eran idoneas para la funcion
Hemos visto como ex ministros se fugan del pais porque las investigaciones estaban en progreso e indudablemente se demostraba su participacion
hemos visto como el mismo presidente le paga a sus colaboradores para que no hablen, y esto lo digo porque es cosa probada
Hemos visto como las mafia departamental de Chota (el pueblo de castillo) se traslada a la capital, con una red mafiosa bien organizada. Todos sus familiares estan involucrados o en condicion de no habidos.
El lunes pasado comenzo a declarar un funcionario publico que estubo a cargo de las entregas de dinero q hacia el gobierno y ese dia salio castillo en tv a decir a la nacion q no era corrupto, dia miercoles era la interpelacion de castillo en el congreso. Ese dia castillo anuncia el cierre de congreso, toque de queda, cierre del poder judicial y otros. Acto seguido intenta ir a la embajada de mejico, lo cual no tubo exito. Todo esto fue premeditado, ya que anteriormente castillo coordino con AMLO sobre su asilo, esto confirmado por su propio presidente.
Como dijo su presidente castillo le informo que era denigrado como persona por su condicion de andino, y dijo que les apestaba a los capitalinos, se sabe bien claro que castillo intetnta explotar su imagen de "cholito", parece que ustedes le han creido.
El punto de vista de usted como de su presidente AMLO no me satisface, Evo Morales dice que fue estados unidos, realmente no lo creo, no se que pruebas tienen ustedes para asegurar lo que dicen. La defensa que ustedes hacen en favor de castillo realmente ofende, a todos los peruanos nos da verguenza que ni siquiera llegue a un nivel de criterio basico, que salge en CNN y diga que no sabe y que va a aprender, la ineptitud es total.
No se que criterio y que fuentes ha consultado usted para expresar esos comentarios, lo podia esperar de cualquier otro youtuber de geopolitica pero menos de usted.

This seems like such a long time ago.
I believe Leylah Fernandez has not made a final since this classic and has seriously lost form and confidence.
She's a shadow of the player we see here back in March 2022.
I even feel she's playing more defensively these days, possibly due to the lack of confidence in her game.
I really hope she can find her best form again as she's a fab player/shotmaker with an exciting style of play.
Also, Camila Osorio has not really kicked on as many of us had hoped (she just failed to qualify for Roland Garros) as she has great variety, too, and is nice to watch.
Here's hoping these young ladies can rediscover their best form and play many more classics in years to come.

Should've is misused by too many people. In sports, should've would indicate she won but was robbed and I saw none of that.
Leylah won because she is the one who should've won and she did.
Since Maria didn't win all those match points, Leylah won because she should have won and she did.
Those who win win by merit and should've belongs to pop culture thoughtlessness.
I feel there's abuse on the ball boys and girls in tennis. Previously, they had to hand-fetch wet sweaty towels to the players but now after the pandemic, players have to get from their towel baskets themselves. Happy to see this but there is another thing, why are these ball boys and girls made to go down on one knee at the net waiting to pick up balls? Cruel! Why can't they be given some kind of stools to sit? Sorry, one more just comes to mind, why must these ball boys and girls made to stand in the hot sun carrying umbrellas for the players between games? Only in tennis do you see such royal treatment for players.
I agree with you completely regarding the sweaty towels unless, the ball kids use gloves. I am glad players have to get their own towels now. 2. The knee thing is for two reasons, (1) to have them alert and (2) "ready" to get the balls. 3. The chair/stool is a bad idea because the organizers need the game to move forward as fast as possible according to the rules, a chair may make some of the kids sleepy and they Can't have that. 4. The umbrellas are for the comfort of those bringing in the crowds and the views and the money: the players. Most people do not want to see sloppy players, and angry, and complaining about the heat, so that comfort makes sense. The show Must go on at a pace most of us viewers want it to move, so it all makes sense. 5. The only sport? Because no other outdoor top sport relies on a single player for entertainment: the athlete given such treatment makes sense. The show Must move on.
@@markuse3472 Thank you for your reply to my points above but surely you jest when you mentioned that these kids can feel sleepy if given a chair to sit on when they know they are in the 'limelight' of a tournament. If that's the case, the first person to feel sleepy can be the umpire sitting comfortably above with shades and cover.🙂 On the umbrella thing, I have seen tournaments where adjustable shade covers were installed on a player's bench.
@@andrewfoo6270 Kids don't carry the same weight of responsibility as adults, so NO, umpires would not be the first to feel sleepy and daze off. MANY people, even adults, fall to sleep during certain events or circumstances that required to be awake at all times, because they are seated, they have even killed others for falling asleep. Kids' brains or minds have not been fully developed to take on that responsibility, so if they were given chairs, it is guaranteed some would have to be awakened to get the balls. When there no roofs over their heads over their seats, then it makes sense to have umbrella kids doing that favor for the players.
